Relaxing enough but the story line is so upsetting. It activates my fight or flight so terribly. You have grown adults accusing a CHILD of things and an entire group of other children bullying the same child. I've played two other story lines from Game House and this by far is the worst one to follow. I just hit skip every time and I played Amber's Airline.
The sequel to Dr Cares does not disappoint in giving the gameplay we love with new minigames to spice it up. The plot opens up a bit more on Amy's childhood and it's pretty nice to see the plot not feature two guys wanting her, a common problem in woman led plots. It's a nice little game and the daily generated levels are a reason to check back in regularly.
Lovely story! I absolutely love the game.
However if you're a completionist like me, and you're looking to get all the achievements in this game. Don't bother with all that work! It is bugged, the devs acknowledged it, but did nothing. And nothing has changed since their last update in 2018.
Edit: Hi! I was able to get the bugged achievement. I'd like to deeply thank this person on this thread, for the care and time they disposed to find a workaround!

I loved this game!!! I didn't particularly care for the first Dr. Cares (Fabulous! Angela games are my favorite of the Gamehouse lot), but this one innovated in the genre in a big way by introducing choices in the cutscenes (kiss or don't, speak up or stay silent, etc). I also liked the characters, and although the plot felt a bit slow at times, I really appreciated getting some backstory for Amy. (Who among us hasn't had a Samantha in their lives?)
The only con I have is that sometimes there are EXTREMELY annoying animal sounds (i.e. in levels where the Special mission requires you to check up regularly on a specific animal).
Achievement Hunters: You can only complete 19/20 Achievements! This is on 8 July 2021.
Apart from not being able to 100% this game, it was enjoyable.. A fast paced time management game.. Cute characters, sweet story.. I was trying to decide whether or not to recommend this or not due to the achievement bug - but the game play was fun, the time it took to get through everything was worth the price and it was just honestly cute..
On top of that, I emailed the developers of the game and got a reply within 24 hours in regards to the achievement -- so honestly -- I would support the game also based on their customer service :)
For anyone who reads these - this is the response I got RE: the broken achievement: Our team is already aware of this issue and worked on solving the problem. That being said, while working on the fix for this issue, we've been informed that the game developer is no longer operational. This means that they will not be able to work on the game in any way. For this reason, the problem could not have been fixed. While we would be glad to solve the problem right away, due to various limitations we're not able to work on the game as of now so I'm afraid that the problem won't be fixed anytime soon.

A very simple game with a cute story, gameplay makes me think of games like Diner Dash. I love GameHouses games. I feel like for what you get, the game is a bit over priced, I would get if on a sale.
GRAPHICS
The graphics are bright, colorful with well thought out designs.
GAME PLAY
This is a point and click time management game.
AUDIO
The music and sounds are very good and isn't in a short constant loop that drives you crazy. Each chapter has it's own music.
AUDIENCE
This game is for everyone.

DIFFICULTY
This isn't a difficult game to play.
GRIND
There is grinding in this game. If you want the pet shelter achievement, you will have to go back over and over to get the points needed to get the individual pets to level 10. It is a little annoying.
STORY
The story is engaging. I think this game studio has very talented story writers.
GAME TIME
It took me twelve hour to get all but one achievement.
PRICE
The price was very reasonable.
BUGS
I found two bugs in this game.
The Shelter Dog achievement doesn't work. You can't get it. If you are a die-hard completionist, DON'T BUY THIS GAME.
I also had an issue where the game would flash on the screen. I would exit and come back a little while later and most of the time it was fine.

2 HUGE Gripes, Firstly you cannot complete the achievements. So in essence it's an incomplete game :/
The 'Purchase all rescue centre items' is broken, not just for me, but for us all and the developer despite aware and having requests and pleading for years from PAYING consumers on several different online platforms and direct contact, have NOT added a patch fix for this.
The other achievement 'Upgrade Rescue pets X3 to level 10' will have you logging in for weeks, yes WEEKS after completing to finish it. Complete nonsense, totally boring and frustrating beyond belief. AVOID! **

Such a shame, Purely because of the Achievement/Trophy room completion issues, it's not worth commenting about any further, don't bother unless you don't mind not being able to actually finish the game.
If you are looking to 100% then don't buy it. The shelter upgrade achievement does not work. After a year the devs "can't" fix it, and don't seem to care. Can't even refund it.
Just to add, whoever did the horse part knows nothing about them. Riders in jumping gear, talking about horse racing, and western saddles? That's just me being picky but I was annoyed.
This is cute and fun if you like time management games. The story is adorable.
The GameHouse games are like comfort food. You know exactly what you're going to get (time management with a sweet/cheesy/dramatic story) and the rhythm of them is great. Look forward to playing Family Practice!
The end of chapter 48 continually crashed, eventually I just watched a video on YouTube for the story I missed and moved on, since the level was marked completed. The two very grindy achievements (Shelter Dog and Shelter Cat) are annoying if you're a completionist.
Disclaimer: I've loved the game itself! Was fun and the story has evolved significantly from the first.
But... why i'm giving a bad rating for this one?
It's easy. The reason is because there is a broken achievement and developers doesn't fixed it since the RELEASE.
1 year and going...
Steam players aren't priority guessing by this.
I have all your games and will continue to buy, but if it happens like this again, say goodbye.
This game has few bugs and 1 broken achievement, and Devs don't care to fix them.
This game doesn't add much substance, and if you want to 100% it, you can't. Not only is the shelter dog achievement STILL bugged out, but it would take WEEKS of logging in to get the shelter cat achievement. Not sure how much bearing this has on the sequel as a story, but I like to try to 100% these games. And when bugged out glitches plus weeks of needing to boot up the game daily are required for an achievement...Well, I'd say give this one a pass and just watch a streamer play it.
What I love about this new season of Dr. Cares Series is the graphics and animation of the characters. The animation of each characters is more lively - and it is indeed a great improvement compare to the previous season. Another thing I love from this season is the story; where it allows me to appreciate Newton even more as I never expect it was Newton who saved Amy from the runaway - not once but twice. It really shows me Newton's birth truly meaningful ever more especially towards Amy. And I really enjoy how the stories raise the awareness of bullying in school. Not to mention, I have to say it is very genius creative idea to have the choices system in this time season of Dr. Cares! It makes me feel as if I am reading a Visual Novel! Overall, I absolutely enjoy everything Nitreal and GameHouse Original Stories gave us in this season of Dr. Cares series.
Nevertheless, there are certain issues and bugs which I would like to highlight, such as (1) the game crashed at Level 48 under Chapter 5; after we choose either of the options (Jack / Pawsitive) during the story scene - which is saddening as we are unable to see what is happening after we choose one of the two options, and lastly (2) the Shelter Dog achievement is bugged. Even though we have purchased all of the upgrades available at the adoption center, the achievement is not trigger. Although I am not entirely sure if Nitreal and GameHouse Original Stories teams are still working toward this issue, however according to this discussion post, it seems this issue is unsolvable. Even so, I am still holding onto some hopes that they will be fixing these. If the fixing is really entirely impossible, please do confirm it with me so I can just uninstall the game from my PC (leaving some spaces for other games which I would like to try)
Despite some of these bugs and issues, Dr.Cares - Amy's Pet Clinic is still a great game. It is worth of my time and I do wish to see more from this series. A big shout out to Nitreal and GameHouse Original Stories for their great work and awesome season for this series! Looking forward for more!
So far so good. The only minus is bug with one achievement ("shelter dog") but team is working on it... for months...

Amy's Pet Clinic might have cute animals in it, and that is always a bonus. However, as a sequel, it does not add much depth, if at all, to Amy's character - in fact, it feels more of an origin story for her antagonist, Samantha. Minigames and level designs are okay, and as a novelty, you get a customizable shelter in which you can take care of up to 3 pets plus an option to do daily challenges to get extra diamonds so as to buy new items for it. All in all, an adequate game but no substance.
I really like the story and I enjoy the challenges, the only negative I have for this game is the Shelter Cat achievement. It's super frustrating to achieve and it takes weeks to get it, getting all 3 shelter pets to level 10. It requiers of you to log in DAILY, just to get a few xp points up to level the pets and then it has a maximum cool down of 8 hours and if you're lucky minimum 2 hours. BUT, I still recommend playing the game. It's super fun playing as a vet, helping the animals and making a few choices was a great game changer. Is it worth buying? To be honest NO, but I'm a huge fan of the series. So, in support of GameHouse, I'll let this one slide!!
I love this series so far!
Only thing I didn't like was leveling the pets.
