Try to go through the tangled maze, evading the traps. When you are hit by one of the traps, you will have to start the level again. After exiting the labyrinth, you will move to a larger labyrinth, and this will continue until you can get out of all the labyrinths.
In this game you need to pass a small gear through the maze. It should be delivered to a portal, which is usually in the center of the maze, but before that activate it.
Levels became even greater, they became even more difficult and more interesting.
Not many maze games will create a whole new kinds of maze for you.
Use the keyboard arrow keys or W A S D button's to navigate the different mazes

The aMAZE Gears game offers a unique twist to the traditional maze concept by introducing enemies, or rather, traps. One wrong move and you'll have to start over as touching them proves fatal. The timer ensures that you stay engaged throughout the gameplay. While the aMAZE games are typically known for their relaxing and straightforward maze challenges, aMAZE Gears stands out with its added elements of danger and excitement.
While I’m not the biggest fan of the entire aMAZE series, I enjoyed this game. It brought a couple new features to the standard maze formula in the form of traps/obstacles like moving saws which “kill” you when you touch them, forcing a restart.
There’s also a time limit but compared to aMAZE Dark Times this one is way more forgiving, giving you the chance to actually wait and observe here and there in order not to die.
The aesthetic was a bit off putting with a heavy emphasis on metallic colors which kind of clash with each other.
Overall, it was a nice new addition to this series, therefore I can recommend this title.
Achievements
Like almost all the other games in the series, this one has 50 total levels, each level granting 3 achievements when completing for a total of 150. It’s rather easy to get through the entire thing in an hour or two, so an easy 100%!
The entire aMAZE series is generally a cheap, casual set of mazes as I've noted in previous reviews but what Gears brings to the table is added difficulty. The added twist of having to deal with the variety of gear hurdles before being able to end the maze adds another layer of complexity and makes broader use of the maze itself as you'll need to find your way into more than one corner of it to finish.
If you want a more relaxed experience try one of the others in the series, if you're looking for a bit more challenge, this one is harder than the original.

Ok, so I am trash it seems. i can't do any level within the time allocated. Give me infinite time and deny me my achievements or something please? Gawd, I could have loved this gam. Instead I will never play it again

Whit this sequel, aMaze is not just a simple maze game anymore, but also one that requires a bit skills and strategy.
Much harder then then the earliers
If like me you buy these games to relax do not get this, all the other maze games i own are great but this is is big pile of crap. Relaxing?, No chance! More like get you stressed game, -10/10 for the timer ;p if it was not for the timer i would have given this game 10/10, I hate feeling rushed with timers in games.
Great game, the challenge is good but i hate the timer as it makes the game feel rushed each level with many restarts.

If the dev added an option to or remove the timer i will change my review to thumbs up.

This is an instance where I wish there was a more neutral voting option.
The overall concept is good--one hit traps that you must avoid whilst navigating the maze.
The time is reasonable, though as many have said, it should have an option to toggle it off--if such is your play style.
The mechanic of speeding up whilst rolling against walls remains.
The music is decent overall.
The controls, cursor keys in this iteration, are, as with every aMaze game highly unresponsive. It is very difficult to stop where intended and hit-boxes for your character/gear seem inaccurate at times. The overall result is that ideal stops and perfect timing for some mazes can be extremely difficult. As with each death one restarts the maze from scratch there is definately a "groundhog's day" vibe to aMaze Gears which is not enjoyable.
Overall, this is a challenging installment in the aMaze series. It is, however, not challenging due necessarily to the design of the given maze/level but more to the lack of precision in the controls (or perhaps overzealous use of some inertia mechanic). Regardless, this is more stressful than relaxing and more frustrating than enjoyable.
Purchase if heavily discounted or to complete a bundle but definately not worth a buy as a stand-alone purchase.
I prefer to take my time with maze games, but this one doesn't allow for that.
It is still fun and well done, and gaves you a nce change of pace from the ususal aMAZE games.
Hard as hell, I like it 7/10
