Absolute Blue is a 2D shoot'em'up that was first released in 2005. Since that was quite a while ago, I decided to offer the game for free to everyone. Please keep in mind that it was created in a different time - nevertheless, I think that it can still be quite fun to face the attacking alien horde in your space fighter. I hope some of you still has some fun hours with it ;-)
About the game
You are an ace pilot and mankind's last hope. Hop into your Jaeger and brave 60 sectors of waves upon waves of enemies by dodging bullets while filling the screen with your own.
Upgrade your trusty ship into a force to be reckoned with as the enemy onslaught will be relentless.

Awseome game, I love it, old school bullet hell twitch shooter, great music, good graphics, hard and challenging but not insane. LOVE IT.
This is a rather lackluster shoot em up overall; the gameplay is pedestrian but passable, visuals have a photo-realistic look (From a below average camera) that has nowhere near the graphic appeal of more hand-drawn examples in the genre. But my most immediate and biggest complaint is the the sound effect of the main weapon is extremely harsh and grating to listen to; so much so that I would decide to stop firing in non-busy areas to give my ears a break from it. While the music doesn't fare as bad it is generic in composition and nothing that you would recall five minutes after turning the game off, which will likely be sooner rather than later with so many other better options out there. Just an uninspired effort and there are like a thousand other games in the genre which deserve your attention more than this one.
What a piece of crap.
Music 2/10
Visuals 3/10
Controls SO bad -2/10
i paid like 1 buck for this game and it feels like i was ripped off.
There are WAY better games, like Sterreden, Cosmonautor for as almost as little. Skip this.
Solid shooting game.
Decent enough R-Type variant, I think I got it for $1 or in a cheap game bundle, I don't really remember honestly. Finally got around to playing it. At first it was meh, slow and boring, but as you blow through the levels they do become more interesting and there is a decent variety of power ups and enemies. Controller support conflicts with controller configuration, actually I found many low budget or older games do, it seems to break controller support. Seems to me it was just thrown out there, but not really finished. I think only hardcore shmup fans who collect em need apply. And don'y pay more than $1. 6/10
Slow-moving, monotonous and super easy shoot 'em up. The mid-90's-ish pre-rendered graphics have some charm, and the music is decent, but the gameplay just bored me.
There's only a small variety of enemies, and they're few and far between. The few times you're actually faced by a decent amount of enemies you can barely see what's going on due to all the particle effects. Most of the time is spent collecting bonus point items and "dodging" oncoming walls at a snail's pace.
Not bad a game but I reached a point where I could not finish it. It's an area were you get 4 speed tokens just before you go through tunnels at high speed. I just couldn't get through it no matter how many times I tried. Then when I had to restart; it put me back a considerable distance just to get nailed by the tunnels again and again. Other then that it was fun to play but...
Graphics are suitable to ST or Amiga era 90s game, shaded chrome. This is good.
Users may expect it's something like R-Type or Thunderforce, but at this point it isn't -
The play action is too simple, and there's no balance to it.
More study of the classics is suggested, it could be redone.
I was getting graphics errors when starting the game in 4K, and when quitting the game in 1080.
Refund applied.
This game has potential. If you remember R-Type, then you'll like this game.
Mouse control is sluggish, so either use the keyboard or the gamepad.
Well, I am the first person to write a review on this. I had it in my library for awhile. I like shooters on easy mode to relax. This gameis flashy, lots of power ups and relaxing. Though you can playit on hard mode and it is much more intense. For a straight up shooter it is fun.
But it doesn't replace the Gaurdain Legend
