In the first 2 minutes of playing this game, EVERYTHING simply felt perfect. The graphics are amazing, the physics feel awesome although the external camera view to use a little tweaking.
Playing on my TX SIM Setup is bloomin amazing and I seriously should kick myself for not buying this game sooner
This is a must-buy. Hard to learn, hard to master, fun either way. If you get hooked and want good quality races, join a league (LFM, PitSkill).
This game only contains GT cars, so be aware of that.
Wheel controller is highly recommended, but a game controller or even KB + mouse can work due to the steering assists the game gives you.
Best of the Best.Kunos should keep this game updated
We want TCR Series,New updated gt4 and gt3 evo cars like
-BMW M4 GT3 Evo
-BMW M4 GT4 Evo
-Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT3 Evo
No giving up Kunos.Keep Pushing
Great handling mode, great community and engine go broom
Great level of detail and immersion. Not a sim you can just jump into and be fast. Need to learn about setups, tyres temps etc. For me it feels very realistic, great graphics, sounds and gameplay,
The Ultimate GT Racing Sim: Challenging, Realistic, and Immersive
Assetto Corsa Competizione takes the realism and precision of Assetto Corsa to the next level, offering a true-to-life simulation of GT3 racing. With stunning graphics, incredible attention to detail, and a challenging driving experience, ACC stands as one of the most immersive racing simulations available. Whether you’re a seasoned sim racer or new to the world of motorsport, this game is an incredible ride.
Gameplay
The gameplay in Assetto Corsa Competizione is meticulously designed for racing enthusiasts. The physics engine is incredibly accurate, making every car feel unique, from their handling to tire wear. The way each car reacts to throttle input, braking, and cornering is second-to-none, and the attention to detail in the tire model is impressive. It feels like every lap brings something new, with changing weather conditions and track evolution adding a layer of strategy that really immerses you in the experience.
For GT3 racing fans, this is the ultimate experience. The car selection, from the Audi R8 to the Ferrari 488 GT3, is deep, and each car drives differently, offering a variety of challenges. The driving feels smooth and precise, but don’t be fooled—it’s not easy. The game can be punishing, especially when you’re trying to improve your lap times or race with others in highly competitive online lobbies. However, this challenge is part of what makes ACC so rewarding. It’s a true test of your skill.
Graphics and Performance
The graphics in ACC are absolutely stunning, especially when paired with high-end hardware. The lighting, track details, and car models are all incredibly well done, and the dynamic weather and day/night cycle make for a visually captivating experience. Whether you’re racing in the bright sun or during an intense storm, the weather system dramatically affects the way the game plays and feels.
Performance-wise, ACC runs smoothly on modern hardware. On my system with the RX 7800XT, Ryzen 7 5700X, and 32GB of RAM, the game stays at 60+ FPS on max settings, delivering a buttery-smooth experience. The physics and graphics working in harmony elevate the immersion, especially with a racing wheel setup. It’s a visual and tactile experience that you feel both through the screen and in the force feedback.
Career and Multiplayer
The career mode in ACC is well-designed, offering a structured path for players who want to test their abilities against AI before jumping into online races. You can experience everything from single-driver endurance races to multi-race championships, each with a different strategy based on the car, track, and weather conditions. The AI is competent, though not as challenging as real players, but it provides a good foundation for honing your skills.
The online multiplayer is where ACC truly shines. The competitive racing scenes are alive and thriving, with leagues and events for both casual and serious racers. The game’s matchmaking and server browser allow you to find competitive races at every skill level, and it’s easy to get involved with the passionate online community. The competition can get fierce, but that’s what makes every victory so satisfying.
Sound and Atmosphere
The sound design in ACC is top-notch. The engine roars, tire squeals, and ambient track sounds really immerse you in the experience. The engine sounds for each car are distinct, and when you’re at full throttle, the roar of the engine feels alive, especially when driving at high speeds or through a corner. The atmospheric sounds of crowd cheers and pit crew chatter also add to the realism, making you feel like you’re part of a major racing event.
Customization and Settings
The game offers a wide range of customization options, from car setups to racing HUD displays, letting you fine-tune your experience to match your skill level. For those who like to tweak their car setups, ACC provides an in-depth garage that allows you to adjust every aspect of the car's performance. The sheer depth of options is something that true sim racers will appreciate.
Conclusion and Final Thoughts
Assetto Corsa Competizione is the ultimate GT3 racing simulator. Its attention to detail, realistic physics, and stunning graphics make it the most immersive racing game you can play. While the difficulty can be daunting at times, the satisfaction of mastering a track and improving lap times is incredibly rewarding. If you’re a fan of GT racing, or if you’ve been searching for a true-to-life racing simulator, ACC is a must-have. It’s challenging, rewarding, and offers a depth of gameplay that will keep you coming back for more.
A pretty good sim if GT3 is your thing and NOTHING ELSE. Does not hold up to Le Man Ultimate or iRacing in content or physics (braking specifically). All competitive races/leagues are through a third party website you will have to seek out on your own.
its pretty fun and works good with a racing sim best one so far! no h shifter support though
VR is quite bad if you don't have a big power house because you need to push res really, really high to get a clear image.
AI drives on rails, so its good enough but not great.
Everything else is really awesome.
Stable and polished game runs stable online with excellent racing.
ACC is fully focused on GT racing, with GT3 as its main series (alongside GT4, Porsche Cup, and more as DLC). And it does this brilliantly. It offers almost every modern GT3 car that has raced in the last decade, with physics and handling that are arguably the best for GT cars in all of sim racing.
The track selection is solid, featuring a wide variety from the GT World Challenge series. However, some circuits still use older layouts, like Zandvoort and Spa.
Graphically, I think the game looks great at first glance, but it has some noticeable issues, ghosting and artifacting can make the image look blurry, especially in replays. That said, the sound design is unmatched. The raw, mechanical brutality of hearing the entire car rattle over curbs, combined with the deep roar of the engines, never gets old. No other racing game does sound as well as ACC.
Multiplayer is alright, but it’s mostly held up by external organizations like LFM. For singleplayer (which is what I play the most), it’s fantastic. The ability to set up races exactly how you want is great, but my favorite feature? Saving mid-race during long endurance events. Being able to pause an hours-long race and continue the next day is something every sim needs.
Even though ACC is getting older now, it’s still one of the best GT-focused sim racing games out there.
One of the benchmarks when it comes to sim realism, the graphics are crazy good and the handling models feel legit. Just a pity it's only really got GT3/4 cars.
How to achieve inner peace:
- Practice mode
- Spa-Francorchamps, 8/9 pm
- Any glichery or nismo.exe songs playing in the background
- Enjoy endless driving
the best of the best so far. Takes some time to get used to it, but once you get how it works, this is a must have...
so far i enjoy this game, even though i use mouse and keyboard, the control of the car i can still enjoy it with some driving assist
it's fixed and very polished now, I still need to try multiplayer but singleplayer is very good. BTW Forza Motorsport is terrible compared to this in every single way
The definitive endurance racing sim. Period.
Recommended. Excellent physics. It does need a powerful graphics card currently. Hopefully things will become more efficient so we can all push the quality of our experience.
This game can be summed up in a few words.... It's an amazing game with great racing and good feeling physics. But it's also a test of Human empathy for doing what's right (Racing etiquette)... No one takes responsibility for their actions and when they "Get spun" (Turning down into your line 95% of the time) that it's always your fault and not theirs. Other than that the Leagues and community is top notch and more than willing to help explain things.
this game is terrible. my logitech g920 has no force feed back. runs bad. want to play with friends, too bad no way to have your own lobby in core game. dont buy this.
I don't know anything about GT Racing. Well, I know a little bit now.
Not much actual sim racing experience, I'm basically coming from Forza Horizon lol.
Jumped on for a quick few laps and then its 4 hours later and I'm still trying to beat my personal best.
10/10 this sim is a vibe.
good grapics and i had fun playing that 1 thing i want this game to have voice chat
cool if u like gt racing. i got poop brain and constantly need burnouts and drifting so i'm buns at this game. 8/10
i tried to like this game and hoped it could replace iPacing but the AI is terrible, the spotter is terrible and although i didn't even try it i guess the multiplayer is also terrible... (unless you join a league but vanilla is full of trolls and cheaters that the company does nothing about -- you can watch them in all their glory on youTube)
like most game companies this one doesn't seem to want to fix anything that is broken... like the spotter or AI or their online shenanigans... instead they just want to put out car and track pack DLC and increase graphics which is evident with this title and their newest venture the Gran Turismo clone thing that i will also pass on and i guess just stick with iRenting... it's not great but it's way better than this
I didn't like this game as much as the original AC (with mods). But after I got my 488 wheel and load cell pedals, it transformed the game. The FFB is so nice, even on my T300RS base. Now that I have the 488 wheel, it's opened up a lot of in-car tuning options like TC2, engine map, and ABS settings, that I used to ignore. It's made the cars much more interactive. Again, the force feedback is so subtle in places, it's weird in VR. Also, the setting VR High works really well for me with a 2080 ti and Valve Index. I could probably up the graphics even more with some more experimentation. Overall, this game is awesome with all of the DLC. I do wish you could do a few more immersive things like opening the doors, hood and trunk while on track. But the better headlights and in-car animations make up for that. I do miss the F5 camera for ease of use. But the F7 camera is OK once you look up all of the keys you need to memorize on how to use it. Overall, this is a great game with great graphics for VR.
While I don't have a lot of hours on this game to give it a proper review I'll still try anyway. ACC is a great game for GT style cars only, nothing else. If that's all you need in a sim than buy this sim. While its a great game at replicating GT3 cars it has its flaws. The major one being the community on open lobbies. It takes ages to get a proper safety rating in this sim cause no one knows how to drive in public lobbies. Trying to get over 80 SA to join LFM felt like a task in itself so I would recommend finding someone to grind SA with. Second flaw is the set up's in this game. It feel almost next to impossible to learn for setups for new drivers as ACC doesn't give you a proper guide on how. Most people end up spending money on GO setups anyway which is fine but I feel like the setup's should have a tutorial or something. Finally, this could be me, but the game feels weird. This could be a skill issue, but I can never get the car to rotate with trail braking (This could also be a setup issue). Other than those flaws this is one of the best sims rn as it has one of the most accurate GT cars out of any sim. That's pretty much it, if you're only interested in GT3's or GT4's, this is the best sim title for that, but if you want something else like LMDH, you're better off getting LMU or taking out a second mortgage for iRacing.
I'm an Assetto Corsa veteran but never had the motivation to buy ACC cause Im not really into GT3's. Well I did buy it and first impressions are very positive. Amazing attention to detail, kinda reminds me the old Crammond GP series. Handling feels nice, comparing to Automobilista 2 GT3's the cars feel heavier, sturdier and "easier" to drive, but for some reason I'm a couple of seconds slower here, even though in AM2 the car is a lot more on the edge. I made this comparison at Brands Hatch with the Mclaren. I have to try with different combinations.
cannot download this game. it worked for a few weeks and now say disc error tried downloading it a few times but it keeps faulting to disc error. any suggestions??
Nice game. Loads of fun. Writing this review because Steam nags the crap out of me if I don't
If you are looking for realistic track racing with a ranking system that requires a lot of grinding this is the ultimate pick. I bought this game after playing another racing game and getting back into the genre and this title is so good it ruined the other racing games I have lol.
As someone who’s spent a decent amount of time with the Gran Turismo series, I have to say that Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) has completely won me over as my favorite racing game of all time. ACC takes the racing sim experience to a whole new level by focusing on realism, making it feel like a true step closer to real racing.
The online experience is where the game truly shines. The competitive multiplayer is structured around a robust ranking system, where your skill and safety are both measured, ensuring that races stay fair and clean. The penalty system is strict but fair, encouraging players to race with discipline and precision rather than just smashing through corners recklessly. It’s refreshing to see a racing sim that rewards clean, calculated driving rather than arcade-style chaos.
Compared to Gran Turismo, ACC feels more immersive and challenging in all the right ways. From the handling of the cars to the dynamic weather conditions, every aspect of the game pushes you to adapt and improve your driving technique. The physics engine is top-notch, and every turn, every bump in the track feels like it affects your car in a meaningful way. You can’t just rely on muscle memory; you have to react to the track and conditions like a real driver would.
The game’s attention to detail is incredible, and the atmosphere during races is intense. The sound design, visuals, and sense of speed all come together to make you feel like you’re genuinely behind the wheel of a high-performance GT car. The variety of circuits and cars keeps the experience fresh, and learning the nuances of each track and vehicle is a rewarding challenge.
If you’re a fan of realistic racing sims and enjoy the competitive nature of online play, Assetto Corsa Competizione is a must-have. The combination of realism, penalties, rankings, and pure driving pleasure makes this game stand out from other titles. For me, this is the pinnacle of racing games, and it’s clear that the developers have poured their passion for motorsport into every aspect of the game.
It’s truly the best racing experience I’ve had, and I can’t recommend it enough.
had a 20 minute race with some mates and was screaming the whole time, cant go one corner without being thunderfucked and its amazing
Requires some driver skills + you need to buy dlcs to fully embrace this masterpiece
foot down to the medal with your wheel ready to go the game inspires you to go faster and faster its a rush the game looks great I am loving it tio the max
very hard to get good vr settings but once you do its actually a really good sim
Really good simulator. Spend hours and hours making laptimes, an competing online. Superfun an realistic.
[#ACC ,AMS2 (IMSA particularly) and AC ( Angeles Crest Highway mod, intial D maps, and little bit of drifting) are my 3 top favorite sim racing. I am a casual sim racer. No competitive online racing leagues like I use too. I am just too busy with work, family, church involvement and other hobbies. #ACC provides that itch when I need it. Buy it and experience one of the best gt3 platforms out there.
I'm not your typical target audience here... or I was not when I started. I play on an Xbox controller, no assists. Google "trail braking", pick a favorite car, most scenic course, preferentially sunset time 17-18:00 and just ride. I lose hours just driving in this game. It makes cars (911 specifically) feel super powerful and it's just pure bliss. I'm getting a wheel for it and a proper setup. Gameplay 10/10, Graphics 8.5/10 only because of some pop up, otherwise a tenner, Sound is fucking EPIC here! Seriously, it feels like no other racer before. I gave up Gran Turismo 7 for this... but on PC maxed out with DLSS in 4k 60fps on a 3070ti Razerblade
Race Simulator delivers a thrilling, immersive racing experience with realistic physics, stunning visuals, and dynamic tracks. The precision controls and variety of cars make every race feel authentic. A must-play for racing enthusiasts!
Rating: 8,5/10
Very good game, almost perfect, this is the best GT3 game and probably will never be beaten !!!
Jogo muito bom em todos os aspectos, gráficos, simulação, fidelidade, sons de tudo, unico problema é quem fica entre a cadeira e o monitor, apenas.
Fun race sim to play, TBH my only negative is the dumb online races, there is a ton of people driving like mario kart, once you get the LFM license is a new game
Fun game!
Good fun with a proper wheel. VR is cool also
i really enjoy ACC. such a fun and refined game. i am no expert racer. I am a novice in racing IRL and in game. but I will say you get plenty of feed back from tires losing grip to car rotation and so much more. i play this game a ton and so far I haven't played a simulator as fun as this.
Whether you'll enjoy this game or not comes down to a very simple question. Do you like GT3 sim-racing?
If not, skip this game, because that's pretty much it's entire focus. They have GT4 and GT2 now, but GT3 is what the game is built around.
If you do, there's no better GT3 sim on the market, not even close. The work they've done on physics, FFB, graphics, and sounds has created the most realistic GT3 simulator, period. The only downside is that the online multiplayer systems aren't as well-designed (or as populated) as iRacing, so if you want good high-quality multiplayer races you'll want to join a community league.
ACC has done justice to the GT3 category. There's simply so much thought and effort put in to replicate the authentic experience, may it be audio design, track feel or car handling. I simply love the way that the GT3 car handles in ACC and no other games comes close to this physics. Immersive. Enjoyable. Unique.
ACC is not built for controllers and that's a bummer. Despite changing configs, controller play feels off, sudden, and not smooth.
Shadowing its excellence in core gameplay is the intense lack of systems that guides you or rewards you between races. Career mode doesn't have a leaderboard and this lack of a meta system really reduces the joy between intense sessions.
Despite this, strongly recommended if you enjoy driving GT3 cars. This is the pinnacle of GT3 simulation
Had Assetto Corsa before this and definitely a jump from that only have 10 hours in it but such a good game for sim racing
My first sim racing experience at first it was tough now I have improved a bit. Have been practising with AI through which I have learned a lot it needs time and practice to improve in this game. It is fun though.
I'm a controller player, and previously my only option was Forza motorsport and the controller steering in that game is the most awful thing I have ever experienced, randomly locking your steering input at like 5° forcing you off track, inconsistent and super snappy counter steering etc
This game however, gives you the ability to customize alot and gives you full control of your car with a controller albeit higher effort and difficulty. With some time and persistence however, once you get a hang of it, makes for a super satisfying in depth GT3/GT2/GT4/TC racing experience
Playing Forza I'm constantly questioning wether I made a mistake or if the game is just not working
Playing this game I can actually tell that I made a mistake so I can improve instead of wasting my energy and sanity fighting my trust in the game reliability
I can't stand Unreal Engine's graphics, this TAA crap. It seems this game can only look good on 1440p and 4k, in 1080p not even with the resolution scale at 110% it looks crisp and native. The anti aliasing only has FXAA (and a poor one, other game have faaar better FXAA), TAA and KTAA.
The rest of the game is kinda good, but holy jesus, does my eyes burn in disgust playing this.
