Minimalstic VR jigsaw puzzle in 3D space with 90 different levels and difficulty that goes up from super easy to insanely high. Block interactions are very smooth and satisfying.
I've only finished Hard and below difficulty levels in 4/5 hours, Expert and Master are too tough for me and might require way more time to solve.
Works on Reverb G2 with native OpenXR support
The most positive gaming experience I've had in a long time, a game that gives you time to think without hints shoved in your face. amazing
Well built 3D puzzler. Nothing fancy, just the blocks ma'am.
I've purchased this game 4 times once on quest, once on steam and then gifts for others. I want to start a religion for cubism. TL:DR buy it, prey to Thomas when you get stuck, take a break and return. you've spent £8 on less i'm pretty sure
I like the puzzles and have now completed season 2. Progression is at a good pace and harder puzzle can be both because of wierdly shaped pieces and the amout of pieces you need to fit.
Good, but you need to have brain.
I heard it's a rare thing to have nowadays.
I did enjoy this, and I recommend it (with a caveat). I also refunded it.
It isn't a logic puzzle game, which is the kind of puzzle game I enjoy, but a "trial and error" game that gets quite frustrating. If you like tetris/shape puzzle games, you'll love this. The music, atmosphere and visuals are great. If like me you prefer a bit more Portal, you might not like it.
Beautiful puzzle game!
It's so calming yet mentally stimulating - a VR must buy at full price
Great puzzle game, really tests my spacial reasoning skills--especially the harder levels. Nice zen experience to get my brain started in the morning.
I did run into a bug that blocked me playing the game for a while, but the Dev team was able to help me troubleshoot it, which was awesome! <3
Very simple game with simple graphics. Easy to play, but can be challenging. It's relaxing and fun, with nice music.
It would be cool if there was some kind of VR environment rather than a blank white space. Maybe it would be fun if you're solving these puzzles on a mountaintop or a roller coaster or something. Hopefully in a sequel. Good game, I'm glad I bought it.
Things I like about this game:
- Re-adjusting the view on settings
- Dark mode option
- Floor grid option
- Simple design aesthetic
- Nice classical instrumentals
- Mind-bending puzzles
Difficulties: (Easy -> Normal -> Hard -> Expert -> Master)
I would say at Expert difficulty and above is when time starts to really rack up on this game.
Things I don't like:
- When down to the last piece of the puzzle (even if it is wrong) the music will stop and there will be silence. It adds some tension but I personally am not a fan of it, I like hearing the music play even when I am down to one piece.
Other than that, I think this game is really good and worth picking up especially if one is a puzzle fanatic.
Fantastic game, great amount of levels for the price and the harder levels feel sooo satisfying when you finally complete them
I played a lot of this kind of games offline like the flat Tangram. I like the simple mechanics and hope to solve all puzzles to listen to the full song.
Cubism is a stellar little puzzle game. The art design and UI is minimalist and easy to look at. I prefer using the dark mode, which is a nice addition. There are ten categories of puzzle, each with six puzzles of increasing difficulty; a total of 60 puzzles, which is a good deal for $10. The expert puzzles are very challenging and require planning and critical assessment to complete, but finally discovering the solution feels really gratifying. Once the puzzles become asymmetrical, the difficulty skyrockets. Even when I'm not playing, I find myself thinking about how the pieces fit together in puzzles I have yet to complete, because the solutions often require creative use of the pieces. It would be awesome to see additional puzzle packs released. For a great VR puzzle game at a fair price, Cubism is easy to recommend to anyone who enjoys brain-teasing puzzle games.

I first played Cubism as a demo a few years ago (When it was supposed to be released 'Next year') and I loved everything about it. I powered through all the demo's puzzles in one sitting, even though some of them took a while. I'm so glad the full version is finally out, with a much much larger selection of puzzles!
The game features a clean visual style, very positive-feeling VR interactions, and a good range of difficulty in the puzzles.
Progression isn't strictly linear; each level has puzzles of different difficulty ratings, but you only need to complete a certain number to unlock the next level, so you can come back later to tackle the harder ones.
As the level increases, so does the block count and overall complexity of the puzzles, whereas the difficulty determines how cleverly you have to arrange the blocks to make them fit. For example, easier puzzles might have multiple solutions because the blocks are more uniform, but harder puzzles feature more oddly-shaped blocks that can only fit in a specific way. It's a very balanced approach, and keeps the puzzles fun and challenging throughout. ⚖
Sometimes the harder puzzles can really confound you for a while...but that only makes the eventual dopamine hit from solving it that much sweeter. 😉
If you like these sorts of block puzzles, definitely check this out. 👍👍
Pretty relaxing, nice while watching a movie in VR.
With the newly added volume 2 the playtime is pretty much doubled. Definitely a great buy for anyone interested in spatial puzzles.
Not much to say about this game. It's the perfect minimalist shape puzzle!
I love it and I would recommend this to anyone who's looking for a brain workout on a lazy afternoon.
The music is soothing, the puzzles are great, the controls are smooth and intuitive.
Some of the levels will seem trivial at first, but be ready for out-of the box thinking!
I heard about this game through a brief mention on a video game podcast and picked it up because it fit both my aesthetic tastes and was what I needed. It's stuff like this where I can sit on the floor, chill in a happy space, and just solve puzzles that really drive home to me how awesome VR can be. It's been my go-to after a stressful day. So many games want you to travel miles to find an adventure, but this game? The adventure is in the backyard that is the carpet of my room.
Oh, and that long silence broken my piano melodies is really just the icing on the cake.
A enjoyable VR puzzle game that has you slapping blocks together like your back in kindergarten. I've thrown 7 hours into this game so far and I have to say it was a really enjoyable experience.
The game is definitely worth the ten dollars, and the difficulty curve will keep you on your toes especially in the later levels of the game.
10/10 from me.
I played this a few years ago when it was just a demo, and I'm so happy to see it finally release. It's a super chill time with some puzzles that'll help take your mind off things. It's one of those games where everything just works the way you'd expect it to, and I can't say enough good things about it. Highly recommended if you like physical/spacial puzzles.
I like it! simple but polished, nice ambiance, couple of the early puzzles already had my scratching my head a bit.
