- Championship mode: Race against human or CPU opponents to enter random letters the fastest. Fill up your hype meter first to win!
- Tournament mode: GMG!AE features its own single-player campaign using Championship mode's rules - enter the big tournament and face off against the best cheerleaders in the world, all from the comfort of your home. (This mode is automatically selected if you play Championship mode with one player.)
- Survival mode: Cheerleading is a demanding sport, even via telegraph. Enter an endless set of letters, but make too many mistakes, and you're out!
- Pep Rally mode: New to Arcade Edition, in this co-op mode, your squad has a set number of rounds to fill a shared hype meter. Will you hype up the crowd, or make them fall asleep?
- Each mode has customizable rules that allow you to adjust the length and difficulty of matches. Players can also customize their appearance by unlocking new looks - accessorize, change your uniform, or show your spirit as different characters such as the Fighting Scootsies' mascot, the airhorn-obsessed cheer pup DJ POM³, or world-renowned telegraph prodigy Morse Playing Chicken.
Go Morse Go! Arcade Edition's four difficulty levels ensure fun for all, regardless of your prior Morse code experience. Beginners can enter at the J.V. level, in which Samantha tells you the exact dots-and-dashes translation, and learn Morse code along the way (like I did while making this game). Seasoned telegraph veterans can ramp the difficulty all the way up to Remorseless, a lightning-fast test of your Morse code knowledge - there are also calibration tools available to set the Morse timing to match their own personal speed and play the game at their own pace.
Get hyped!

Initially the audio worked fine but then the today it just completely died, audio works completely fine on the PC just this application suddenly no longer produces audio which defeats the point of this game completely.
Not sure what can be done to rectify the issue. otherwise a very fun morse game but cannot recommend with the audio no longer working.
Learn morse code, who knows? It may save your life.
Go Morse Go! Arcade Edition is a very mediocre local multiplayer rhythm/QTE game with a terrible theme... morse code. That's right, move over Guitar Hero, now we're doing dots and dashes. So for each player (haha, nobody actually plays this), it's just a one button game. Press for a dot, hold for a dash. When the game starts you'll be prompted with letters and you have to tap them out in morse code. That's all there is to it. Excitement, huh? What's next, a game where someone will say something, and you have to type what they say on your keyboard??? If this seems like fun for you, then I have a great way to save money, because you'll get as much enjoyment from finding a wall that's been painted, and watching it to see if the dry paint gets any drier.
From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result.
There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision.
The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
Go Morse Go! Arcade Edition didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for winning a "pep rally" match, trivial to get, but less than 21 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game.
The poor quality of this game is also reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 6 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
Go Morse Go! Arcade Edition is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
Pros: Morse code and has bun
Cons: None
Love the game for the theme and the levels of play. It's not a confusing mess like other Morse code games.
I like it because it is fun, entertaining, and it is practical. I can use my CW Key, connected in parallel of my left mouse button, and this becomes a really good practice/tutoring tool.
Note: I have not had a chance to try the multiplayer portion, mainly because my wife thinks that one NERD in the house is enough. :D
Final Thought:
Get it, you will enjoy it.
Wonderful game for learning Morse code. I had never really felt a need to do so before this game, even when presented with morse code, I'd just be like "ahh yknow just throw it on an online converter i know morse code when i see it and i dont have any need to interpret it myself" but like. this games making me enjoy memorizing morse code. also it has bunnies so cool. very good game for 2 dollars to help teach you morse code.
A fun and challenging morse code trainer and game.
You can play local multiplayer cooperatively or competitively.
I Highly recommend it.
Helped me memorize the morse code so well that I passed my exams with flying colors.
Very effective way to learn morse with bunnies 10/10
i'm addicted to this game please help me
Great, love it!
Set to survival mode, set number of mistakes to 4, set difficulty to varsity.
This is a good way to start learning morse code in my opinion. You will either do it by memory or are forced to look at the guide, but the guide will eventually remove to previews one by one so you will be forced to do it by memory.
Practice makes perfect.
Really good if you're interested in learning or practising typing Morse code. Encourages you to get better at it within the structure of a competitive game. Look at cute bunnies while learning real-world skills.
It won't help much if you want to practise deciphering/listening to Morse code, however.
Don't forget to maintain your skills by getting at least 100 rounds in remorseless practise mode every month :)
I love the art and music and charm of the characters. I also like how you can just jump in and play. I also like the educational aspect because I was making mistakes out of pure haste and I was learning at the same time. Doing that made the game that much more enjoyable. The music is wonderful and I'm bobbing my head along often. Sometimes I just play to hear what comes next and it ramps up nicely when you want to dig into a little competitive spirit. Great presentation- everything flows quickly, the menus aren't cluttered and explanations are lighting quick which is what games SHOULD be more like because tutorials are BORING!
Really tough to recommend this. Its only $2, but there is just so little in the game. A few unlockable costumes and a few gamemodes, thats it. The things that pushed me towards recommending it are:
-Good amount of difficulty settings make it more approachable as a short party game for your friends. Can actually end up being an enjoyable(albeit probably not the best) way to learn morse code if you start getting competitive with your friends.
-Plays very well with the new Steam Remote Play feature for online multiplayer. Its pixel art style and simple inputs makes it easy to stream; could probably host a 4 player match online even on low bandwith connections.
I still open this game from time to time to brush up on my morse. Maybe I'm just a sucker for the cutesy art style. I can safely say its worth the $2 if you are the kind of person who likes to pull up random/new games when you have friends over.
it's got cute rabbits with several cute costumes, making it a great tool for learning.
It's barebones basic though. There's no listening mode, nor are you ever asked to input words. Just reciting single alphabetic letters one at a time.
"Go Morse Go!" is an addictive little mini-game that has you typing letters in Morse code as quickly as possible.
The game has a unique visual style and a cartoony vibe that I quite enjoy. There are multiple game modes (Tournament, Survival, Pep rally) and multiple difficulties/options. You unlock new outfits and characters by playing the game.
What really interested me is that it really encourages you to learn Morse code. It's plain simple, the better your grasp on Morse, the better you'll be at this game. On lower difficulties, the game tells you exactly what to press, while higher difficulties will have you looking up the letter on a Morse chart on the side of the screen. If you think you're tough enough, the hardest difficulty will not display the chart at all.
One thing I really enjoyed while playing Survival Mode on the second to hardest difficulty was that random letters would get removed from the Morse chart as you progress farther, inciting you to learn Morse to get a good score.
Edit: I originally couldn't recommend this game due to a broken achievement, but the developer has since released an update which fixed it. I can now wholeheartedly recommend this game.
I've never had so much fun learning to type with friends before getting this game.
This is one of the better edutainment titles that I own, and one of the better competeitve typing games as well. It has a very different tone when compared to "Western Press," another competetive typing game. The gameplay is also very different.
Great price, fun multiplayer, terrific presentation. A++ would accidentally learn morse code while laughing again.
Fun, educational, cheap and really cute. Highly recommended!
