Warfare 1944 is a stylized tactical shooter featuring infantry combat, large scale environments, and dynamically changing objectives that encourage teamwork and coordination. Warfare 1944 focuses on tactical gameplay. Bullets are deadly, one shot can kill. Team communication is essential and Warfare 1944 features robust proximity voice communication which allows you to communicate with your fellow soldiers alongside you.
Wield a wide variety of weapons and equipment while you attempt surviving the chaos of war. Rally your friends to your team, and fight in massive battles across vast open landscapes. Keep your wits, and defeat your enemies. Warfare is unforgiving.
Warfare 1944 is inspired by a number games we adore. Our art style is inspired by the gorgeous tactical shooter Due Process. ⁽ˡᶦⁿᵏ⁾ Mission objectives and team-play mechanics are similar to the visceral tactical shooter Squad. ⁽ˡᶦⁿᵏ⁾ Weapon handling is similar to the iconic Red Orchestra series. ⁽ˡᶦⁿᵏ⁾ Lastly, our maps are all deeply influenced by the legendary Battlefield 1942.
Our mission is to create an epic, tactical, large scale, spiritual successor to classic World War II tactical shooters`. We also enjoy single-player games such as Ravenfield ⁽ˡᶦⁿᵏ⁾ and are focusing on creating a robust single-player experience in future updates.
Warfare 1944 is built by Microprose Software on top of the OHDCore framework for Unreal Engine 4. This framework is used by Drakeling Labs to build games for the Drakeling Labs community, including free games such as Operation: Harsh Doorstop.

Don't ever buy this. It began with so many promises and looked like it was going to be great, but it has been abandoned. Money I will never get back.
i knew it wasn't advertised as anything big but holy shit i waited for 2 years to give this the benefit of the doubt you could have at least added bots before you abandoned it
Game is abandoned, it was technically abandoned from the start.
Doubt Operation Harsh Doorstop will be good either. Just go ahead and avoid games from Drakeling labs unless you want to play games in dev hell.

The game is functional, if uninspired and, for all practical concerns, is dead.
Save yourself the 8€, and just play Forgotten Hope 2; which actually has a (semi) active multiplayer community and a functioning singleplayer mode... plus it is free.
Game is fine, but no player base whatsoever. Devs said bots will be added but now they've abandoned this game for another one. Worst community management I have ever seen.

Cash is clearly going to something else like operation harsh doorstep. Be weary of anything bluedrake sells or advertises that is of this developers creation. pretty much abandonware at this point no servers or empty ones for that matter. I fear the same fate for operation harsh doorstep.
i bought this game and all the servers are empty the finances clearly go to another project of bluedrake called oparation harsh doorstop its clear the devs gave up on this and are just using this for cash. Stay away from bluedrake and his projects
2023 Edit: DO NOT buy this at all. This is in practice, abandonware and should be removed from Steam. Left a nasty salty taste in my mouth that this was abandoned before they even added bot support. Hoping OHD does well, but at this point I was done wrong by this drakeling labs team so my sentiment is negative.

Do not buy this right now, bought this almost a year ago now when they said bots were "In development" and that still hasn't come out. I'm sure this'll be a decent or good product in the future but right now I can't recommend this game.
I check back every month to see OHD updates that don't interest me at all. Bots are REQUIRED since it's only possible to play the game during community nights which I don't really care to take part in. I bought a game in Early Access knowing it could take a while, but a year of "soon" for bot support and only being able to play for 20 minutes on a multiplayer server was all I got where the game felt really jank.
Come back in a year or two and I'm confident this will be a good game, but for now avoid it unless you want to support the devs.
Game is Great but it's empty, i was so stoked to finally play something that could run on my lap top well and it does. But no one is there to enjoy it with, and no single player. I'll keep it for now but please bring single player so I can at the very least have some fun.
This game is amazing, but I don't recommend buying it now. The servers are empty, and its mostly because it is unfinished. Once the game is finished, the developers will start to try and build a playerbase. Everything aside from that is amazing, its just my type of game, and the controls are very nice, but I recommend buying after some time, just for a much better experience.
Great potential, keep this up devs. If your after a game to satisfy your thirst for a war game that gets you straight into the action. This is not it (at the time of writing). If you want to invest in the future of a great war game with great potential then this is it by a country mile.
I've played a total of two full games at the time of review, but I must say that the game is very fun and it's only at it's bare minimum. I don't mean to be a fanboy but BlueDrake is a legend and I believe in the vision that was created for both this game and OHD. The future holds great promise, but I figured I'd note some of the things I noticed, or at least I think I noticed. Don't worry I know the game is in it's earliest stages, pre-alpha in fact, but I figured I'd give some personal feedback that can hopefully help in the future. 1) I can't tell if the hit reg is off, my connection is too bad, or maybe the game just works this way, but i noticed that people take awhile to kill (like nearly five bullets) and headshots don't instant kill? like I said I'm listing things I think I noticed as well so feel free to correct me. 2) Just a small gripe here but you can't tell when you're being hit. I know they plan on adding tracers to see where the bullet originated, but that still leaves the fact that the only way to tell if you're being hit is if you see your health bar diminishing which is hard to catch at points. 3) Another small gripe. Controls like push to talk are impossible to find at the moment, personally I had to hit every button on my keyboard to find it. Maybe I'm just stupid, but for those reading this that play the game and don't know how to talk, its V. I wish the game told you in some way. 4) I know this might be an intended feature , but it'd be nice if crouching lessened the sound of your footsteps because as of right now there is no way to quiet them. As I said that may be intended, but it'd be nice for even a small dampen while crouching. 5) Finally when sprinting I noticed you can't turn and smoothly continue the sprint, instead you have to stop sprinting and then start again. I know its another small gripe which has been said way too much already, but it'd be nice if the sprint maintained during a turn as the game would be a bit smoother. I hope that this is helpful in any way to those reading and I thank you for making it this far. I know most of these are small and perhaps subjective, but it'd be nice to hear if you agree. This game is pretty good as is to be perfectly honest. Warfare 1944 is made by Bluedrake42 and his team and they are doing a fantastic job at recreating that old battlefield 1942 feel that im sure many people miss. The game right now is very basic but has more than a lot of potential. It currently only has US vs Germany but the roadmap promises much much more such as.. Russian and Japanese forces on top of the already added German And US forces and its possible there might be more factions to come!! At the moment it only has infantry combat but there are tanks and many other vehicles being worked on as we speak!! I see this game being a true sucessor to Battlefield 1942 and project reality. It might be really basic right now but i have full faith in the developers at Drakeling labs! At the moment the main reason to purchase the game is to support the devs and help them test the game so that they can make this game as good as they want it to be.
Even if the game is basic right now the devs need support. I highly recommend buying this game so you can help them test it and give feedback!! Also at the current state the game does not have many players and is an only multiplayer game.
But the devs and Bluedrake himself have stated that the game will have singleplayer and multiplayer bots in the future!!
I personally hope that the singleplayer is like the singleplayer from battlefield 1942 where it is the multiplayer maps with bots but battles in the order in witch they took place.
So far this and what they are promiseing this is going to be is what Battlefield V should have been.

the guns are good , one gripe - can the crouch get a bit lower and can hitting space uncrouch me ?
vaulting over small walls and disable zoom while reloading are probably in the pipeline as well I hope :)

Should also be said, this game is severely lacking in features.
Granted "pre-alpha", so kind of to be expected. But for $10 I was expecting a little more than to only be allowed a rifle and a grenade and that's it
I was able to join into a server with one single other person, who I killed, and they immediately quit.
Gunplay seemed okay from the literally one single time I got to experience it properly, though the lazy-aim could get removed entirely, that'd be really cool.
At any rate, this review is already far too long for how little there is to this game.
Really not worth $10
I like this game quite a lot, It's already a solid Tactical Shooter, but since its in early access a lot of things are still going to be missing. Its pretty barebones right now, but it will of course improve over the course of its development. If you're still skeptical about buying it, I'd say hold off on buying and check again in a few months (from the time this review was written)
Buying this will Support the Development of their other Free Game, Operation: Harsh Doorstop.

In conclusion, is it worth the 10$/8€?
In it's current state, I'd have to say no, but If you're willing to wait for more content and polish
coming soon to the game then its a big Yes.
The Cons I've listed are subject to change, by the time this Review is a few Weeks old or so,
they will probably already have the Suppression Mechanics and Squad Mechanics in the Game.
If you're willing to spend the Money on a Tactical Shooter that looks to have a very bright Future, seriously, go for it and buy it.

The hit registration is awful. I feel like i'm shooting blanks; it needs a sort of feedback sound or a larger blood splatter to know that i'm hitting the target. The game runs very smooth and I understand its still in development and it will get better. The game needs things like squads and vehicles. The games audio is a bit odd and the comms aren't great. When or if the game gets more players it will be a lot of fun.
This is a very early game. I bought it to support Drakling Labs & Harsh doorstop.
Lets be honest, this game is very early and has a lot of issues and room to grow. I have seen players glitching in the water, hitreg seems off, there seems to be no benefit to ADS when hip fire is spot on, just turn on the magic floating cross hair, on your gaming monitor.
What do they do right - this is a test platform for Harsh Doorstop, which will be a F2P with no micros. I gladly paid full price to support a dev team that is making games they love to play. This game does not disappoint, plenty to do here and fun to be had. Reminds me of Rising Storm 2 Vietnam in low poly. Very much a meat grinder of a game. Lets support this team and show these sleazy devs and publishers we don't need their trash.
