Had this game for two years, but came back to it recently to remote play with a buddy that loves puzzle fighters like i do. It's a fun game with an interesting balance system. combos are kinda broken, but it's not exactly easy to set off a combo. it's got a nice visual design, nice sound design, and the story is funny too. I'd say if you're into puzzle fighting games, then this is a good choice.
it's an ok game, but i just dont feel even close to hooked by the core gameplay. and there isnt really anything else that i would say is particularly good about this game
I met the developer in Toomanygames 2016. He introduced me to this game, and I instantly liked it. I thought it was a great idea, and was really amazed by the unique gameplay mechanics. I followed him on twitter to see the updates on the game, and I have to commended to following through with this project. He is just one person working on this game (I believe). So working on a game like this, especially with fixing all the bugs can be very challenging. The problem is the Marketing for this game was barely none existing, and that really hurt the life of this game. Not saying this game is dead (even though the online multiplayer is). I'm just saying that maybe he could have gave some free codes to some huge twitch influencers, and get the hype going for this game. From what I've played, I would say that I like what I see. I don't think the game is worth $14.99 but rather a solid $9.99. If the Online multiplayer was packed with 50 players readily available to challenge online (or even more) then I would say the price would totally be worth it. I would have rather the developer take out the online multiplayer and put some more modes or something different. It's been 7 months and barely any updates about the game. I think it's better to bring this game over to the Nintendo Switch, and hopefully he'll have more luck with the game over there than on steam. I recommend the game though.
This game has two great strengths about it.
1. The unique mechanics it brings to the Puzzle Fighter format make it a unique and enjoyable experience and really make you plan out your strategies.
2. The devs are on top of bug fixes, going so far as to fix a broken achievement the day before leaving for Too Many Games.
I do, however, have a minor complaint about its wild system. Teching deals damage (if minor), so if the AI ever gets a wild breaker, it ruins attempts at getting the Perfect achievement, and (as of writing this review) it's possible for you and the AI to get into an infinite loop of using supers (replaces your current piece with a wild breaker) to the point where a double KO is possible, and a double KO softlocks the game.
There aren't a lot of people who play this game, and it's a shame, as this is quite a good game. (Case and point: Far as I can tell, I'm the first person to unlock the achievement for beating Hard with an S-rank, and that jumped that achievement's global completion score from 0% to 1.3% at the time of writing this.) If you enjoyed Puzzle Fighter, or if you enjoy other active puzzle games like Puyo, I highly recommend you pick this one up.
...but maybe wait for a sale. I don't find there's quite enough replayability in the single player to justify the $15 price point, and with so few people owning the game, you'll be hard pressed to find opponents in online. But if price isn't a factor, get it. You won't regret it.
Disclosure, I did the background lighting, rendering and color. Picked this up on my own since I like competitive puzzle type games.
I really like this. It's a neat take on the puzzle genre that I want to spend more time with and could definitely see as a regular arcade setup or on something like Switch. There's more depth to clearing it over something like Super Puzzle Fighter that takes some time to get good at, but that's what's enjoyable about it. It captures that fighting game feel in that respect.
I look forward to digging more into it with other people, and I hope a player base stays with it.

Several unique fighters, various maps to play on, local and online multiplayer, what more could you ask of for?! This game is exactly as it sells itself, it's a puzzle fighter with a literal twist!
Played the early release they had set up Too Many Games a year ago and it is still as good. If you are a fan of any puzzle game try it out especailly capcoms puzzle fighter.
Ive been waiting for this game for over a year now and its really well made. i love the mechanics of spinning the blocks around. Anyone who loves puzzle games should give this a try.
Excellent arcade puzzling gameplay! Played through the Arcade Mode (aka Story Mode) on Easy quickly, but the higher difficulties really step it up for a tense challenge. Each character has a very different feel, especially in different matchups. The only con is the mechanics of sending stuff to the opponent are not super clear (if you're not familiar with Puzzle Fighter) and there is no manual, but it's not necessary to understand the details to smash some robo puzzles. Excellent graphics, excellent gameplay, buy this and fight me!
