Embark on the journey of Robbery Cold, a former soldier of the Kingdom of Thaltas, now living as a mercenary since a terrible tragedy struck his life, with his wife dying due to an incurable disease.
Unfortunately, the couple's daughter is also afflicted with such a disease, and upon this, Robbery embarks on a perilous journey in an attempt to find a cure and save the life of his daughter.
He goes on to investigate a mysterious organization that seeks a crystal with magical and mysterious properties capable of curing any human affliction, says legends and rumors.
Even knowing it is something uncertain, he grabs on this little spark of hope that can save his daughter and embarks on a dangerous journey and unknown paths.

RPG Maker strikes again!
Lonely in the Winter is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction.
This is a very badly made RPG Maker asset flip, but the "developer" (that filled out templates in RPG Maker) chose to asset flip the arctic assets in the game, and made a very short game with an arctic theme and the main character is called "Robbery Cold". Sorry, I should have put a cringe warning in front of that. So the best part about this asset flip is that it's short. Less garbage is better, right? Except, you know, there's a price tag on this garbage.
As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development.
Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. RPG Maker is an absolutely terrible construction kit, and never results in games of any reasonable quality or value to gamers.
Gamers who want a good retro JRPG experience would be better off playing the originals, like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean or Chrono Trigger.
The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 3 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
Lonely in the Winter is relatively cheap at $3 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.

Lonely in the Winter is a very short (~1 hour) RPG Maker game about a man named Robbery Cold looking for a magical crystal that can save his daughter's life. It is very goofy, and not particularly well-written (in English, at least - the author's native language is Portuguese, and it might be less typo-ridden in that language), but it's a fun short adventure.
Upsides are that it's pretty funny, and the five difficulty modes plus the rank system at the end gives it some replay value if you're looking to speedrun it or otherwise challenge yourself. Also, while it uses a lot of default art, it also has full "CGs" based on that art for dramatic or silly scenes in the story. Downsides are that it's very short and you will constantly be too poor to afford much, including the basic healing potions.
Thumbs up because it made me laugh out loud a few times, though one of those was due to a really funny bug rather than something intended to happen by the developer. This isn't a very strong recommendation, though, but mostly because the entire thing is only about an hour long.
A decent, but short, game that ends on a cliffhanger. Can be finished in an hour, and has some grammar and balance issues. Still, worth it on sale, if only to help support the dev.
Lonely in the Winter is a story about Robbery Cole who sets off to find a cure for a disease that already claimed his wife, but is now threatening to claim his daughter as well. He hears tale of a crystal in the mountains that might be the ticket to a cure, and goes after it. Problem is, he’s not the only one looking for it.
That’s pretty much the story. The only two (out of a possible five) recruitable characters I encountered in my playthrough were a child were-yeti and a wolf that was near-death. Even on easy I found the game to be unbalanced and leaned more towards the difficult side, but I was able to get through it fairly OK. The puzzles in the game were decent, except for two ‘hidden’ ones, which had very little in the way of clues for their solutions. One was a sliding puzzle of a silhouette but there wasn’t a ‘before’ image to work from. Another was a timed word puzzle, and the only thing close to a hint I could find didn’t work as the answer.
The story is quite basic, but it gets its point across. You have a few boss battles, a little bit of exploration...but then it’s suddenly over. This game is SHORT. I got it done in a little over an hour, and felt a little underwhelmed by the cliffhanger of an ending.

It is a nice RPG maker game. There are not so many battles, but the plot is really cool! The plot is "self-contained", but there is quite a big cliffhanger. I hope the developers will release the second chapter.
I got this game a little while ago, I got stuck on the snow ball down the mountain. When I returned to try again, I was delighted to find that they implemented a way to skip the mini game. I finished the game today and I turely enjoyed myself. My only grievance was the art in between the game play, But overall I really loved playing this game and hope it see more of it.
I would recommend this to a friend. 9.5/10

I bought between 15-20 games during the Summer Sale and this was perhaps the biggest surprise of them all. Nice story, nice game play, nice graphics. Currently has 10 positive reviews; deserves 100.

I love your game , the gamplay and atmostphere are very good , the music is awesome.... but I find it very sad that the game is over so quickly. Can you work on the next part of this game and make update because I want know the next to this story ...

How the main caracter save his daugther? What happened for the Yetti ? What become the main caracter and the bad caracter ? ...... I WANT KNOW THE NEXT PART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally , its good investiment value for money and the game perhaps as good as the best known game of its kind but for that you should add new evenment , new mob , new item , the next to the story , upgrate the gameplay , diversify the game , maybe add new game mod and I want say :

Lonely in the Winter is a nice RPG/adventure game using RPGMaker softwares. The storyline is quite creative and it has a funny and somehow moving aspect, with a cute touch.
The game can be completed quite quickly but you'll probably need some more playthroughs to get all the achievements. As far as my experience is concerned I struggled to get the last one ("Rank S") and finally I had to ask for help. I want to thank the indie developper/publisher (SoyeR) who anwered me on that point. For some reason I can't seem to comment on the news where the answer is, though I can read it.. :? That's why I express my thanks here.
No need to grind for hours to beat the game, but to make the gameplay lasts there are secrets to discover. No side quests per se, but some other stuffs to find and explore (not necessarily story related).
It's a nice game, providing hours of entertainment for a very cheap price. I absolutely do recommend it !
