This game is super addictive! There seems to be as many upgrades and unlockables as the Binding of Isaac, which is no simple feat. The replayability is off the charts and it has a very nice difficulty curve. There are challenges for newbies as well as insane challenges for pros. The art style is charming and the music fits everything perfectly. I cannot recommend this game enough!

"The Void Rains Upon Her Heart" is a bullet-hell shoot-'em-up with roguelite elements, developed by Veyeral Games where players control the heart of an alien girl trapped in a cave, using the power of love to befriend and overcome various monsters. It feels like a fantastic practice tool for competitive online games that require precision and speed.

Gameplay: The game emphasizes boss rush mechanics, presenting players with a series of randomly selected encounters, each with unique attack patterns and difficulty levels. After each battle, players receive random gifts that permanently upgrade abilities for the duration of the run, introducing a strategic element of choice and adaptation. In this sense it is much like Nebulock, another title I am passionate about.

Graphics: Featuring pixel art, the game combines cute and cheerful visuals with more intense and otherworldly designs, especially evident in the final bosses. This blend creates a unique and engaging aesthetic. In few words, simple but original ​

Bosses: With over 100 bosses, each battle offers a unique experience. Bosses vary in difficulty and attack patterns, providing both challenge and variety. Players can influence the difficulty by selecting which bosses to face, tailoring their experience. I have spoken with many friends now, vouching for this sort of game, where value is given to enemy mechanics inside na arena like platform, instead of traveling through maps and levels wasting time and developer resources

Replayability: The procedurally generated nature of boss encounters, combined with a vast array of gifts and power-ups, ensures high replayability. Each run feels distinct, encouraging players to explore different strategies and combinations. ​
It is a title to fall to when you need a short stint session but still skill up

Difficulty: The game's difficulty is dynamic, allowing players to choose easier or more challenging bosses. This flexibility caters to both newcomers and seasoned players, providing a customizable experience. ​

I don't have much play time at the time of this review, but I already know this game is about to be a problem lmao. It feels so good to play, and the amount of content is unreal. This game is a passion project, made by a single developer with an amazing story. I did not think I would connect with the story, and these weird creatures but here we are lol. Honestly, this game is probably one of the best bullet hell games I've played, and there is so much content I haven't even began to see yet. I cannot wait to continue playing, I can't stop thinking about love! And I can't express how much care and thought went into the designs of the game, like the bosses having lore and extra secrets to discover and connect with on a deeper level than just, ooo kill boss, it makes you actually start to care about the monster's you're fighting and connecting on a meta level. It is good, just play the game already.

Typically not a huge fan of bullet hell's but I've found myself enjoying this game quite a bit. Love the aesthetic, love the style, love the music

Fun and addictive.

Gotta love the music of this game, and the way I have to focus and space out at the same time to play effectively feels like my brain is getting a massage with a happy ending.

This is a side scrolling shoot em up. It's got a fantastic soundtrack and a story that's interesting enough to keep you playing for the most part. The gameplay itself is solid. There's roguelite elements as you obtain different power ups per playthrough. This I honestly think is worth a try. A lot of people love it, even if I don't.

Happened upon this game via one of its OST songs winding up on my Youtube recommended and instantly fell in love. From just the wonderful music and interesting motifs, I knew this would be good — and it did not disappoint! You can really tell that a lot of care and joy have been put into this game overall, considering its (one again) great music, powerful themes, captivating art, intuitive mechanics & organization, good humor, and air of mystery. I do still have quite a bit more to do in this game, but it really is great thus far.
I strongly recommend this game for anyone who grew up enjoying games like Space Invaders (and space invader-esque games) and other bullet hell/shooter games, as well as a game that has mild meta/self-aware aspects to itself (even if this one isn't going to start altering your desktop like IMSCARED). While there is an easy mode for this game, I still wouldn't recommend this one to a player with zero familiarity with bullet hell, though — it's still a decently difficult game (but very doable) and incoming players should not only expect but be motivated by the challenge. This game cannot teach you enemy bullet dodging reflexes/instincts nor pattern analysis on its own. Regardless, it's a very great second or third game to play in this genre, and Metroidvanias such as Hollow Knight have enough focus on rapid combat to help facilitate the introduction to this genre.

Once again, though, this truly is a beautiful game! I happily await further updates and truly, truly commend the developer, Veyeral Games, for their efforts — ¡you should really be proud of what you've accomplished, and all by yourself, too! And I really appreciate a game that focuses on Loving Thy Neighbor, even if they themself do not yet understand what it means to Love.

One of my most favorite bullet hells! Action roguelike bullet hell is very well made. This game has soo much content and is still updating and in early access. Can't recommend enough

Did you upgrade the game to make it harder? I'm pretty sure roundsaw used to give a longer grace period before dropping the combo, AND I sure have been having a harder time of it recently. Admittedly, I am mentally ill, so, maybe you didn't, but if you did, NOT COOL! NOT OKAY!!! even with that massive complaint, even if it's true, this game is still absolutely fantastic. I love you.

Absolutely overflowing with indie studio passion. Every boss has a unique fight, as well as most bosses having a special event tied to it if you beat it in a run. With an amount of achievements higher than even the binding of isaac, the game offers alot of replayability. Its still being worked on, so alot of features are still missing, but even then the game is absolutely worth its price.

TVRUHH is a massive bullet hell shoot em up about spreading love and friendship everywhere (Sounds familiar to a certain show...). That is also the charm of the game for instead of the main objective being violence, its about love which I prefer.
This game also features stunning visuals and a soundtrack that will become an earworm (a Sandrone if you will). The character are also all amazing, my favourite is probably the Defect. However, I do need to unlock all the characters!
In addition, this game has so much god damn content. I've played for 25 hours and I've only just gotten a quarter of the content done. This is a truly impressive amount of content.

However, one criticism I can give is that the game is rough at the beginning. As in the beginning, you won't know anything - all monsters and gifts are unknown. You also can only play as the first character until you heartbreak 5 times which will take a short while.

Overall, I would rate this game a 10/10!

I don't really talk about this game enough for how much I actually enjoy it. When I mention my favorite games, I usually say the ones everyone knows, but if I made an actual list, THIS GAME is on there, no question. The style in this game is immaculate, like Kirby Meets Evangelion Meets Oneshot. The gameplay is a traditional bullet hell, but always fun to play, every fight feels unique thanks to the monster level system. The several different game modes will leave you NEVER feeling bored, that plus the fact that this game has more unlocks than fucking ISAAC, should tell you plenty about the replayability of this game. Oh and at the time of writing this, it's not even done yet!!! This shit is peak fiction!!! And it's so cheap!!!! Please pick it up!!! It needs WAY more recognition!!!!

Unfortunately not challenging enough, even on the hardest difficulty. Ships in general feel really boring to control. I like the panic attack mechanic and all of the bonuses for breaking things, but the upgrades you get for doing so feel inane and often useless. The main attack of each ship gives no variety, the only interesting thing is the charge shot which is saying something. The writing is also not a strong point, lots of very annoying characters.
Only grab if you're the kind of person who loves TBOI style unlock grinding, and find classic shmup offerings too difficult.

If you like boss fight game and you are a completionist you will love this game. With 24 hours already, i only have 32 % of the 738 achivements currently in the game. I was not really into roguelike to begin with but this one stuck with me and the others game mode like quickplay let you customize your battle with every boss to master each of the 100's of boss. I guess getting all the achivement will requires grind and i will most likely never get all of them since it does requires a lot of replay but overall i would reccomend.

Rivals Binding of Issac in the amount of content this game provides, and its still in EA. Hands down belongs in the conversation for one of the best roguelites around. Get it now.

hell yeah

No other bullet-hell rogue-like is truly different and set by difficulty and tests your skills over the luck of your items. The feelings of despair, blended at the same time with love sets a pretty, uplifting narrative about loving monsters and showing them a better perspective. You control a "Heart" which is where you reside and fire your hearts out to the unfathomable amount of bosses, each with their own weakness, and mini challenges which come out as achievements. The patterns are frantic and defeating each one brings a sense of relief, accomplishment, determination to reach the end of each run. Since its also being actively updated, there is still so much more to expect within this already massive game. Character story lines, bosses, items, and game modes will continue to come out. And an incredible amount of love and respect to the singular developer and creator of the game. This is so fun to play, heart lifting to observe, and just a beauty to experience.

This game has some of the most replay-ability I've ever seen in a game before. There's so much to do in it that its just constant gain even if you fail a run. With it over 700 achievements in game it allows you to play differently almost every single run and continue to gain access to more stuff the more you play. I've hardly reached 10% of a save and I'm already in love with this game. Definitely recommend this game to those out there that enjoy rougelite bullet hells.

I fear the man who can play this game with a glass buttplug.

This is my first time reviewing and I'm usually not keen on giving reviews but for this game I always find myself coming back to it and for good reason. It has so much content and such good game play I recommend it to anyone who enjoys this type of game or is looking to try a game like this

I am only a few hours in but I can tell this is my kind of game. The bullet dodging reminds me of the way Isaac feels.. The fun of constant unlocks is great. Great job! The story is... different.

Don't let the early access tag fool you, This game has been receiving very frequent updates on the regular with the developers constantly pushing out patch notes. on top of that, this game has an achievements list that has begun to dwarf the binding of Isaac in terms of size, with each achievement (as far as i'm aware) unlocking something, whether it be a new monster to fight, a new event, a new item to find in your runs or even just new background music. you won't find any other early access game thats brimming with things to find like this one.

Gameplay is a pretty standard bullet hell styled game with each boss having their own types of attack patterns which change based on the level of the boss you are fighting. on top of that every boss has 2 goals you can attempt to do to unlock more things for your runs.

if you like bullet hells and roguelikes this game should 100% be on your to play list.

Great game I definitely recommend it

After 100 hrs can say this games a masterpiece no doubt about it, Theres just endless amount of things to do and always something new to discover. The skill progression is good as you can always stick with the easier battles but you also slowly start to get good at the shmup mechanics and can challenge the harder bosses. The gifts (power ups) also give leniency to those harder battles that might be over your current skill level so you have a chance at em.

Also I have to mention how amazing the characters and dialogues are. It just warms my soul when reading mcs and monsters talk and makes me wanna hug them too. The dev has also added to EVERYTHING a lil pokedex entry that you can read if you want to know more and these entries detail for example monsters personalities and insecurities. I cant wait for the version 9.0 when rest of the lore will start to be added.

Odd story and dialogue in my opinion, but the game play mechanics and content more than make up for it. Fun no matter how good you are at bullet hell's, and has an amazing solo dev working on it.

Game is absolutely fantastic and easily one of my favorite roguelites. While I don't play a lot of bullet hells, the mechanics feel really solid and tight. The game has a huge amount of unlocks and variety in runs as well. Even 60 hours in, my save file is only around 50% or so, with new content and unlocks being added every patch. The story, while incomplete, feels very personal and touching. The music slaps too.

All in all, I highly recommend this game if you are interested in either roguelites or bullet hells. Heck, you might like it even if you don't play either.
