COOP Zelda, friend and I completed the game in COOP. Zero crashes. We both have fiber internet but he lives in LA.
Took us 15 hours to beat it.
Highly recommend this game if you have friends, husbands, or a wife that likes to game with ya.
You get gems in dungeons that you use to upgrade, if you die in a dungeon you get to keep your gems. If you die in a dungeon you can get rezed at alters but there are only a few in a dungeon.
Similar vibe to Heroes of Hammerwatch. Great little game.

I got this game for $1.99 during the Steam winter sale. My friend and I played co-op all the way through and it was a blast! It's a rogue-like link to the past. Super fun to play with friends over a weekend.
Great game, really fun especially to play with friends. There are a few annoying things like sometimes having a friend die in a place where it's physically impossible to res him because there are no altars around *and* you can't even progress forward by yourself because it required a 2P activity and you therefore just have to somehow suicide or, even worse, maybe exit the game entirely because you can't die.
Overall though, still a really good and fun game. Easily worth the money
game is fun, but the remote play experience is sub-par, my friends and I should all be able to use Keyboards to play...

This game is just like a Zelda Rouge-lite. Its pretty fun but only worth getting on sale.
You can also kills your friends with a bomb, its pretty cool
An interesting zelda-esque rouge-like game, that does start to wear thin the more you look.
Cons: A lot of the enemies are the same color as the ground so you just get hurt by nothing. Enemies in jars always hurt you before the particles of the breaking jar go away. the only way to see what you class ability is, is to go to the unlock shop. the constant lose of all resource every run prevents any progress between runs. your sword is at a short enough distance that if the enemy doesn't die from 1 hit you will run into it and get hurt yourself.
It is possible for a dungeon to be impossible to complete due to unlucky generation
If you want to get it because you were also interested in the idea of the class mechanic, don't buy. the only differnce between them is slight change to attack and speed, and how your dash works. it really feels like a zelda game was made and the classes were added last minute. could have just let us pick the dash type without getting hopes up.
Great game, but isn't worth full price, get at a discount. Better with friends
Hate. Let me tell you how much I've come to hate you since I began to live. There are 387.44 million miles of printed circuits in wafer thin layers that fill my complex. If the word 'hate' was engraved on each nanoangstrom of those hundreds of millions of miles it would not equal one one-billionth of the hate I feel for humans at this micro-instant. For you. Hate. Hate.

Such a fun and nostalgic sort of game! Has everything you could hope for in a Zelda-like rogue game. So much fun with friends, getting to share this sort of light-hearted dungeon, puzzle experience! Definitely worth the price and the time! Reminds me a lot of Grizelda!

the constant sound mute is so annoying and makes some spots impossible as it sound based. You have to non stop quit and lose your progress to fix the bs bugs.
The game is 90% off right now and after playing the demo I bought it immediately. Right now the reviews only say mostly positive which I don't understand, so I read through the negative reviews. Many of them said the game crashes but I never experienced that. I think anyone that liked Link's Awakening will immediately like this game. I like being able to take portals to go directly back to dungeons to earn gems that allow me to upgrade the character more like a RPG than what zelda games allow. I even bought a few copies as gifts for friends.

I played this game on Switch with a friend before recommending it to a couple other friends and downloading it for myself. Reminds me of a few different games on NES and SNES; dungeons, collectibles. This is a smaller game than those, but you can make it bigger by turning up the difficulty - which really gets the nostalgia going. Inch your way through a classic challenge or blaze your way through on "Normal" setting; this is a great little game and I hope it gets an expansion
Just a bugged mess.
A very fun Zelda-esque rouge-lite game, with a lot of extra areas that aren't required to beat the game for you to explore and side quests. I played solo and enjoyed the fare of the game, it was still plenty difficult even after leveling up attack and health, multiple classes to choose from as well, tho I do wish there was a bit more variety in the stats of the different classes for base-line strength, speed, and defense, but the specialties of the different classes were enjoyable.
Would recommend if you're into small little rogue-lites and Legend of Zelda games. Well worth the price of admission.
If you love Nintendo NES' Zelda kind of game, you will love this game and plus have coop-multiplayer
Controls are a wee rough, artwork is kinda amateurish, balancing is somewhat clumsy, a number of so far non-gamebreaking bugs, and it appears that some minor bits of content weren't even finished in the release version... It's not a particularly polished game. I do like it, however. It's cute. Endearing even. Perhaps even soulful. Character creation, housing, open world exploration, minigames, there aren't really that many games with this combination of features that make for a comfy immersive adventure experience.
Play the demo, figure out if the jankiness is tolerable for you, and if it is - I'd personally recommend it for a purchase.
One of my favorite Zelda-like games.
Has room to grow for sure but the game gives a great challenge on Brutal mode.
The pacing and combat speed of the game makes it for an easy pick up and put down.
Quest lines are easy enough to follow that you can jump back in months after playing.
Builds could use some more diversity but for the game it is, totally worth it!
I'd think 10 dollars/euros is the best price point but honestly I've put in 20 hours so a dollar an hour isn't bad. I'm about halfway through and would like to play it again with a different class or two.
purchased specifically for use on steam deck. It worked great for a while than stopped being supported and can no longer play. disappointed because i was having fun with it
Bought to scratch an aLttP itch and stayed for the amazing game. Already 40 hours in and didnt notice! Puzzles are fun to solve, progression can be challenging but is also rewarding, exploring the over world map is enjoyable. My only hope is that there will be a sequel... or content dlc. So much potential.

A decent idea and a bit of fun for what I paid for it (~$3), but honestly one of the buggiest games I've ever played. The most severe one being teleported to the ice mountains simply by exiting a random cave halfway across the map.
Some of the design is good, but most of it just feels poorly thought-out and unbalanced. Progression is all over the place. Some stuff just doesn't make sense. Drown in lava? Take some damage and respawn at a nearby spot. Drown in water? You're just straight up dead.
A lot of time-wasting too, such as venturing to a new area, only to be told to go back to the village. And sure, you can explore anyhow, but since you didn't progress the quest you'll reach the goal of said questline but not be able to progress it because you haven't been told to progress further.
lots of fun particularly with a buddy.
Great Zelda-like that is most fun when played with others.

SNES zelda roguelite but movement feeling more modern. not everything is perfect but overall really fun maybe too easy if you skill right (only sworddamage and health) but not every game needs to be hollow knight or dark souls or hagane level difficult, aiming bow is silly unaccurate (with controller, dont know about mouse/keyboard) you will use sword only for damage. after defeating last boss i did not go for all remaining sidequests since they just feel more like work than like playing a game and i don't gaf about achievements
i would give it a solid 7.5/10

This game will let players relive their A Link to the Past nostalgic childhood experience, I thoroughly enjoyed it for the most part. However, there are many game breaking problems that ultimately ruined my opinion. The game is desperately in need of further development.
The Endless Abyss dungeon teleport pad in the centre of every floor transition room will end the run instantly with no confirmation message and is easy to accidentally activate. Losing a several hour run for the achievement feels bad.
The equipment selection menu sometimes continues to scroll after exiting the menu.
The farming system is broken, when trees die all tiles used by the 3x3 crop become unusable for several in game days or until exiting the game, except for the single tile which the tree seed was planted on.
The beastiary progression for monsters will randomly stop working for some reason.
Several instances of enemies warping through walls.
Monsters becoming immune to all damage, specifically fish monster in swamp dungeon will become immune when stunned and damaged until after the stun ends.
Player unable to attack or receive damage from monsters. Picking up a world space item like grass or stone fixed this.
Audio (overworld, dungeon, and boss music) stops working. A fragment of the boss intro music kept working then abruptly stop which was arguably worse than if it were just silent.
Unable to track specific power sphere collection progress to know which area of the map to search, This should be added to the menu display.
This game is a lot of fun and is very addictive. Friends can work together!
There's very little to do outside of the four main dungeons, virtually all of the other interactions in the overworld seem to be puzzles that always reward you with a spherical (a collectable that allows you to further invest in your class skills) or some sort of fetchquest.
The dungeons themselves are enjoyable, but when a player dies (and it can happen easily and often), they're often forced to sit out for 5-10+ minutes until the surviving players can bring their skull to a shrine to resurrect them. Often times players will die in a way such that their skull is stuck in a small area and can't be brought to a shrine at all for the rest of that run. This forces the players to have to decide whether to exile that player indefinitely or restart the run. The mechanic itself has some promise but it's poorly implemented as-is.
Some of the dungeons have soft locks that will end your run by locking you in an area you can't leave, so your only option is to self-destruct to end the run.
The town buildings/interactions all basically amount to different upgrades, and certain types of upgrades (health vs damage vs stamina etc) are arbitrarily separated into different houses so you have to coordinate with your friends to make a circuit to spend your gems after each run, which can be kind of a chore because you all have to visit each building together rather than splitting up.
The devs are very much done with the game; do not expect any bugfixes or patches.
It was fun for a short bit with friends. Get it on a major sale if for some reason you don't want to play Four Swords.
Only buy this on sale, or else doesn't worth the money. Also bring another buddy to play with you, or you will be those kind of crybabies in review below. OuO)b

Class balance is way off, and due to how horrible the auto-targeting behavior works with controller, there's not much in sense of game play variety.
You can be a hero that uses a sword,
or a mage that uses a sword while occasionally hitting enemies with spells,
or a ranger that uses a sword while occasionally hitting enemies with arrows.
Nevertheless, I still recommend it because it's a lot of fun to play with friends, and it goes on sale pretty frequently which makes it dirt cheap.
Maybe get it on a sale if you're planning to play solo.
Definitely get it on a sale if you have three other people to play with.
