Turns out it's actually really easy to make a one-button 3D platformer that's actually fun. The Balan Wonderworld team were just hacks.
Suzy Cube is a funny platform game with some cutes designs and a cool ambiant. For his low price, I recommend it!!!
I love this game! It's such a cozy and fun game. I love 3d platformers, also collectathons, so this is perfect for me!
It's a fun game with a small budget. Painfully obvious that it is inspired by Super Mario 3D Land.
+ Visual design is simple and centered around cubes, the main character's design and animations are cute.
- Levels do feel a bit empty, mostly contains mechanics and level designs you've seen in existing Mario games.
- Sound design was clearly and sadly an afterthought, so much so that I can recognize the app they used to generate 8 bit sound effects. That's the biggest gripe I have with this game (it's not THAT bad though)
- Missing Steam cloud saving also.
Even with all this I still recommend it because it's chill, fun, cute and not very expensive (can go as low as 80 cents on sale)
If the trailer looks fun, buy this. It's a simple, cute and relaxing platformer.
And for perfectionists this must be not bad.
Really good game.
Some of the collectible stars are in the most disgusting places and the bosses are same with a different color. One powerup completely overshadows the rest. The Special Star Stuff achievement is bugged. Super Mario 3D Land rip off.
