Decently fun and simple thing to keep my hands busy while I'm watching videos. Why yes, I did first play this game after hearing about it from my grandma, why do you ask?

Solid game. Got this for 99 cents on sale. Definitely paid for itself already with the way that I count things. If they only had solitaire too. I don't like playing the "free" one on windows because of ads. I will imagine that this game will slowly chalk up the hours as I play it here and there. Normal chess would be cool too. They have chess on a website but it is pretty expensive to play every once in a while and I worry about someone stealing my data.

It is a good puzzle game, no more or less. Worth it on sale.

I've played versions of Bejeweled before, but never with graphics this smooth and with such a great variety of game modes. I love it!

There are just two things I would change about Zen Mode. First of all, I wish there was a way to turn off the tunnel animation that plays between levels, or at least shorten it significantly. It kind of stresses me out with the fast motion, which is detrimental to Zen Mode.

(EDIT: I played all the other game modes before trying Classic mode. The tunnel animation is also in Classic mode, and it's just as stressful there.)

Also, I wish there were different options for the announcer's voice. The announcer in this game isn't bad, per se, but I think his voice sounds kind of scary, like the Mortal Kombat announcer. In Zen Mode, the announcer's voice feels out of place almost to the point of being comical.

It's great, but I personally think this one flies a little too close to the sun. It sheds a lot of the original space vibes in favor of fantasy. And it's just kinda gimmicky overall.

Worth giving it a shot, maybe this is more your speed than 2 or Twist.

If you like the Bejeweled gameplay principle, you cannot make a mistake buying this one (when on sale). Play the classic mode or various others, the game supports Steam Achievements.

An incredibly fun game with a ton of character. Over 15 years old and still better than 99% of the slop put out today. Tons of creative energy was used in this game! It's worth the money!

It's good for mindless matching to keep yourself occupied and patient. I like trying my best to beat all of the timers and then traipsing back to Zen when I need to stop being quite so tilted.

I very strongly recommend Bejeweled 3 to any person who is looking for a classic match 3 game. This is without a doubt the best match 3 game out there due to various factors. It brings back a rush of nostalgia from when I first played this on my Nintendo as a child, and coupled with the beautiful old school graphics and incredible soundtrack that have been carried over impeccably to PC, it provides a genuine and timeless experience.

All of the game modes are incredibly distinct; all enjoyable in their own way with each game having its own unique flair. My personal favourites are the time based ones because I love the rush it gives me. However if that is not your thing, there are also game modes that are more strategy based that do not have a time constraint on them. The fact that PopCap could utilise the humble match 3 action and create 8 distinct game modes genuinely astounds me.

Something else that gives this game an edge over its competitors is the in-game achievements, which are presented as "badges" that you can earn in a little showcase. This is such a creative and well designed part of the game that you literally could not make better if you wanted to. Some of the badges are skill based and some of them are a cumulative achievement, with most of them having different tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum). It is an incredibly satisfying system that gives the player an incentive to keep playing, as they have something to work towards. To top it off, the fact that the badges were made into Steam achievements optimises convenience and also user satisfaction for achievement hunters.

One final thing I wanted to mention is that there is a unique feature in this game, which is of course that you can "make multiple matches while new gems fall into place". I personally believe this is a great characteristic of Bejeweled 3 that truly sets it apart. This feature makes it so that game modes that rely on speed are more thrilling, simply because of how fast the game play can get. And the best part is that if you don't like this feature, you can just manually wait for your move to be over.

Overall, I personally believe that Bejeweled 3 is the best match 3 game out there by far. I really recommend this to anyone who is looking for a low-commitment match 3 game because this is exactly what you are looking for.

I bought this mostly for the nostalgia of the early 2010 internet, but it is honestly pretty fun to play. It is very repetitive, but it is fun to just sit down and play for 15 minutes every once in a while.

Classic 2000s casual game nostalgia and definitely brings back hella memories. def worth the price on or off sale. you can't go wrong with this

Bejeweled is a series that has always been played though out my family.
Some stayed with Blitz and some tried other games.
I still do this day love that I got this game and still get my puzzle kick going.

The modes and music is always a nice welcome back to a simple puzzle game.

This little thing is really cool on PC.
A good practice for my rusty brain cells, hehe... Can only recommend it!
And now it costs only 1 EURO {or CHF in my case}
I had no idea it is available on STEAM because i used to play that back in the days on my mobile phone.

*** i always got stuck at level 9... Game over after few moves. I guess it's a trap and if you choose wrong, you're done...
*** but for 1 CHF, 30 minutes of playing isn't bad at all!


WHY I DIDN'T buy more than just 2 games even if discounted up to 92%!:

Saw this game because of the Electronic Arts Inc. sales days here on STEAM, but i generally don't buy Electronic Arts Inc. games because of the obstacles called :

- Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: EA online activation and EA app software installation and background use required.

- Requires 3rd-Party Account: EA Account (Supports Linking to Steam Account)

- Uses Kernel Level Anti-Cheat
EA Anti-Cheat - Requires manual removal after game uninstall

However, i noticed how this game isn't infected and i bought that and Command & Conquer™ Remastered Collection which also isn't infected.

Other deals from EA are discounted up to 92%, but heavily INFECTED and even if they cost only few bucks now, the infection is stopping me from spending any money on it.
I never play Multiplayer online mode and don't see why i need all that sickness installed on my PC!

Well, i strongly assume EA and some of their partners can live without my money, however I bet i am not the only one!

It's my mother favourite game on Steam.

Your typical match-3 game but it's a classic. Remembered playing this with family back on laptops that still had DC disks. Good times and RIP Popcap games, you will be missed :(

For the price it is now, anyone can pick it up and have some fun. Easily could even get it for your parents or an older audience because of how relaxing it is, too!

The Bejeweled series are a classic of PC gaming, and this third entry in the series is probably the best of them all.

Also: No ads, and no macro-transactions - just buy-once-play-forever match-3 fun throughout different game modes. Zen mode is good to unwind for a while as you listen to some music or a podcast.

If you like casual puzzle games, definitely get Bejeweled 3 whenever it's on sale.

Fun relaxing game with many options.

absolute classic with great music, nice visuals, fun sounds, boosin narrator, and good variety with the different modes! Considering what you're paying this is what we call a "deal and a half", maybe a deal and not half but maybe closer to two thirds, since it's also part of the party pack bundle and it goes on super sweet sales every so often (yep, just graduated from english class!)

It's so funny how seriously this game takes its self with its presentation and how much i happily buy into it, because it really is that good to the point where im sold on its crazy mythical aesthetic, its the type of style i usually hate but it elevates it a good bit for me, eight out of ten shining gems !

Runs perfectly. This game franchise laid the groundwork for what is now (sadly) Candy Crush.
Play this instead of Candy Crush, it's better in every way.

Better than Candy Crush in every inconceivable way possible. No ads, no micro transactions, no bloat. This is the quintessential match three game. Zen mode is SUPER fun and I can literally play it for hours. I will forever appreciate the middle aged mother that recommended this game to me. <3

Peaceful, enjoyable, a pleasant thing to just vibe with for a while. Except diamond minor. That gets SERIOUS.

I can't explain how good this game is. It builds on Bejeweled 2's foundations and delivers a better experience (not that 2 was terrible, I have more lifetime hours outside of Steam). I have a ton of hours on the Nintendo DS version as well. If you have ever played Candy Crush, this is a BILLION times BETTER. None of that "recharging lives" stuff. No EA App. Its literally the best match 3 to exist to this very day. Get it.

A game that stands out for its wide variety of minigames around the match-3 concept.

The game features a softlock protection (if you pop the last possible match on the board, the falling gems are guaranteed make a new match possible)

Classic mode

The endless mode. No time limit/bonus of any sort.
Breaking enough gems eventually triggers a "level up", which is simply an event that shuffles gems on screen.
Most importantly, softlock protection is disabled, and the run ends if you can't match anything.

Strategy

Since the only thing that matters in this mode is to avoid running out of matches, it's more rewarding to focus on the gems closest to the top, and only match lower gems when there's nothing else to do above.
The bottom of the screen is also harder to shuffle, which encourages such approach.

It's also unrewarding to use special gems, as they're better for desperate situations, but using them too early might make the player miss on a good amount of potential matches.

From that angle, the Classic mode effectively encourages to play as boringly as possible, prioritize smaller matches and avoid power gems.
This can get pretty long thanks to the absence of time constraint. On my first serious run, I reached over 4 millions points (platinum badges requires 500k) for about 2 hours in that single run, which I gave up by myself.

Diamond mine

A mode where the bottom half of the screen is covered in "dirt tiles", with various durability stages. Matching gems next to a dirt tile cheaps its durability, the goal being to dig as far as possible.

Due to the screen often being half-covered in dirt, there are only 5 colors of gems instead of 7, making for a lot of power gems.

I love Bejeweled it's really fun, especially Butterflies mode!

Its Bejweled. I really can't say any higher compliment than this, I love this game. I got it for 99 cents USD on sale.

It's a good game but the hardware recommendations are misleading. For the best experience, you need to play this on your mom's off-white Compaq PC running Windows XP that she keeps on a desk next to the living room TV while she watches the news.
