I love this childhood game however level 34 is impossible to pass due to it being a very SH(IT design (too curly too small and no angles to shoot ball, also gives me random backline balls so I just feed the liine).
I didnt even get angry this much at darksouls, I played the same level 9 times. WITH 3 LIVES EVERY TIME.
THAT MAKES IT 37 TIMES.

ALSO FIX THE FULLSCREEN I CANT SEE MY CURSOR.

Still a load of extra modes to try out, the SFX are super satisfying even after all these years, all in all just a classic game that lets me reminisce on the PopCap days when this was a major step above the Flash versions.

played this on my ds lite years ago and didn tknow it was on steam and was happy to see it was on sale, never beat it then but happy to almost beat it now

The hardest levels on hard mode are way to RNG based and the game lacks any variety. Unlike other similar style puzzle like games, for example Bejewled, this game has no interesting variety in mechanics. So its just a lot of the same content over and over. 100% this game is going to be a boring slog.

If your going to continue to sell the game then you should at least support the features included in the game on modern operating systems. You can not change the resolution or use full screen windowed. If you continue to sell the game, these are bare minimum features the game should have. "Hi resolution is not supported by your machine" Yeah sure my 4k high refresh rate monitor and RTX 4090 can't handle hi resolution Zuma...

best casual game but can be brutal too

I always liked marble-match 3 games like this. I also played the Luxor series (because I like Egyptian mythology), but it has the issue that it uses the standard form of filling a bar for completing a level. That is, it always adds the same value while destroying spheres, and it requires more points to fill it as you progress in the story, leaving you playing levels of like 10-15 mins of duration.
Zuma uses an increasing form of filling a bar. That is, the more combos you maintain, more points you add, and the bar fills faster. The levels can result then in 0:30 - 3:00 minutes of duration each, so you don't get bored and it also encourages you to try to beat the Ace times.
A couple of the achievements require a bit of luck to get, but can be 100% accomplished.
Take into consideration the Community guides for solving the Full HD Resolution option issues, in case you have them (I had them). The Full HD graphics adapt perfectly on modern laptops.

I can play this although I suffer from a minor colorblindness that is the most common one for male humans.
( There are some clones or variants out there where I cannot distinguish green and yellow that easily).
It is still so much fun to play and it has many elements I like so much about arcade-style games.
As soon as you start a new round there is no time to waste, no idle time or way to delay the action. It is stress for a few minutes where you do not even dare to blink and then it is over.
This is still so much fun and it hasn't aged a day. In my personal hall of fame it is even better than tetris.

After about 12 years I finally beat this game. When I was a kid my gran had this on her computer and I never managed to beat it without her doing all the hard levels for me. This game also made me realise I was colour blind back in the day so it gets a thumbs up for that. Lots of nostalgia too.

Seriously, it's that game that everyone's aunt has on their Dell laptop from 2006 that "still runs fine" as a CD ROM. It's amazing, my only complaint is that it's not on Linux so I can play on my chromebook at school

10/10, quite possibly the greatest game that the world has to offer. If I had to play one game for the rest of my life it would be Starfield because it quite literally does not end, but this would be my second choice.

My mom used to play this game on our family computer over a decade ago and my siblings and I all loved to watch. I found it on steam and it was very nostalgic watching our mom play this game again. She still has the skills! I'm very happy to have found this game again:)

This is a software disguised itself as a fun and colorful family game, but in reality is has been designed to torture and suffer those who dare to launch it.

This evil piece of software is designed to make you and those around you suffer for as long as this program stays turned on, all the pain relieving as soon as it is closed but making you addicted to the pain. Making you want to continue launching it, just to experience the pain uroboros over and over again.

This absolutely foul piece of software is there to make you suffer, and I have become nothing more than a piece of its terrific cog of addicts. A horrific machine powered by eternal suffering of those who have not heed the warnings foretold by others. My hands are shaking, I feel malnourished, I wish to be free of the pain but i am not able to.

Please do not take my warnings lightly, do not let the small price lure you in, do not let the positive reviews paint your perception or you shall suffer just as I and many others did.
