Yo what’s up guys
First off if your love MMOs and space MMOs this game is for you
I’ve played the first one for years and I’m glad to say tib2 is even better and supported by a strong and active player community
You’ll enjoy loot drops and just flying around with your corp mates
You should definitely check it out
5 star space mmo
This game is very near and dear to my heart. I love it, I've spent over a thousand hours on it. It's a great space based mmo that revolves around guilds called corps and involves "guild based" combat, but unlike other large mmos, the developer has artificially allowed a certain favored corp to monopolize power and terrorize players and other corps alike. The dev also overlooks their rampant toxicity that literally drives people to quit the game. It's been like this for far too long and I fear if it continues, not much of the game will be left in the future.
While the game itself is amazing, I cannot recommend it at this time due to current in game status quo and the dev's seeming inability to address imbalances, as well as specifically catering to a player group's demands, both in game and in the official discord server.
No life it with me, trust me it will be okay. Thousands of hours of fun to be had, my 299.9 isn't accurate at all as it's a cross platform game. Can play on any device besides consoles. Completely player driven experience that can't be had on any other game. Come join us and lose your wife, job, and life in the Infinite Black!!!!
Recommendation FOR the game at the end.
Found this game via a google ad while watching you tube on my phone. Began playing and found there was a PC version... was dissatisfied to find that it was free on the phone but costed on PC. When I searched for it via google for PC it ONLY directed me to steam where I had to pay for it.
While I was able to get it 80% off due to the steam space exploration fest I still had to pay for it. Upon logging in players told me that there IS a free PC version and the steam version just gives you 7 days of experience bonus and a couple cosmetics.... so 7USD for 7 days of exp bonus and a couple cosmetics in a game where graphics barely matter.
There is nae free choice on steam to play it and forego the bonuses or to get them later after deciding if you like the game.
And given the length of time it takes to really play the game you WILL pass the 2 hour mark forbidding a refund before you can really get into the game.
Despite dev rules I logged in and found the main chat to be very toxic and filled with all kinds of obscenities and vulgarities and had trouble finding a way to mute the main universe chat. I was then invited to a corporation(player group) and the leader of this group immediately began asking for sexy voice chat. After refusing/ignoring the requests many times and having mentioned i had a bad day he proceeded to be offensive and then kick me from the corporation for refusing to voice chat with him. This tells me he just wanted sex chat and has likely chased off many other players who were new to the game.
He then went into the main chat to tell others I am a bad person so as to exile me from other groups. Multiple others went along with his comments and made more sexist and vulgar comments and even insulted the dev himself saying he buys mailing lists from mental facilities in order to find new players.
This is apparently the community you can expect when playing this game.

Actual game play Pros and Cons:
Pros:
The game is generally relaxing and not inherently difficult but does have moments of adrenaline when hoping you will win a fight. The progression is generally steady albeit slow and the UI does have a learning curve and is poorly laid out BUT does give you a lot of options to customize your ships and gain materials, research and funds.
There appears to be a lot of future content that would become available as I got stronger that was not immediately visible when i started playing.
Cons:
a very slow game where it can take several minutes to cover distance unless you use quick jump costing "tech points" earned via actions and missions and achievements. Many of which are repeatedly but at a paced allowance. Alternatively you can spend real money to buy tech points which can directly equate to progress and power allowing big spenders to inherently be much stronger with greater ease.
The pay to win is somewhat expected since it seems to be mainly a mobile game and that's the model for the dev to make money since the mobile version does not have ads.
Obviously as above a very toxic community. I am currently waiting for a reply from the dev to screenshots of this behavior and if addressed will modify this review to include how it was addressed. My hope is the developer handles it and makes efforts to clean it up and make it more welcoming to all players of all genders and ages.
-----------------------------------------
Final recommendations.
NO primarily because of the toxic environment that only wants specific kinds of players who will fit in or do as the other players demand. However the game play it's self can be addictive and relaxing at the same time. If the toxicity is addressed then my overall recommendation would be a YES....Nice space exploration & fighting game with a nice player community and a very active developer, who is present in the game talking to the community.
If you like lots of ships to choose from and slapping lots of different guns, shields, drones onto them, this is a very nice game to pick up.
May seem grindy, but become member of a corporation and you will receive a lot of help from your mates!
I play on Steam and on my phone, works perfectly.
