best cricket game out there, shame it never went beyond early access. fantastic game!
Great game and much better gameplay than IB cricket, the shots feel so much more satisfying and flexible making it really enjoyable to play. Only thing holding it back is the lack of UI and game modes (e.g. Menu to quit the game or go back to the shed and tournaments in the same format or something along those lines). The only other thing is that each time you beat your high score it will constantly ask you to chase an even greater number making it a slog fest the more you play - this can be frustrating but doesn't take away from the satisfaction of the actual gameplay which is top notch, would definitely recommend.
this is an awesome cricket vr experience but its really sad to see there r no updates or any reply from the makers of this awesome game

Honestly Terrible, They mixed up controllers from left to right the bat is never aligned with controller/ real life bat. The height is so off, im 183 cm but in game the stumps come up to my shoulders with no way to adjust the height, re-orienteering the game is a night mare to align with the room you play in, even the center marking for the stumps is off and sometimes isnt even inline with any of the stumps. honestly i wouldnt even get this if it was free, it a horrible game and terribly designed. JUST BY IBCRICKET its 10/10 better
Release it on Quest 2. It looks fun ,unfortunately i dont want to be play with WIRES. if you OK with it or if your system can run it wireless then

1. Everything else. There's nothing much in the game to even talk about.
I have not tried any other ones extensively so I maybe wrong. For the price, it's alright.
One of the best VR cricket game still in 2022. Some people say IB Cricket, but IB cricket comes nowhere near in terms of the physics and graphics of this game. IB cricket has a lot more features but the quality is not there. I hope the developers will resume the development of this game in the near future.
My first foray into a cricket VR game and for the most part is plays quite nicely.
The UI is pretty easy to figure out however I couldn't figure out why different bats when I picked them up in the shed are held at different angles. If it was designed to accommodate different controller configurations isn't clear.
The grounds that I've played so far are nicely represented with ambient noises you'd hear at those places. Wakefield Park in Island Bay and The Basin Reserve, both in Wellington. Apparently there are other parks, but I haven't tried them yet.
Using WMR I found the bat tracking a bit crap and the player height seems a little off. Raising your bat behind you and playing a straight shot can, for some reason, have your bat at a 45degree angle on the stroke. There was some mention in the forums about ground collision, and this being something that could be disabled however I haven't noticed any difference with it enabled or disabled. The players height seems to be on the lower side compared to the AI as well meaning you bat can drag along the ground on strokes, and more annoyingly getting bouncers over your head aren't called as such. The height thing means you need to stand up right to keep the bat from dragging which takes away some of the batting realism. Perhaps it works better with a better headset/controllers. I found with my controllers I was making shots with the bats handle about as often as with the bat!
The biggest disappoint, and I knew this before I purchased the game, is that the devs haven't done anything with the game for some time (Mar 2020 iirc) which is a real shame given the potential. The above issues aren't likely to be resolved anytime soon and the devs have been pretty silent since it's last update.
Despite the incomplete feel to the game, it's still fun. I like supporting local devs and playing on grounds I'm very familiar with is pretty cool. For the price of two overpriced beers at the Basin it's worth the novelty even if you get a few hours out of it. Hopefully the devs will one day pick this back up and continue making the minor changes it needs to take it to the next level
This is about as close to actual cricket in vr as you can get, pretty decent game and worth the price overall. Obviously as this is vr and not real life there are somethings that are alot harder in this game like playing off your pads, you have no legs so if one pitches down leg swings back across you and miss it your fucked where as irl youd probably get pad on that and not out LBW because pitched outside leg. Also if you bat with a trigger movement like myself (I bat on leg and go back and across my stumps) you will find yourself getting out of line with your off stump constantly because its difficult to stay in line without your legs and feet, I'm either just terrible or its hard without seeing your lower body, but overall pretty good game and worth it to deal with no Cricket in the winter or if we only get a handful of games in the summer due to covid again.
Atleast I can score a hundred in this and pretend im not w@nk at cricket when i cause a batting collapse nicking off for 1 again after going for a booming drive opening the batting for the 3's.
It's good, the bowling feels very realistic.
Only struggle I have is perfecting the size of my cricket bat to feel comfortable with the oculus quest 2's handhelds.
I've tried iB Cricket and Cricket Club both.
I have to say that while iB Cricket has a few nice additions for configuration (e.g. rotation of bat in your grip hand around the z axis), in actual bat contact with the ball - Cricket Club is superior and feels more realistic.
The NPC chatter and background noise is also just about perfect. It captures the feel of the sport on a sunny day when as batter you're surrounded by jovial but competitive banter.
Contrast this with iB Cricket - with it's bloody annoying music...
So - I decided to stick with Cricket Club. I do hope to see more updates though. The Club house is a little buggy when the bat gets stuck in a table or disappears outside through the wall. And the developer promises to include "more venues and a 2 player strategic mode in the future" - according to the manual.
I would also like to see a practice mode added (like iB) where you can choose how the next bowl is played.
The manual encourages people to try attaching one controller to a bat.
I wouldn't go that far - it isn't needed. I found two hands - one controller worked fine.
I play using an old Oculus CV1. BTW: I have improvised a "bat" from a 22cm long length of 40mm plastic waste pipe. Just pop the controller into this (fits tight). Loop the cord out the bottom and hook the end onto a screw (to be sure the controller can never fly off across the room). It took maybe 5 minutes to make!
Amazing game. Awesome immersion and realism. Captures the village cricket feel perfectly and really feels accurate when it all comes together. Nothing beats timing a ball sweetly to the boundary or the adrenaline rush from having a bouncer crack against your helmet! 10/10. Massive props to the developers.

I have played a number of cricket games on my VR headset (Vive) and consider this game the best VR cricket batting game. It balances visuals with proper gameplay and generally rewards 'good' or 'proper' cricket shots rather than standing there and whacking it with no footwork.
A steep learning curve but once you are comfortable it's a good batting simulation on Test difficulty.
Its a real shame that progress has stalled on this game and hopefully the devs can access more funding for further updates.
Surprisingly fun, and very good value for money too. Will need some room to really get the most of this though, if you're in a small area you won't get the best of this.
Tracking on the reverb g2 is so bad that this doesnt work, the bat disappears when watching the bowler run up unless you hold it out in front, you cant take a backswing otherwise the headset loses tracking.
Absolutely thrilled with this game and what it’s done for PCVR.
When I used to play cricket in real life, I would rarely get the opportunity to bat! When I did, I would suck. This game changed that.
The fundamental vibe of this game is orientated towards the player actually spending more time playing cricket and less time worrying about stats, in/game rewards, etc. I’ve spent hours on this game and I’ve finally gotten used to its dynamics which are extremely similar to the real world.
I was impressed by how you can change settings through Oculus Virtual Desktop (in built, not the app), and how easy it is to get started.
I personally think anyone who’s a cricket fanatic or loves sports should play this game and support its developers in making it a success.

everytime i start playing with a smile on my face and finish (finish if the game hasn't glitched me out of it somehow) with me wanting to smash my headset, and not because of a bad shot or low score...
looks like the design decisions by the developers are to create an experience providing similar emotions the kiwis felt when they lost the wc by a tie. good for casuals, fustrating for enthusiasts.
menu:
-no proper in game menu system.
-menu prone to crashing.
-menu requires selections using an imprecise bat which leads to wrong selections reqiring the game to be reset/restarted.
-interacting with items, a lot of the time causes the menu to crash thanks to buggy collision model.
-game needs to be reset/restarted each time menu crashes.
game:
-crappy collision model, to the extent that sometimes the ball with go through the corners of bat on replay without any contact being simulated.
-no in game menu to pause, exit, other basic crap. have to restart game everytime something feks up, which is often, if playing for long durations.
-game will hang or not progress sometimes after reaching a certain point, cant force next ball and ofcourse no menu built in.
-wide bowling simulator esp with spinners.
-menu music will take ages to go away once game has started.
-game modes make no sense/inconsistent.
-test difficulty mode has one bowler bowling at 140-150kph, while the other swing/pace/seam bowlers bowl at only 100-115kph WTF.
-county difficulty spinners bowl short and wide all day getting more turn than the test difficulty spinners.
-cant disable streaker, hat left by streaker on pitch interferes with deliveries, have to touch it then wait forever for the streaker to go away.
-lack of customization options, held back by the simplisitc limitations of the averagely designed game modes.
-bugs and inconsistencies make game unrewarding.
Wow. This may still be in early access, but it is truly incredible. Easily the best cricket experience I've had on the PC, bar none.
The batting experience is really immersive, and hit detection seems bang on the money. When I get out (which happens often), I know that it is because of a mistake I made, rather than janky game mechanics. The replay function is great to analyse your strokes, in particular when you hear the dreaded clatter of the wicket, and want to work out where you went wrong.
Graphically, the game is very good. I was sceptical about the stylised Subbuteo-esque players shown in the screenshots, but actually these work very well, and do not spoil the immersion. Being able to play a full innings is great, and I understand that there are plans to introduce run chasing scenarios, etc. Would like to have some proper matches and, even better, a career mode where you can work your way through Club cricket to international level as a batsman. That would elevate this game to something really, really, really special.
So many nice touches for a game made by a small Indie studio. If you have a VR device, and even a passing interest in cricket, this is thoroughly deserving of your money. Don't wait for a sale!
Two thumbs WAAAAY up.
Just played for 42 minutes of Club-level cricket with 10 wickets and 20 overs. My first impression so far? Buy it right now if you have even a passing interest in the sport of Cricket, the gentleman's game! Forget about the others. Not too many games (VR or non-VR) can impress me in 40 minutes, mind you! Important tip: Do a little bit of exercise for 3-4 minutes before playing, or else you might end up pulling a muscle or two.
First thing first (and the thing that matters the MOST when it comes to this kind of games): The physics felt very realistic. Yes, they nailed it!
Loved the starting area and background music (Wish I could download and play it offline. That's how much I loved it). It's also great to know that the community has been working hard finding bugs and making suggestions to help the devs make a better product. I'm enjoying it so far and will write a detailed review later once I have more playtime.

The devs should also remove the bowels/cups from underneath the fielders and make them run/walk realistically in the future. But for now I'm content with the core gameplay, and also understand that it's in early access.The above point is my only little gripes with this game so far. Everything else is near perfect. Loved loved loved the sound effects, character speeches ("CAAAAATCH IT!"), quality of graphics. animations and overall feel. Hitting the ball feels great, and the post-effect feels realistic and not arcadey. Very immersive and impressive. I was genuinely working up a sweat. My personal rating for Cricket Club in this early access stage of the game is a 8 out of 10.

Things I would like to see added / modified:
- The fielders at the moment can take absolutely worldy catches, even at club level. When you hit one straight out the middle, to the side of short mid on, chances of him taking it are slim, no problem for these guys though.
- The bowlers line and length made more variable. Even at test cricket level nobody can put a ball on a 10p every single ball. More variation required. I don't think i've actually played a cut shout without taking a full step down the leg side.
- I'd like to see after a couple of games an average score set depending on the options you've selected. Something to give yourself a target to reach.
- Currently the only way to reset the game as far as I can tell, is to take off the headset and use the main monitor display. It would be useful to have the reset and back to the pavillion on say the pause screen or menu button for the vive. Also a way to reset your current position would be nice. I found when loading if I stand in the middle of my play circle, I am in the middle of the table and have to step back to correctly select options in the game.
[*]I'd like to see the fielders chase the ball, and also to have the option to select if you wish to run or not.
Massive positives are the hit spot and the flow of the game. It actually feels like you are out in the middle. This game is a fantastic start and would recommend it to any cricketer or fan.
In my oppinon best Cricket VR experience available so far (20-Jan-18) ... However we still have a far way to go.
On a side note one of my friend came to try VR & jumped right into cricket club without a proper VR tutorial and right after hitting the ball ... he decided to take a run by "literally" running & yes he hit the wall infront badly ... he forgot he was not in a real ground :)
A very small cut on his face with few drops of blood & HTC Vive got several cracks but still runs fine.
So just a heads up .... you can't actually run in the ground to take runs lol
