The game is played with Guitar-Hero-style beatmatching mechanics - however, the better you do, the more horror elements you will get! Jump scares, unsettling visual elements, and even UI breakdowns are in store as the the game itself tries to prevent you from succeeding.
You will experience stage fright. The question is, how will you deal with it?
- 7 original songs at release! Enjoy the haunting piano melodies of composers Larry Shen and Jeff Huang.
- Procedural Horror! Our system will recognize how well you are playing and mess with you while you're doing well.
- Play on a computer keyboard or use a MIDI Controller! Stage Fright can be played with both.
- Discover the story! Piece together the horror elements to figure out who HANNAH is, and why she is haunting you.

It's a neat rhythm game. I am gonna refund it cause it's not really my kind of game (I'm a sissy)
With the negative reviews I was expecting it to be much worse, honestly very fun tho hard when you're not used to using both hands like that musically. Because of that the difficulty is a bit stiff but it's a $2 game, so 4 songs and 3 in arcade mode seem perfectly fine to me for the price. Perhaps it was more back when it released but as is I don't mind at all paying the price here. The scary stuff is relatively stock but I like the way it challenges you by distorting the screen, static audio, etc. I haven't completed it yet due to the difficulty but I really do find the main gameplay fun.
Once again hard but a neat little $2 experience.
It was a short and fun little game.
For the horror element, there are not really jumpscares (for me at least). But it does put you on edge. I jumped a bit when someone had touched my neck while playing.
Gameplay is easy in the beginning but can quickly get harder. I needed to replay the thirth song a couple of times before i could complete it. Arcade song 2 seems a bit impossible for me.
The story is shown to you in bits and pieces before, during and after the song. It's easy to figure out what happend after completing the fourth song. But it was a nice short little mystery.
I'll give this game a 7/10: it's not the best game that exist, but i also don't hate it. it's a nice concept to mix horror with rhythm. You can certainly finish this game within an hour, but you can keep it on your desktop in case your in the mood again for some horror rhythm.
this is what stage fright is. The better you did, the more panic you will be and expecting yourselves to fail. However, the more you practice, the less effect the stage fright will be to you. Like this game, the more you know and prepared for what it throws at you, the better you will be at the game. And, just like real life, no matter how much you prepared, stage fright can still affect you. This game is true to its idea so I would recommend is you're trying to look for an inspiration. However, the game has limited songs available so it may get boring quickly. More songs or the ability for the game to generate note would be awesome. Additionally, maybe have a concert mode where you play a few song continuously. And maybe a mode for someone who just want to enjoy the song like a jukebox.
*miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss**miss* ahhh yess the only thing i cant miss, the refund button
A simple little rythm game with some interesting idea's behind. And the visual horror did get me a few times, it isnt any Doki DokI Literature Club but there are some cool and interesting effects. The story is... Meh. But that wasnt what I was here for. Wait for a sale and buy it cheap.
(Also keep in mind I play a lot of Stepmania so I may have had a bit of an advantage)
Story was very vague and non-existent. Last song of story mode is clearly broken. It wasn't clear if completing a song had any meaning.
The concept had potential. A rhythim horror game? HECK YEAH! I was pumped when I stumbled upon this game. I loved rhythm games and horror games, and it was such an original concept. However, the game didn't hold up to my expectations. There were only 4 story related songs and even then there wasn't much story. It's one thing to have a subtle story when it's not the super main focus of the game, but it made such a big deal over the fact of "why is there something haunting him while he plays? What did he do?" and never really gives you an answer.
Also while the actual rhythm game part was fun, it just wasn't scary. There would be distortion or the screen would turn upsidedown. THERE WERE NO BLOODY JUMPSCARES WHICH YOU SPECIFICALLY STATED IN THE DISCRIPTION WERE GOING TO BE THERE. Like I'd love to see this concept revisited, but it's honestly overpriced and not scary at all. If it was like a dollar or two i wouldn't be too mad, but 8 dollars is ridiculous.
This is a game, that while I enjoy it conceptually, and the first two songs, I find that I can't recommend it to anyone except experienced pianists (or keyboardists). With there only being the seven songs, four in story and three in arcade, the difficulty after the first song is absolutely brutal to the point where as an amateur, although experienced with other music games, I find that I can't complete more than the first two songs of the story, and the first in arcade. The second of the three arcade songs is particularly ludicrous for anyone starting out (and I haven't even tried checking the third)
In regards to the difficulty of the 'haunting' of the songs being procedurally generated, I can't really say that I experienced it at all, as the experience was all but identical for about 80% of the playthrough, with the alternate effects I was struck with making it either easier by having the harder effects for that song coming early, or impossible by having certain ones happening in difficulty stretches. However I would not say it was one way or another from my playing to that point.
With the effects themselves, there is one particular mechanic which makes the game unplayable in my opinion, where you successfully play a note, however an echo of the note you have to play remains and then plummits off the board, causing you to 'miss' which both breaks your combos and pushes you towards a loss. Having this happen mutliple times in a row, particularly when you're trying to rebuild concentration after a tough section can easily wipe you.
The first time i heard about this game, i wanted it, because i play a lot of rhythm games. Even with the week delay.
After playing the game for some time, i noticed that i am randomly missing notes, apart from getting a "Great" on the same note. It is not explained why i miss these notes.
The next annoying thing is that the two lines are too far away. You cant look at both at the same time. The game gets pretty intense on the third song and you will miss a lot and fail.
The concept of mixing horror with a rhythmgame is pretty cool. The Songs are great, if you can get to the good parts.
There was no story at all, 4 songs and sometimes it would distort the screen if you do well. Once you finish the game it just loops the last song over and over without telling you whats happening. Not really a horror game. they said 7 songs but 3 are an "arcade mode". Wouldn't bother.
