About the Game
Hammerting is a vertical dwarven mining colony sim with RPG elements.Manage a clan of colourful Dwarves, establish an epic mining operation, craft legendary swords and delve deep for greater glory, riches... and danger.
With conflict raging on the surface, the Dwarves pledge to delve deep and as master craftspeople, will produce and supply what is needed to support their allies. From humble beginnings, you start with a handful of Dwarves who need to set up their operations quickly. However, as you progress, your small clan will expand and become known throughout the Overworld for their skill and premium craftsmanship.
Crafting for Victory
Allies on the surface will have all manner of requests. Dwarves may find themselves asked to craft a plethora of silver swords against an oncoming army.
With the Overworld in need, every successful delivery takes you one step closer to triumph. As your Dwarves grow in skill and your base expands, build conveyor belts and elevators to free them of manual labour.
Colorful Personalities
Does Åglöf’s fancy ancestry clash with Vargskreva’s humble upbringing? Is your explorer afraid of the dark? Has your master crafter reached their Ballmer Peak? Aim for success and exploit the strengths of your Dwarves, as well as their weaknesses. Each Dwarf is richly and uniquely defined through its stats, Dwarven ancestry, traits, abilities, equipment, move-set and much more, as they are shaped by events occurring in their lives.
Skilled Craftspeople
Anyone can craft an Iron Sword, but only Dwarves can dig down into the depths and cart up boatloads of diamonds and bones and use it to craft the... Iron Sword +2.
With every strike of the hammer on an anvil, a skilled Dwarf has a better chance of achieving a critical result, giving you better and improved gear.
Living Cave
It is as they say – “Fortune favours the bold”, and only in the deepest depths will you find the most powerful materials, the warmest magma, the rarest treasures, but also the most dangerous conditions.
Figuring out the fastest and safest route down - and up again - is a chief concern, but you’ll have plenty of unique Dwarven mechanisms to help you to do so.
Hammerting features liquid and physics mechanics for pumping sizzling lava to your hearths, brewing hoppy beer, tossing burning torches down shafts to light up the unknown and more!
Online Co-op Mode
A Dwarven king once said: “A single axe is easily blunt, but an army of axes is unbreakable!”. You might want to explore and populate the depths of Mara on your own, but you can also partner up with jolly comrades and run a dwarven colony together. It’s all about synchronization, companionship and common goals!

Was a fun game...never completed, abandoned.
fun but unplayable in multiplayer due to bugs, no more updates coming

This game has amazing promises, so much potential.
You start building your with your dwarf. getting bigger and bigger. getting hype.
Everything looks cool and great.
Until suddenly...
Nothing works correctly, everything is broken the dwarf are so confused wont work or craft even tho they have thousands of bars and all the materials. you missing parts, building that you "unlock" but never got
You start having crazy problems Mid-game
Freaking out, and start looking for answer or maybe someone with the same problem.
Then you find your answer...
Turns out! the developers abandon the game half way.
Dont waste your money nor fall in love with a ghost.
it's truly unfortunate the developers decided to stop work on this game, it had a lot of potential. a few weird things i've noticed.
Warpzone's website hasn't been updated since april 12 2023, it is now september 19th 2024. this is odd since they've talked about focusing on other projects but i have seen zero evidence to this? maybe NDAs preventing this i don't know
another thing is the website for the game itself, the use AI images for the "art" and even weirder is they have AI art ads for serbian and New Zealand Casinos. I'm not sure if the Domain was bought out or they rented ad space but it just seems odd.
Also as a final note, putting this game on sale constantly while knowing you haven't finished it and not letting people know this upfront is a little suspect to me.
The game in it's state is fun, however there are many issues with it that could have been fixed and could very well be if the Devs decide to take a crack at it again, but unfortunately they don't seem interested.
I do not recommend this if you're expecting a proper game. I think there is value in getting it on sale for a few bucks if you understand that you're looking at an abandoned game that was abandoned mid-development, and will have glaring issues with its gameplay loop, but you can still get an idea for some of their ideas that deviate from feature-complete games like Craft the World.
If they ever were to return to continue development of the game, or make it open source, it'd probably be well worth checking out then.
Despite having not finished the game, the devs left us with pretty deep dwarf/mining Experience. IMO, well worth the money I put into it. Still wish they had had a chance to finish it though :D
I really want to recommend this game. It has a solid foundation and a really good concept. The gameplay is fun and engaging. There are many, many things to praise about this game.
However, the game is abandonware. The devs rushed out a release version and then stopped updating it. While it is in a playable state, there are a few small bugs, like indestructible ladders and dwarves getting stuck in endless movement loops. The game is also missing many small QoL features.
