To complete the quest, you must explore all the lands that surround you to find the four pieces of map which will give you access into the Golden Valley.
Along the way you will have to defeat many enemies and retain their gold and useful items to increase your abbilities so that you might survive the perils.
Once the map is complete, you will then make your way to the golden Valley to find the Legendary Lost Treasure.
But wait! You are not alone in the quest! There are other gunmans know of this lost treasure. Be the first to complete the quest!
Moreover, you are bound to encounter the dangerous Werewolfs, who wander the land. So, beware of this creatures during a full moon!

Trash game, incomplete controls. Cant aim, moving and aiming is the same thing. Its like it was designed by a 4 year old whos never seen a mouse or controller. Also, A and B are backwards?? what on earth is this dogshi7
Something like ''blood bros.'' arcade.
Very simple and nice game.
It has some additions but, it has the same old school feel.
It is an interesting concept. I've played mostly the arcade game mode with my wife and that was just as how I'd imagine it in an old arcade - very fun! The adventure mode seemed to be interesting too, but it wasn't something that my wife not could enjoy so I spared it for a later time for only myself.
The arcade mode wasn't brutally hard, but still offered a great deal of challenge, too - I think we got only to the fourth level.

I was looking for a game like this for a long time and, in the end, I decided to buy it and I have not regretted it at all. I got what I was looking for: an addictive arcade style gameplay with some interesting challenges. It definitely reminds me a lot of the games that people couldn't stop playing in arcades in the 90's.
The Game has improved, that's not a lie. But now its problem is the controls, it is terrible if you are at least playing with an Xbox controller or with another. IT's should have the option to change or modify the controls to your preference.
When they fix this issue, I will recommend this game
For the Arcades classics lovers. Back to the 90's.
Controls could be better. Perhaps playing with mouse and keyboard is better than pad.
Arcade mode is recommended to start since Adventure mode it having a sort of turn per turn phase with a 1 shot per player which does not help to get used to the controls.
Overall the game is fast paced. It is rich enough in environments and details.
Full price is probably a bit high. 5$ should be enough. You will most probably not spend hours on it.
Gunman Tales is a fun game unless you want to play with mouse and keyboard. you can but you can not remap your buttons and theirs are all over the place and it took me a few tries to find everything. this has 3 modes: quest, arcade and duel. in duel you just try to be the first to shoot when the game tells you and you win. in adventure you play the shooting parts where you are at the bottom shooting enemies that fumble around up top as you roll out of the way of their bullets. in quest mode you pick 1 of 4 characters then all 4 are given turns to move on a map (none picked characters will be played by the ai). in this mode landing on dots puts you in one of the shooting levels, landing on other characters puts you in duel, landing on a town gives you access to some shops (the doc will heal 1hp per donation), card games, and the Sharif that can give you missions for cash, then there's the Native Americans that want fire water and your house will heal you 1hp. there could be some other things but that's the gist of it.
the games a lot of fun and if they gave a remap option i'ed rate it higher but as it it now mouse/keyboard controls are a mess but it's still worth it.

Love the aesthetic and the cowboy settings but making aiming and movement tied to the left stick and both moving at different speeds is just not good to control at all. Almost immediately I wanted to stop. If it was like an arcade shooter or smth it wouldve worked. Best option wouldve been to make it a twin stick shooter.

TLDR: Play Major Mayhem instead. Retro charm wasted on iffy difficulty and game balance made worse by poor controls. Dash often does not register. Aiming near impossible with Xbox360 pad.
Gunman tales has two modes. One is a board-game like mode in which little cowboy hats move about seemingly pointlessly, and you can go to hotspots to fight, find the other hats to duel them, or rest and find items. Seems like it could be entertaining but it is not super intuitive to use and it did not really hook me. It seemed to just add more pointless waiting and delay to the arcade mode with little strategic considerations or added gameplay.
The arcade mode would be a series of rather nicely animated scenes with nice backgrounds. The encounter design is poor, as the game just seems to spam foes somewhat at random, and have them shoot somewhat at random. So there are moments of seeming inactivity followed by a rather chaotic attack pattern. Your character's hitbox is fairly large, and you move about rather sluggishly and clumsily. Double tapping arrow keys for dash often seemed to not work, I would often have to triple tap, or try to tap at them at a precise rhythm. Something just felt off.
With the Xbox360 pad the character model movement and the aiming reticle are tied together. Why they did not allow them to be used independently through twinsticks is baffling and a trip in the settings menu did not seem to fix much of anything.
The settings warn that KB+M is only for arcade mode but it seemed to work fine in adventure mode as well (board-game)
I am always on the lookout for an effective, duck-hunt or rail shooter inspired type game. But this seriously disappoints. It is vastly inferior in gameplay to Major Mayhem, and even falls short of games I have already discarded such as Heavy Weapons Deluxe in terms of pure gameplay. Which is a shame because the sprites, CRT filter, and the idea of having multiple modes, and the 4 way co-op, those were all features that were suggesting we had a winner on our hands.
Conclusion: Without handcrafted encounter design, granular controls, precise hitboxing, and robust input methods implementation that do not affect the gameplay. This is unfortunately a hard pass.

The game is relly fun with freinds sometimes i ran into a glitch that my health in shooting sections was not the same as my health in the map. But otherwise a pretty good game.

The first response I have is this game is made for consoles, which to be honest dosen't make this game bad it just needs some more improvements on the computer. The good thing it if you know how to set up controllers for steam and put your computer screen to your TV as well as have some friends to join you then you will have a blast. I still found it fun even with just the keyboard and my small computer screen, I just think it would be better with those elements in the mix. I liked the board inspired map idea and the turn base idea for this game. The little shooting parts brought this game alive. If you don't trust this review then feel free to check out my video! Neat idea, but the controls are terrible.
I feel as though this game couild be fuin, but the movement is just a little too slow, when i purchased this game, i was expecting a game that felt kinda like wildguns mixed with a game like risk. if the movement was a little more refined (i.e. maknig the dodge roll work on the press of the button instead of needing to hold it and change directions) then it could make this game a little more fun.
Gunman Tales is like one of those awesome arcade games in the corner of your favorite childhood pizza shop - only with truly beautiful pixel art, modern RPG-lite elements, and fantastic couch co-op action. I went in thinking that the best part would be the artwork, but I was wrong. There is some really fun gameplay and mechanics in here. Now, mind you, it's definitely on the arcade end of the spectrum, but overall this is great.
Essentially, you play against three other cowboys on the same single-screen map to see who outlives all the others. They can be AI or IRL players, and either way works well. You take turns cruising around the map gaining gear and leveling up. You can play a fun little card game to make a quick buck, buy new weapons, get healed, or trade with Native Americans. When you are ready to take down another player, you bump into them and go into a quick-draw sequence. It works very well. There is a final boss as well, to my delight.
Pros:
+While it's great in single player, this would be *crazy* fun in local play with 4 players
+The powerups all feel satisfying
+Simple to learn, and it keeps me coming back in short bursts
+The price point is good
+Definitely a fun achievement hunting game
+The pixel art is beyond gorgeous
Cons:
-It takes a little bit to get the feel for moving the cowboy and shooting; it looks twin-stick, but it's not
Great little indie arcade game. If you find yourself interested at the retro cowboy and Indian theme, give it a go.
