its really fun
Game is Mid. 7/10
An extreme slog in the beginning, but does get better as it goes on. The DLCs are pretty good.
If you like turning off your brain and just running around the world doing fetch quests, I would recommend on sale.

This game is just not good. As a massive One Piece fan its just not what you want for the only major open world one piece game on the market. The combat, movement and story are just not good or fun. A lot of go here go there missions. The only good thing I have found playing this game were the Zoro,and Law DLC's which were actually good. kinda. The Sabo DLC is terrible. I do Not recommend this game, instead if you want to play a one piece game play Pirate Warriors 4 or 3.
The game has an amazing foundation but fails to deliver. I had a lot of fun, after the first hour or so, now I think it helps that I enjoy One Piece. The combat is very wonky but gets better the more you play; there is no lock on, some moves make you stagger a bit, etc. The side missions are pretty repetitive, but I didn't mind it that much. I like the movement, but I wish it were "better". The story is fine. If you like One Piece then you should try it out, but wait for a sale.
Такое чувство, что сценаристов оригинального произведения к работе над игрой не пригласили, поэтому от игры за Луффи и от других персонажей такое чувство, что это совсем кто-то другой и другая история.
В общем, сценарий, диалоги, сюжет будто школьник 2-ого класса делал. Всё высосано из пальца, диалоги хуже чем если бы их ChatGPT писал. Следить за тем что и зачем говорят персонажи, никакого смысла нет, просто проматываешь всё.
Скакать по карте и собирать какие-то ракушки - прикольно. Но начинаешь чувствовать какое-то одиночество. Врагов мало, их интеллект ниже плинтуса, просторы большие, но смысла в них нет, ты просто бегаешь за какими-то бессмысленными целями, открываешь двери, это оказывается не та дверь... а в чем тут заключается игра-то?
Такое чувство, что разработчики забили на сюжет от слова совсем.

As a huge fan of one piece, this game is agonizingly boring. The combat is disgustingly stiff and clunky, the world is insufferably empty, the quests are all "go here. Go here. Go here." or just standard fetch quests. The one area I was excited to explore was the city, as the trailer featured Luffy swinging around it like Spider-Man, but the city is the worst area to be because for some reason they decided to have snipers everywhere that shoot you down if you're in the open for too long. You will NOT be flying around the city like the trailer because these guys have hitscan. I cannot recommend this game even to One Piece fans.

Very nice game but the pre order dlc bundle is not in the deluxe edition and the anisong pack isnt included either ... Just so you know.

its a GREAT game ive had lots of fun on it good graphics and good story i would 100% recomend the game to anyone especially one piece fans.
Has the makings of a good game though unfortunately there is too much of the jank a lot of licensed anime games suffer from. Extremely stiff and repetitive combat and slow slippery movement that if tweaked and fleshed out more would have been fun to play around with and the story needed a couple more plot beats to give it that side story feel the One Piece films have

Soo, if you enjoy One Piece as anime its ok but get it still from sale. Combat is good, many characters to meet. Story was kinda meh, didnt really enjoy it. DLCs are short but if you get it from sale they are worth getting. Achievements to 100% took nearly 50h and most of it was grinding skillpoints, not really enjoyable. Challenges were nice. 7½ / 10

The One Piece is not real :(
I really liked the game, but now its just laggy i hope it will become fixed later on, but i would but it if your deciding because i think the problem is my computer.
So in total i would recommend the game if you enjoy One Piece.
At first the game-play is a little slow and some of the mechanics such as getting sniped staggering you can be tedious to maneuver, but once you get enough in your skill tree, the game grows more depth in combat, feels better and really feels like a power trip. Super enjoyable.

Wilx100% (Jun 26, 2022) - It was fun little game, loved the fighting and the story was decent. Was was cool about it was that it was kinda like the Spider-man games where you can swing all over the city but more restricted in where you could swing, like if there was no where that Luffy could physically hang on to the its time for walking, but they are pretty abundant. Love the open world one piece games, cant wait for more. I would rate this a 7/10.
Cap. The reviews for this thing are objectively wrong. The game isn't good. Just like the anime I gave it a generous chance but unlike the anime, the game is bad.
The camera issue. My god... Here's how I fixed it. I had to play with a PS4 controller, I used DS4 Windows, click edit > axis config > scroll down to RS > change vertical scale to about 50 > Apply. > Then also go into steam, right click the game > click properties... > click controller > disable steam input. It's now playable on your controller only, don't try keyboard and mouse.
The writing feels like AI doing it's best. Like One Piece flavored generic video game. Luffy doesn't talk like that. Even Sanji showing up to simp over the new female character feels wrong. Sanji does not simp like this. It's just off. It's uncanny.
The gameplay/ world exploration isn't fun. It looks fun but it's just because Luffy looks like he's having a good time. He's struggling on the inside. Not good.
The combat is unforgivably lame.
The pros?
No, the pro singular is the art. Look at it. It's fantastic.
There are more cons. I'm not doing this in order. The price is nonsense. This is shovelware and should be closer to 19.99 and only bought by extreme One Piece completionists.
The side quests are somehow less fun than the usual fetch quests you get with RPGs. Protagonist! Please spare me 2 nonsense materials you've picked up and wondered what use they are. Oh you already have them? Terrific! I can continue my non-descript NPC task. Please take this other nonsense material with questionable use.
XP for unlocking barely useful stats or abilities you won't need to use is awarded at weird times. You can clear a military base or find every shiny blip on the map and you won't be given ♥♥♥♥ but kill one random enemy and they'll drop a few xp or keep playing through one of the story beats and you'll get a couple hundred. Grinding won't save you and worse you won't feel rewarded for your efforts.
Wait I thought of one more pro. The opening cinematic is actual gold. How cold was that rare Strawhat teamwork? They were like a well oiled Franky, systematically taking down a corrupt Navy operation. Chef's kiss my friends. I hate how much potential this game could have had because it fell on its face so hard.

The story is cool and very One Piece like and it's fun to see the world. Running around with Luffy, the view on top of high buildings and just jumping from place to place like the monkey he is xD
I like that other characters can be played and the stories of their view.

Great game and was really fun to play but I wish the game was longer and the extra episodes were longer. It would be nice if they could also add more episodes to play. But overall very fun.

Good game
It's a really fun game and even a better game if you are a one piece fan. However, trying to get all the achievements is a bit of a drag mostly trying to get enough points to get all the abilities. With all that being said I still had fun playing the game and beating up some bad guys. I give it a 8.2/10.
