DUE PROCESS is a tactical FPS where tactics finally matter. Planning & teamwork are essential for victory because every map is procedurally generated. You'll be faced with a new challenge every time you play.
Fresh maps make Due Process great. Levels are built in-house via a procedurally assisted level generation process and are delivered weekly via steam update, which means you won't be playing on the same stale level. Our level designers edit each level before it goes out and are constantly trying new concepts.
Teamwork starts with a goal. Discuss your strategy over voice chat, and use the planning phase to draw up a plan of attack. Deploy your assets wisely over the course of three rounds, as anything fielded from your armory won't come back if destroyed or lost.
No plan survives first contact. The plan is a start, but you're going to have to think on your feet and coordinate with your team when things go awry. Getting your teammate to open fire to cover your footsteps just might secure you the element of surprise.
Play as two distinct factions with radically different playstyles and capabilities. Asymmetric warfare at its finest.
A corporate military force contracted with enforcing indefinite martial law. Armed with the best tactical gear and weapons for a CQB environment. Speed, surprise, and violence of action are the essential elements of good execution. Once a plan is made, move forward with purpose, either by systematically eliminating the opposition room by room, or by striking swiftly at the heart of the defense.
A rag-tag band of outlaws who oppose the corporations by any means necessary. Their weapons and gear are relics and rudimentary, but are not to be underestimated. Cunning is their strength. Anticipate what the enemy is planning, then set up the kill zone. Lay traps, coordinate crossfire with your team, and exploit breaks in the attack to flank the enemy and bring a decisive end to the fight.

Fun game, I really like the map randomness, as a new player I feel like I got a chance against more veteran players, due to map knowledge not being a factor.
There are a few bugs here or there but nothing game-breaking or too distracting.
Would recommend!
surprisingly deep for how the game looks, i could see this being much bigger than it is if they can grow the playerbase.
Found this game by accident and it is awesome! It's 100% worth the price. Even though the player count is a bit low, you can still find matches at any time, sometimes you just need to wait a bit. We need to keep this community alive, because it would be a shame to let something this good die.
its really fun. please add more maps and weapons and util
Rainbow 6 but good
when i play R6 i feel nothing, i feel dead inside, but due process... due process reminds me im a living being, this game has actual soul and even when my team is being beaten into the ground i still find it fun and funny
Great game, everything I have been wanting in a tac shooter. Map generation keeps it fresh, community polite, cool economy/armoury system which is way more immersive than a menu
This game is the R6 I WISH I was playing and I hope this game gets a lot more attentions because it's really great. Also, it being playable on Linux is great to me since I recently switched and I ised to play R6 A LOT and this hits the sweet spot and more.
I generally wanted to like this game, but I ultimately couldn't. It's way too convoluted, the gunplay was meh, you couldn't tilt, and the matches were too long for my liking. And while it did remind me of Siege and Breachers, it just didn't scratch the itch I was looking for. All in all, my expectations weren't met, which generally sucks because this is a good game, but I know damn well I'm not playing it. I even went as far as to try it on my Steam deck, but the controller controls weren't compatible :(
The game is still in early access, so I'm gonna be optimistic in its future
but for now, not so much...
For $2.50 I am truly amazed by what this game just offered. Even at $10 full price I would buy. It can run on a tin can and still be capped for frames. Game play feels as good as it can get with no de-sync (I'm talking chefs kiss for the US servers). Concussions are intense and practical. Weapon mechanics are pretty phenomenal. Only thing missing are more players!!! Don't get me wrong, ques are seconds instead of minutes on end with ~200 players online. Even the current player base has been a blast to game and laugh with. There's even high level players that are chill and willing to help out answer questions you may have. Crazy to see that in a FPS these days outside of mil-sims. Haven't made it to ranked games but NR matches are still competitive with planning and coordination when you have a solid group.
Play with friends if you can at the start. Also avoid AI games and just hop into NR. The AI is nutty NGL. You can work together and not feel overwhelmed with the initial game play options and flow as I could imagine some solos possibly do with no return back.
Don't waste utility! It will make the last rounds too predictable for counters. Learned this the hard way unfortunately...
Understand the placement of each weapon and their ammo on planning phase. You can swap to a different platform and not even realize you forgot the one thing it needs before time is up. From the wise words of Cypress Hill - "When tha shit goes down ya better be ready (ya better be ready)"
Weapons only roll over into the next round if you stay alive but this also applies to the bomb exploding if round time expires.
We also met a guy named STREEET DOGGGGG. He was a hoot, watch out for that crazy guy! He might make your sides hurt.
10/10 - money well spent and then some for day one
This game is actually sick, me and a buddy hopped on and played AI for a bit, the AI is tough. We went to unranked and had a blast. We were getting instant Q's at 11pm on a weeknight. Seeing alot of the same players but it was super enjoyable honestly. If you have FPS background you will come into the gunfights pretty naturally. Gun play felt good, game runs like a CHAMP.
Game tips:
Don't waste utility! It does NOT replenish until you swap from attack to defender.
Put barbwire a little far away from the breaches so if they do use explosives, your barbwire stays up
You can really effectively help your team after you die by watching the map and giving them info
Flash Bangs are REALLY good
Hip fire/Brace Fire are also really good
Work with your teamates on a pregame plan
Dont be afraid to split up for breaching to pinch the defenders
That was all we learned on day one, game is definitely worth the money IMO
Terrific semi-casual tac shooter, great for sweats wanting a game that is a little lighter and sillier. Tight, quick-playing, and it has some fun customization. It deserves all the success it gets, and there's still loads of depth even without super deep map knowledge, because the map chunks have some fun little quirks that are worth learning for repeat games. 2v2 is a little funky but the core mode is loads of fun. Team Giant Enemy Crab all the way.
Very fun game that I personally think is better than Rainbow Six Siege (i have like 2500 hours in that btw)
This shows lots of potential and the biggest Green Flag for me is EVERYTIME I DIE, i KNOW WHY
It has the proper emphasis on perfect coordination and tactics.
the game is very unbalance , certain gun do less damage point black far rage , Shotgun are 1 shooting from across the map , dont get the game 0/10 would recommend
Great game for a couple bucks. Wish it was more active. love the style
man this game is just such a rug pull I can't imagine every having actually bought this game like all the reviews said it was a rug pull and that it never gets updates and man they're right updates are very very sparse being weeks apart sometimes days this really gets on my nerves man its like the devs dont care to update their game I cant believe it
Very underrated game. Devs have stuck with it. Cheap and fun, what more do you want?
This is a fun little shooter with a good amount of depth, and the progression-based system for getting cosmetics is a really nice touch in a field of paid knife skins and other nonsense. Even beyond grinding for outfits, I like trying different tactics and weapons to see what I can do better and how I can make smarter use of the maps. Having only bought the game a few weeks ago, I appreciate that the maps are procedurally generated, so I'm not up against veterans who have memorized the ins and outs of a map, we're all just rolling with what we were dealt.
Game is very fun like a faster paced R6 (and CS) with more planning and communication required. BUT it needs some major improvements to be even considered close to full release.
First off, the on-boarding/tutorial is very lacking in depth. If u want to get the game in its current state be prepared to have to figure out how the game works through YouTube videos because what's currently implemented teaches the bare BARE minimum... Another to add to that is the toxicity. In my first ever matches I was harassed repeatedly for the smallest errors, which doesn't help very much when still trying to learn the game. To add on to that, since the servers are so small you will be queued with those people again and again and again. Throughout my gameplay there's been constant server issues, frequent abandons from teammates (Not the ones leaving for ranked), and getting TK'd because I didn't follow the plan exactly to a T. To top it all off, is the astoundingly bad optimization. For a game that with such a low requirement for specs and I still can't get above 60fps in 1% lows and 100fps avg on LOW settings is baffling. Optimize your game.
Other than all of that, It would be nice to see some additions such as a Ping Wheel that is more than 'Q' for *Ping Here*, Attacker Customization (there's like 10 things compared to the 100s that DEF gets), A tab that shows all the ranks so you see each rank that you'll progress through/or have already and not just an obnoxiously large leader board.
There are some great changes from other popular FPS games but regrettably, in its current state, no I don't recommend you buy the game *Unless you get it with a hefty discount*. I wanted to give this game a positive review but there's just WAY too much that needs to be fixed before I can recommend it.
absolute great concept for a game, feels like what r6 should have been. gun play feels good ,maps being randomly generated keeps things fresh and community being overall very nice is what i can say positively about this game. unfortunately the player base is steadily declining and it gets harder and harder to find a match.
Perfect game for the Friend who only has a Laptop for work and doesnt want to spent tooo much time playing video games.
- It runs on a Laptop
- Its not too complicated
-Its doesnt cot 70 Euros
Very inventive tactical shooter that needs more players
100 hours racked up… I finally feel it’s time for me to lay out my thoughts on Due Process. This is an exceptionally cool shooter that stands out in a genre rife with unoriginality and predatory marketing. Due Process is by no means well-polished, and has a steep learning curve, but beneath a rough exterior is an incredibly lovable and rewarding shooter, that capitalizes by delivering on a fantasy sold to you by another (nameless) shooter, that they couldn’t provide, but Due Process can.
Before I say anymore, I think it’s important to address the elephant in the room. Due Process will probably never be “finished”. I’ve played many iterations of Due Process, from the 2019 alpha testing and on. Before the most recent resurgence (brought on by volunteer developers breathing new life into the game (credit where it’s due, Giant Enemy Crab did give them the reins) which also coincided with two of the biggest sales the game has ever seen), the game was in cryostasis for about two whole years. The game is not back to full normal development. It’s in a bit of an iterative, incremental improvement state. That’s worth knowing if you’re considering buying the game, but I’ll go on the record saying this game deserves your purchase despite that big caveat.
Due Process delivers on its promise made in the trailer. There is an extensive planning phase, even in unranked, and using that time effectively matters. Despite gun skill being important, effective planning and methodical execution dominate the game except for at the very highest level. Your ability to digest maps, draw lines, mark corners, and use sound will drastically improve your ability to succeed, moreso than any other game in this space. Procedurally assisted map generation was a complete stroke of genius, and it’s an incredible part of not only this game, but this genre as a whole. But the tactical satisfaction does not end there.
Tactical depth is not limited to map understanding, but also includes weapon selection. In Due Process you have a rack of weapons, shared between all members of your team, for the duration of your rounds on that side. What this means is that great gameplay involves not only ensuring your team brings a variety of weapon types and utility for the appropriate strategy you’ve chosen, but also to think ahead about what you may want on ensuing rounds, provided you either win or lose. In essence, a game that does not have “buying” and “saving” in a strict sense, incorporates this tactical element in a unique and powerful way. It’s brilliant!
Overall I think weapon and utility selection is nearly perfect. I think Argus needs 1 other sidearm (just for variety purposes), and maybe the total number of weapons/utility on each side could be reduced by just like one or two? I felt the game used to incentivize careful thought about weapon and utility usage a little more, and now it’s not so rewarded/punished, but I don’t think it’s greatly hurting the game.
Aesthetically I think Due Process is outstanding, although animations are a little stiff. Environments, characters, guns, and lighting I think are all cohesive and enjoyable. And even though this game has more team-killing by new players than almost any shooter I think I’ve ever played, I think this is probably not as heavily due to the defender outfit customization as much as players being overwhelmed by all the information to take in.
I like the sounds of the game, especially the soundtrack, and I think sound is a reliable tool in the game, but I do feel it is very… flat? It lacks a kind of dynamism that would really elevate this to a whole new level. Late-round just listening to two people walking around while you’re dead kind of takes you out of the immersive high-tension gameplay because it just sounds a bit bland. Other features would be a proper custom lobby and spectator.
All the “passes” (if that’s even the best term for it) are free, and they progress through at good pace, which is why I alluded to before about other games being very predatory. Due Process is decidedly not like this.
The game’s single largest issue is the frequency of bugs. Characters spawning in improperly, lobbies never loading, characters not falling when dead and instead just A-posing in place, making hit-reg sounds when no hit actually happened, clipping through walls revealing your position…
These things are not so infrequent that you can overlook them. You really have to love Due Process to work through them. And for new players, who may feel overwhelmed and confused by the game’s complicated nature, the bugs can be a nail, or nails, on a coffin. It’s easy to overlook bugs once you’ve already come to appreciate and love a game’s great depth and satisfaction beneath the surface, but if you’re not immediately in love with the concept and the presentation, these things will turn away many players (as they already have).
I worry about the staying power of Due Process. I don’t really like talking about this kind of thing, especially in the indie-game space, but when you’re talking about a multiplayer FPS, it’s kind of necessary. I don’t see the game continues to generate revenue for Giant Enemy Crab and also continue to retain players in this space.
Again, though, I think Due Process has done enough to earn a purchase. If you give the game a shot, and really try to get into the planning, the strategy, and understanding how it works, you will be greatly satisfied. If for no other reason, you should listen to my review and pull the trigger because there may not be a better time to pick this up and game than right now/the past month.
Things are stellar now. The music is awesome, the players are fun to game with, the maps are cool, the guns are diverse, the visuals are engaging, and Due Process really just delivers on a tactical FPS fantasy that no other game delivers on.
8.5/10
One of the best PvP tactical shooters on the market. Don't let the arcade style graphics fool you, this game is all about planning and execution of a well thought out plan! Spread the word and grow the community!
Very satisfying game with real tactics. The planning phase and procedurally generated maps keep every match fresh. Other shooters get very sweaty but this is more relaxed because of its unpredictable nature. It really pushes you to think and adapt on the fly. Other shooters have been boiled down to a science so this feels like a new frontier. Using a microphone is a must and makes the game significantly more fun coordinating with your team so please get and use one. This may be a con to some but it's a big pro for me. Get into it.
Loading screen between rounds really introduces alot of downtime, i feel like i spend more time staring at menus than I do actually playing the game.
This game is fun, I keep thinking I'll get bored of it because on the face of it it's pretty simple but it keeps pulling me back in.
Wish there was the option to change the prep time/game time so you can play a more considered assault instead of rushing through. Other than that, it's the chaos of Seige but without the sweats. Worth playing if you like a solid assault/defend game.
If the devs are listening, implement the above and you have a top notch game!! Really enjoyed it with my group!
the only other tac shooter I've played is counter strike, and I'm like pretty crap at it. I'm crap at this too, but it's still fun and hasn't ever felt like a steamroll in the matches I've played, pretty flippin enjoyable game
edit: plus i dont know how it happened but the community and the teams every single match have been just chill and nice, which is insane for a tac shooter isnt it?
Unique gameplay. Dead game love its back go love Battalion 1944 that games used to slap but the devs are yucky yucky bad guys
Game is unbalanced with corner campers on defense absolutely destroying attackers. Devs will kick people for drawing penises on the map post game. 0/10
[b]Punch Shooting - Great Artstyle - Creative Spins on an Established Genre - Good Price - Enjoyable Amount of Content[b]
This game is awesome. Its like if Rainbow Six was made by people who enjoyed making games and didnt want to milk you dry of every penny you own.
Very fun game, the tutorial should really tell you how to play though. It just gives you targets to shoot at basically and so your first game in your a goner
The game is really good but sadly I can't recommend it, at least to people outside the US because there are only US servers right now. It's just impossible to play with over 200 ping in SEA.
Its really solid, theres a surprising amount of people with mics with who have all been really nice. biggest thing thats missing in my opinion is a lack of trash talking the enemy team. PLEASE LET ME YELL AT THE OTHER TEAM IM BEGGING YOU. I want to yell at people to stop resisting itd be so funny. otherwise this is a fun team shooter
Great game. It emphasizes using your brain and gun play. Graphics aren't everything game design and mechanics are huge. Wish it had a large player base it deserves it.
Feels like they took all the good parts from CSGO and Siege and put it into the same game and took out the bad parts of each of them as well
Due Process stands out as one of the only competitive games I've played that truly scratches that itch of strategy, gunplay, and total sauce into one cohesive package.
For $10, it is a complete steal.
This game is so much fun.
People are FRIENDLY and COOPERATIVE in this game.
No map knowledge like Rainbow six: Siege due to random map generation, leading to more balanced fights.
Far, far fewer sweats who have played for 1000+ hours like Siege.
So many fun map variations from the map generation.
2D top down view prep phases map allows for quick and efficient understanding of the map layout.
Map colour lets you understand what areas visually look like, rather than seeing all rooms in the same colour like floor plan a blueprint.
Fun arcade style gameplay.
Easy to get into. Intuitive UI.
Gameplay depth via the economy of taking items, attackers took their Night vision last round and lost them? Turn out the lights as the defenders and illuminate the entrances with flares. As attackers, do you use breach charges to push from multiple angles now or save them for a different map?
Great art style with sci-fi aesthetic.
Planning is incentivised by giving XP for placing markers (game prevents just spamming markers for XP)
Unlocks are cosmetic and frequent so that you feel rewarded. Branching unlocks so that you can prioritise getting what you want.
One of the coolest main menu start screens of all time, the city backdrop and music are something else.
Play it, you owe it to yourself.
really fun and unique game.
epic.........................
Due Process is the only Competitive FPS that will respect your time and your money. (At least compared to R6S.)
No constant addition of more content for you to either buy outright or spend comical numbers of hours to grind out.
No pixel peeks and grenade angles to memorize putting long time players high above your skill level.
Aim and gamesense is all Due Process asks of you.
I couldn't be happier seeing this thing get revived from the dead for even a moment.
This game is really awesome, but whats really killing it for me is my massive skill issue.
Whats really weird is that I can't hear anyone RUNNING to my room from the room next to me. So I end up dying and I'm like, man if this game had Rainbow six siege audio, it would be so great.
And also queuing for coop is like fighting 10 Terminators. There is no way to change the difficulty so its just straight up not fair at all. You have 0.1 seconds to react to a enemy thats either in your face, or far away. It is not fun at all.
I bought the game during the $1 sale and I'm just on a massive lose streak right now too. I guess thats what happens when you buy a game on sale and not on release.
But I have to give it to whoever made this game, it has so much charm to it, and I think its overall better than Rainbow Six siege, its just if it had their audio it would be amazing.
Gearing up for an attack in a van makes me feel like a badass. I was also surprised how big the bomb explosion is when the game ends. It looked really cool. And also being able to draw on the map to plan your attack... so cool man. Great game.
Fun alternative to Siege. with out the operators.
Map knowledge isn't needed which is nice cause this way you can just pick up and play when ever.
It's amazing. The tactical shooter that actually requiers yo uto develop a plan (Shocking, right!?), and has no bullcrap movement mechanics, such as corner peaking. The community is friendly, and the devs are amazing.
The game is made in unity, that means that it does not suffer from fps drops Unreal Engine has.
Plus, the weapons are actually fun to use (Unlike some other tactical shooter from Ubi***t)
Also, DEVS, PLEASE READ THIS: THE GAME NEEDS ONLY 9 GB OF STORAGE, WHY ARE 30GB LISTED ON THE STORE PAGE?
It´s a R6 Siege like game, but actually amusing to play.
Needs a few quality of life fixes, then it´s perfect
This game is really cool, deserves the chance to be all it can be definitely recommend. At 89 cents on the sale right now its absolutely worth at the very least trying it out.
really fun game for the price. short tactical fun, and fairly simple, the random map aspect keeps the skill floor low as there is no map specific stuff to memorize.
Such an awesome game at its current point. VOIP is like a necessity but the community in casual matches be really nice and cool. Not toxic like siege or cs go. Please devs keep this game alive!!! Yall really have something special here!
Most enjoyment I've ever had in a tactical shooter, if you can even call it that, it's more arcadey and honestly thats nothing even close to a bad thing. Amazing game and glad its somewhat alive again
Firstly dont listen to the negative reviews. It has amazing procedural generation and a hell of a lot of strategy and fun to come out of this game. Defo recommend doing customs with friends. If you dont have friends you can easily make some in this loving community.
Honestly a hidden gem. This game is fun, tactical, has a cool take on the "defender/attacker" genre and has free BPs!
It does lack customization for the "attackers" which is kinda sad and it does have some performance hiccups here and there (and no way to cap framerate), but those are literally the only cons.
In summary, totally worth it!
