Massive time waster that forces you to grind research before even being able to play the game on max speed. The early levels are tiny, and your overall income is therefore halted from proper growth. This would be no issue if all the levels were self contained challanges, but this game wants you to grind upgrades to carry on in the next level, which means staring at your screen whilst being unsure how much time need to be wasted before going to the next level. The missions are not suited either, like have one that expects you to collect trash from a full trash can ten times, on a map with less than 30 people and almost no space for a food and beverage dispenser.
I also find it annoying how few things there are to do in the early levels. Not only do you waste the msot time on them, you also are teased with all the cool stuff down the line that you just can't fit in your current room. What is the point of getting a special machine when I have no room for it? The economy of the game is brain dead and the trends seem like a mere placebo. This game has no respect for your free time. So I can't recommend this title.
Game is somewhat nice and not so nice but I am still playing it though.
I was positively impressed when I started playing for the first time. The game is really relaxing and fun as well. It is also quite educational for anyone who would like to learn more about how the world works.

Going into negative debt can quickly spiral out of control, so buy only what will support your growth, not what looks tempting at first glance.
Another vital element is completing objectives and contracts. They’re not just for progress—they unlock valuable rewards and finance options that can make or break your arcade’s success. As you grow, you’ll naturally need more staff and machine upgrades to keep your customers happy. Keeping that balance between expanding and managing what you already have is where the challenge lies.
The campaign mode is an exciting test of your management skills, filled with fun but challenging scenarios. But if you ever feel like taking a break from the intensity, the sandbox mode lets you build at your own pace for a more relaxed experience.

I bought this game quite a while ago and somehow managed to play it for 18.4 hrs. It's a grind but wasn't unpleasant. I got bored today and decided to give it a replay. Wtf. This used to be an entirely point-and-click game, like most Tycoon games. Optional hot keys are fine, but you're forcing me to use both hot keys and the mouse, switching back and forth to get through the menus?
I'm sorry, but this is the most annoying interface redesign I've ever seen. It went from being a game that I might want to play now and then, to a game that I find absolutely irritating to even do the simplest of tasks. The main menus use the arrow keys, but then you need to use the mouse to interact with those menus. This jumping back and forth is just so unnecessary. What was the issue with having a button to click for, say, the trash picker tool? It's something I use frequently but I don't want a hot key for it at all.
Unless the devs go back to point-and-click as an option, the game isn't worth my time. I'm fine with the endless grinding but not if I also have to readjust my hands every time I want to buy a machine for my arcade. I also find the floating hot key reminders very irritating visually while playing, and some of them were nearly unreadable as well. I had to get my face like 3 inches from the screen to see what they were during the tutorial.
I wouldn't have bought the game in the first place if the screenshots showed all these hot key menus because I know that it's something I like as an option in Tycoons (for particular things that I personally want to use frequently), but in this case, it's badly done and not optional at all.
So fun! A hidden gem of a tycoon that is exactly what I look for. Simple yet detailed. The art style is fun and the game play is great! Lots to do and fun Champaign to run through! A must for tycoon type fans! 9/10
TLDR: Fun game to play in your spare time. Especially if you're into managing stuff and handling things ur way.

Arcade Tycoon is a simulation game where you play as the manager of an arcade that you own. Create your own personal arcade center, purchase multiple kinds of arcade machines or any kind of game you can find, manage your grumpy old man staff and many more.
While playing the game, I found out that the game is more focused on the management stuff and not on the game side. So the full niche of the game would be revolving around how you can manage an arcade studio without getting a negative margin. I got a huge nostalgic feeling playing the game because I can see myself playing rollercoaster tycoon all over again. Once again, I know it’s a management game, but I really want to get to know more about the game stuff and not the management stuff. I feel like the game forces us to learn management more than the game in itself. This can be a double edged sword since people play a game to have fun and destress. It would not make sense if the game is too complicated right from the start.
For the price of $14.99, It’s not really worth it for me. Learning curve is very high and the way to get good in the game is really tedious (since you need to actually learn the mechanics of the game).To progress in the game, the requirement to unlock stuff is really hard. Getting all those stars within the game is really tedious and slow if you only start playing. My suggestions would be making it starting strong then progressively getting slower.Slow pace would make the player lose interest in no time.
Artstyle wise, there is really nothing I can actually pick on or complain about since the game revolves around creating a successful arcade. If I really want to, the only problem I can see is how the space is too little to build many kinds of stuff on the provided space. To be fair, I’ve tried the campaign mode and the sandbox mode. There is a clear difference between those two where campaigns have small and limited space. This would in turn make the player think that the game only provides small land and there is no way to upgrade the size of the arcade. Audio wise, I have nothing to pick on at all. I love every single bit of it.
There are some notable points I saw while playing the game. I list it below:
Bugs:
Q and E button is switched. Visually it says Q to right and E to left. But in reality, the game actually does Q for left and E for right.
Inconvenience:
In the game, it shows that to continue you need to press “enter”. While it’s not actually a problem, there are some parts that you can use left click to do the same things as the “enter” button.
When saying there is another thing you need to do, it would be better to pinpoint on the target you choose so that it is easier to notice. Such as turning the ticket machine on in the tutorial.
Suggestions:
Game seems a little too slow for progressing. You can create and manage your arcade store and all but to progress you can use the mission bounty and the research stuff. Both have their own difficulties that need to be balanced a little.
Game seems repetitive after some time. Especially since the upgrading system is locked in the research system.
