Trapped at a never ending office Christmas party for WEEKS by militant holiday fanatics, you're forced to grab what weapons you can and fight your way out.
Blast through 21 increasingly difficult levels, leaving nothing but a trail of bodies behind you. Shoot bad guys until you run out of ammo, then throw your gun in their face and beat them to death with a baseball bat. Then maybe even take their shotgun and murder their friends! It's all very much in the holiday spirit.

This game is amazing, everyone should play it. The only thing I don't like is the awful music, but you can mute it.
take out the pent up rage you have on suspecting employees
Pros:
+ Very addicting and fun
+ Fast-paced, skill-based gameplay
+ Slightly randomized yet consistent level setups
+ Stylish and well-polished
+ Different playstyles to beat each level with for 100% completion
Cons:
- Misleading trailer - see below
- Probably far too difficult for less experienced players
- All levels share the same repetitive visual theme
- No leaderboards or even personal-best times
- No story of any sort; not that it needs one though
Be advised: the trailer is rather misleading. You might be under the impression that you'd be jumping around in slowmo shooting enemies left and right John Wick style. That is not the case. First of all, slowmo is an optional cheat that disables progression. But most importantly, every enemy dies to a single hit, and so do you. Enemies have ridiculous reaction times, perfect aim, and speed faster than even your own. What you're actually going to be doing is dying a lot on every single level until you learn its layout well enough to avoid being killed instantly and pull off a nearly perfect run. Only with a significant experience at this game along with perfect knowledge of every level you'll be able to do what the developer does in the trailer. Don't walk into this thinking you'd be performing all sorts of cool slowmo stunts from get-go.
That being said, given what the game really is I found it to be a ton of fun. I'm a sucker for fast-paced FPS games and this one is great for a player like me. Even though you die a lot on each level, every death feels fair. Every death is very clearly your own fault and that allows you to gradually refine your skill and map knowledge. It's also incredibly addicting; it's hard to quit the game because of the constant "one more try, one more try!" feeling.
Each level features three challenges: beat it only using melee weapons, beat it only using guns, and beat it under a predefined amount of time. Each of these challenges requires a different approach and an adjusted playstyle. Discovering the strategies to complete all of those challenges is pretty much the core concept of the game and it's a lot of fun.
My only real gripe is that the visuals are very repetitive. The first and the final levels and all the ones in between share the same theme. I really wish there was some variation to it, maybe blue-wall offices later on or something. Also the game features no leaderboards and does not even track your own personal-best times for each level thus voiding the replayability beyond 100% completion. Finally, be aware that it does not use Steam Cloud so your progress won't sync (though it's trivial to transfer the save file which is located in its installation directory).
I blame this game for my lack of sleep
basically a bunch of hotline miami 1 levels remade in 3d with an office theme
it's fun but gets boring and repetitive after a while
Games like Max Payne and Superhot let you feel like a badass by using slow motion as a crutch, but this game lets you feel like a badass in real time.
Hope you got your new car, Mike.
Its Hotline Miami 3D with metal for the music, 4 tracks and I have them all downloaded.
Overall, the game looks better on the steam store then it really is. IMO the character movement is way to fast for the environment, especially when trying to peek around corners and plan your move without the enemy noticing you. All weapons are one hit kill and the holiday fanatics have perfect accuracy which gets old. If you like playing the same level over and over and over again then this games for you. Requested Refund
As the description says FPS Hotline Miami. Every level is well crafted and the snowflakes give them a lot of depth - how you traverse through a level limited to melee weapons is completely different from being restricted to guns or a set amount of time. It stays challenging, deaths rarely feel like the game's fault and the weapon rng adds more flavor than fustration.
Ridiculously addictive, fun, fast pace and challenging! Definitely worth the $8 USD. I don't even get mad like I do with other games when I die (cuphead, dark souls, etc). It's just funny. Christmas brutality with some metal backing music.
PROS:
Fast addictive gameplay, but maybe a little too fast?
Strongest "one more time" feeling since Super Meat Boy
Gunplay feels surprisingly good, and incredibly satisfying
Tons of different ways to complete everything. There's no "right" solution. Most people will have their own strat for each level, and I absolutely love that.
Enough content to make the $10 price tag well worth it
CONS:
Deaths feel a little unfair at times
Dumb complaint, but the loading screen doesn't last long enough to read some of the tips, and many of those tips give crucial knowledge. Maybe a separate screen somewhere that lists the important ones?
You can easily see if guns on the ground have ammo, but you can't easily see if the gun you're holding has ammo.
No leaderboards unfortunately.
Overall, Season's Beatings is an extremely fast-paced yet strategic first-person shooter that toes the line between frustrating and fun.
Good ol' fun & fast-paced murder.
I appreciate that the first level is the second floor of The Metro.
