The game is a classic platform game where the player walks and jumps his/her way through the levels and whacks enemies in the head with a club. Points can be collected by both whacking enemies and collecting items (including food, diamonds, video games, etc.). The levels contain hidden food items which can be discovered by hitting the right spots with the club.

This game is my absolute childhood favorite. I've been playing it ever since I knew how to handle a computer. For anyone looking to play an exciting platform game with loads of interesting animals, locations, items as well as plenty of hidden easter eggs will love this game. It is a challenge at first but once you get used to it, absolutely addictive!
Good Old Times!!! One of the best games ever!!!
I used to play this so much on my 286 back in the day.
It still stands up today with it's colourful visuals and funny animations.
It's surprisingly challenging and has a lot of secrets.
That said, it does not merit the full price as it's essentially an emulated ROM.

I still recall this game from when I was eight, ambar screen, a keyboard that required hitting, 8-bit sound. at the time I thought it was the best game in (pre)history... and you know what? it's still amazing!

30 years later it's still better than most of the games in that genre.

Prehistorik 2, if you know it you know it. I love this game but I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.
I wish there would be some Steam achievements for this game. I love it so much, my favorite game of this genre, incredibly many secrets, shortcuts of levels and all such stuff. I was playing it A LOT when I was a kid back in 90s. Was even playing it blitz, was finishing it in something like 12 or 13 minutes. Was not playing it probably 15 or even 20 years before now and was not remembering where to go in many levels, but astonishingly my fingers are still just knowing what to do and I've managed to finish it in first attempt in 26 minutes after all these years of not playing.

Yay! The game of my childhood is avaliable on Steam! I was a little kid when my dad showed me this game and i still cannot believe that he always beated that ugly monkey so easily :(
Why do i love Prehistoric 2?
- bright colors and really good pixel graphics: bears, spiders and all the other foes are soooo cute;
- easy gameplay: you need to push only 5 buttons to move and fight;
- tons of secrets (hit every single pixel to get everything), etra 'pig level' with a hilarious background.
This game is wonderful for 1992 (and for me)!
My childhood, it was my first video game.
