You don't even hunt any antiques and all the puzzles are just guessing games, or maybe i'm dumb. I guess both can be true.
...The day has come.
This is an FPSC game that is worth money (maybe not as much as this one is charging as the game is a little boring) but as a work in FPSC, this is without question the smoothest most fleshed out & thought out experience I have ever had in an FPSC game on Steam or any other service for money or free.
The environments are nice looking (for FPSC), the environment is well lit, there is in-game music, the load times weren't absolute trash & although it did try & crash on me during a level transition, it did recover and load the next level which I've never had happen before in FPSC,
The gameplay is kind of basic so far; switch puzzles, get keys, pull levers, jump spikes etc only 3 levels deep so far so it may get more complex but the fact that this title succesfully loaded 3 seperate levels in a single run in a wholly pleasant FPSC gaming experience is such a praiseworthy thing that I had to write something immediately.
Genuinely stunned, this is a title that while a kind of basic gameplay experience, displays a level of competence in other areas that manages to rise above the most garbage game engine. I cannot believe how not disappointed I am at paying $7.50 for an FPSC game, game developer to watch just for that alone.
I still loathe FPSC, it is trash garbage, but this is a solid title.
For the price though (I'll update if it gets more complex, but I'm skeptical how far even this person can push FPSC in terms of gameplay without it crumbling under any display of talented design) it may only be for the people who like me, never thought this day would come.
Updates:
- Full hour of playtime & many attempts to force a wall clip before I could get this to crash, usually that takes a few minutes if not seconds.
- The in-game music slows down when you go underwater which is quite a nice unexpected effect.
- The gameplay is still go through these corridors jumping spikes & pressing switches to go through more doors but solid 80fps and an FPSC game that has many doors & yet doesn't make me press Enter to Interact.
