I absolutely loved this game. It was quite challenging at times, but the story was compelling and it was fun to try and connect it to Rusty Lake Hotel. Unfortunately, while I know for a fact I got several achievements, they're not showing in Steam so that's a bit disappointing, but otherwise it was a ton of fun!
Another addition to the Rusty Lake series - I encountered some issues using a controller on the steam deck where long clicks not reacting as I expected, but Rusty Lake Paradise had more levels, more puzzles, and even weirder than the last and it was an incredibly fun game to play.

Accidentally messed up making the perfect burger for the achievement because I didn't realize I had the cheese equipped. HAD TO RESTART THE LEVEL AND IT PISSED ME OFF!

It's a pretty good game. Manages to creep me out once per level. However, I had to use a walkthrough about 6-7 times. Some of the puzzles are too hard.
Great game. Had a good time going back and getting all the achievements.
Another "fun" trip to the lake.

The puzzles were fun and enjoyable as always. The story, on the other hand, was a bit obscure to me. I am not quite sure what is going on. I am going to need to wrap my head around trying to figure out what actually happened there. Overall, it was great!
SPOILER: Also, I jumped a bit at fireflies scene. Why was that scary!?
Paradise would not exist without great sacrifice.
This too appears to be a prequel, perhaps even to Rusty Lake: Roots itself, from the Rusty Lake developers. The theme of this entry in the series makes references to the 10 biblical plagues visited upon Egypt.

Rusty Lake stuff is always a 10/10 for me.
I love rusty lake
Some of the puzzles took me way too long to figure out, making the game seem to drag on. But it was still a very interesting and fun game!
Although I did not care for the way you have to click through the forest so much to get to the different areas, I have played all Rusty Lake games and this is another good one.

ONE OF MY FAVOURITE GAMES!! it may have not been the first rusty lake game i played, but i've genuinely gotten attached to this one in particular. i love david. he's a good character, the only one i'd defend with my life. sure the game might get a little confusing at times, but it's a wonderful game.
First, I'd like to address the developers. Hang tight to see my review below.
Rusty Lake- You have done it again. You have created a morbidly fascinating (and FANTASTIC) gruesome, horror game using basic and simple storybook style graphics and I am ALL FOR IT. (Granted, this game is now like 6 years old. Lol.)
I played "Rusty Lake Hotel" completely with 100 percent completion/achievements, and decided to purchase this title as well as one of the others. I can honestly say that I have NEVER seen an indie game developer create such mind blowing "tales" and "puzzles." Most of the time when I am playing I am thinking "oh that's going to give me nightmares" and "oh wtf" "That's... too creepy and I love it." KUDOS 10/10 once again for all of the indie puzzle game lovers!
As for my review- Do not expect much from this game. If you do not like puzzle games, don't waste your time. It involves solving "riddle" type situations such as finding a key to unlock a certain door and figuring out how to acquire the key etc. The characters barely move. It's all up to you to figure out what to do. Along the way, a fantastic horror story unfolds. I am not finished with this game yet, but I can already tell it is going to continue to be great. It can be confusing, but it's actually quite simple to earn all of the achievements if you pay attention and use your brain to solve the mystery. Please note that there are plenty of achievement guides and walk-throughs available online for any Rusty Lake game, so don't be afraid if you get stuck! With this particular title, we revisit 10 plagues of Egypt. Each plague you can play through multiple times if needed, to gain all of the achievements. You should be able to obtain full completion within 4 hours if you are working with a guide. Without it, it could take a little longer but it is a lot of fun for the people who enjoy problem solving.
The artwork in this game is simple, but I absolutely love it. The backgrounds I've dropped from the previous game/from crafting my badges have been phenomenal and creepy as hell. Well done, well done WELL DONE. I look forward to playing the other Rusty Lake games!

Been playing Rusty Lake games for the last 8-10 years since i first found them and i love it more every time i play something new from them.
12/10 would recommend.
I'd recommend this game just because it's more Rusty Lake, but I can really tell how much of an improvement the games have had since this one came out.
The late game feels really phoned in a lot of the time, with more obtuse or obscure puzzles.
I love that they've got a "Walkthrough" button but I wish it wasn't just a link to a Youtube video as to me I don't think that gives me as good of an experience as a text walkthrough would give.

Another great addition from what's becoming my favourite puzzle mystery game series. My previous complaints still stand though with having to tediously swap back and forth between some puzzle screens rather than having a log. Also for some reason you can't fullscreen this game amongst some of the others. Brilliant stuff though
Interesting game , top 3 in the series for me
This is probably my first middle of the road rating for one of these games.
There is a lot of repetition throughout the Rusty Lake / Cube Escape series, but this was a bit up there. I never felt entirely challenged by the puzzles as once again, they were mostly stuff I've seen and done before. Like roots, this was mostly a lore game, though even to that degree it was a bit out there.
This one left me mostly just confused. I was confused about where to progress at times, and confused as to what was really going on. This is a common occurrence throughout the series, though it was at its heaviest here. I'm torn on if this was a worthwhile dive or not. Honestly, I'm leaning towards yes just from a fan perspective.
If you're not already invested into this series, then you're not missing out on much.

好玩 就喜欢这种诡异的氛围 只是第九关太难了 没攻略过不去 但其他都满简单好玩的 特别喜欢这系列！
Very nice and complicated game
Terrible. The puzzles are incredibly tedious, boring and frustrating. There is one puzzle where you have to frog over all lily pads and mark down which lily pads are connected to others, because apparently showing you this persistently is too taxing on the developer. I loved some of the other installments in the series, but this one is easily the worst.

One of my favourite puzzle games, ever
Mysterious death brings eldest son back and everyone on the island experiences the ten plagues of Egypt. But there might be a connection between the Eilanders and Vanderbooms Paradise focuses more on the Eilanders, whereas the Vanderboom family is the central plotline of Roots.
Paradise would not exist without great sacrifices. Creepy.
Fun and engaging. Good puzzles and a dark story line.
As always wonderfully made and beautifully themed.

Rusty Lake PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR GRAPHICS. They are so ugly and amateurish. That was fine when you were doing silly little flash games but not when you're asking money for something that looks as horrid as this. I know that you're most likely just a two person team but I also know you make FUCKTON of money from these games. Or at the very least enough for you to hire a proffesional artist that can draw better than this middle school level stuff. And don't you dare try to say that "it's the artstyle". TLDR: GRAPHICS SUCK ASS, HIRE A PROFFESIONAL.
What to say. Another wonderful Rusty Lake game.
Takes place in a eerie island, where you will meet the same characters in different settings. Possibly one of the hardest games of the series, with some really abstract and head scratching puzzles.
