Save The Halloween is a very lazy single screen 2D platformer with a halloween theme as you control someone with a pumpkin head, collect candy, and go through the crypt door to reach the next level.
This is the absolute worst platformer I've ever played, and that's including many Mario and Sonic fangames, the worst of NES and clone system bootlegs, classmates projects at university, and more. Why?
[1] Collision detection is completely broken. It's broken to the point where you are more likely to stick to the side of objects than actually land on top. You can fall through as well. The saw killed me without even touching me a few times.
[2] Floaty controls. Really, really floaty. Sometimes unresponsive.
[3] Level design is mostly single screen affairs with no real planning involved.
If this is campaign to "Save the Halloween", then I say let it die.

It's not very good. It reminds me of those crappy games you'd get for free in a cereal box back in the 1990's. There are awful lot of glitches.
FULL OF BUGS. DON'T FUCKING RELEASE SOMETHING WHICH HAS SO MANY BUGS. FUCKING IDIOT DEVELOPER.
Don't buy, NO STEAM TRADING CARDS.

What an awful game. The graphics look like those strange Elsa/Spider-Man Youtube cartoons that get kids to click on them for ad revenue. The levels are tremendously boring and designed like someone just getting a hold of an old version of GameMaker would design. The programming is utterly broken - the single, solitary mechanic in the game (jumping on platforms) does not work. The collission doesn't work - you touch the side of a platform, and are frozen. In fact, you can collide with the invisible boundry at the edge of the screen and essentially "wall jump" (see: cheese) your way anywhere on the level. Hazard hitboxes are odd and broken as well.
The assets are used ad nauseum, there are controls listed that are absolutely not in the game at all (apparently, there are three different types of weapon firing controls you can map... only this is not a mechanic in the game? You can use the mouse or CTRL or SHIFT, I think, to "FIRE" but... no, this is not actually a thing you can do in the game. Why is this even in the menu?
I think I put more into writing this review that the developer(s) did in creating it. I don't say that to be mean. I say it because this is not a game that is in a state to be sold. It is not a finished game, or a game in development, or a "pre release" of a game. It is a game maker's project file where the were screwing around/learning Unity, and decided to sell it as a product. It should not be sold.
Upon reflection, I believe that I purchased this game thinking it was "Halloween Forever," which is an 8-bit inspired Halloween-themed platformer where you, too, are a pumpkin-headed character. I don't know how that game is, but buying this sure has taught me to check games before purchasing them.
I swear I've seen this game, reskinned, some where else. Fun game, 5 minute completion with death, but is just a little platformer with no story. Cheap, but not best game ever. Take as you will. 3/5
God dam, it is really interesting! A Lot of levels, challenge lvl design and definitely cute animation :D
