a fun little puzzle game featuring colors and numbers.
Pretty easy to 100% and fun if you enjoy puzzles with math.
Puzzle Chambers is a puzzle game with a solid story.
The game does have a lot of dialogues and small cutscenes. at least a lot more than your usual puzzle games. It is such a shame to give this game a negative review, but 80% of the puzzles were really not enjoyable! Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of super hard puzzle games, but I'm quite familiar with many types of puzzles and I enjoy Sudoku, Kakuro, Nonograms and a ton of 'complex' puzzles.
This game just has no logic behind it! It's a constant sea of trial and error. It works fine for the first few levels (and some of the later ones that are easier) but the game has about 20 different type of blocks and rules, with no insight as to what the solution is! I wish the game had some kind of logic to it where you could figure out a part of the puzzle and build on it, but it sadly doesn't seem to be the case. The story is great, the music is repetitive but fine, the graphics are nice... everything is nice, except for the puzzle themselves, a real shame! Playing with hints/guides isn't satisfying at all though.
Overall, good story, good game, terrible puzzles.
The math puzzles were fun to solve - some easy, some challenging. The story is a bit silly and out there. I like the added humor.
Too much trial and error, it feel like a chore.
At least I didn't pay more than a dollar for it.

The game tells you a decent story full of secrets and twists which is enjoyable to follow. The puzzles however are an issue. Basically you have numbers and modifiers such as "+3 to the block on the right" or "-1 to all block in four directions". You have tiles with preset numbers on them and you have to cover all of them with either the exact same number (possibly affected by a modifier) or by any modifier (in which case the number under the modifier block is irrelevant).
The problem is that it's trial and error at its finest. In a good puzzle game you can break down a complex problem into a set of smaller problems, or understand new patterns/mechanics to build the solution around them, or similar. But here you kind of need to make everything fall into the right place simultaneously. Because if you move just one modifier around your solution changes completely. You can have a modifier that affects a modifier that affects two other modifiers which all in total touch maybe seven number-blocks. Any change to the layout results in a wildly different solution. Finding the correct one is not fun. It doesn't even feel rewarding when I mess around the puzzle until it suddenly just works.
As much as I was interested to see the rest of the story after about ~30% into the game I couldn't bear to go through the puzzles anymore. I can only imagine they get a lot worse later on.
At first, I was having fun. It was genuinely a clever & thoughtful puzzle game. But, as you keep getting deeper & deeper into the game, there is simply too much guess work or trial and error going on. You can't really solve the puzzle piece by piece per se either -- the solution inherently requires you to solve the whole thing at once on most occasions. Ultimately, it doesn't become rewarding solving the puzzles the further you get because you just feel like you guessed until you got it right. And that's no fun.
Aside from the actual puzzle parts, the game's story was nonsensical but comedic. It was alright I guess. But, the puzzles are the main reason anyone would pick up this game. And I don't recommend the puzzles, so I cannot, in good conscious, recommend this one.
If you are looking for an alternative game with a similar lighhearted-cartoony style & great puzzles, I would recommend Puzzle Agent!
This is a puzzle game with a decent story. I was playing for only the puzzles but it turned out it has a story that makes perfect sense with puzzles. It was a surprise gem for me.
2 hours well-spent. Recommended.

As you can see, good window and sound options, as well as plenty options to remove stuff that lets you wait.
I don't really know what penalty you get when you fail while not using unlimited solutions, I tried and could just continue to guess. Maybe you might want to have free solutions later on for tough stuff, but I want to solve them myself anyway. :)

The puzzles themselves need you to put blocks on the right places, starting easy, getting more difficult over time. Blocks can have numbers, may be empty (placable anywhere), or have mathematical functions going in one or more direction, affecting the neighbouring block(s), including blocks that affect neighbouring blocks.
You do not have to move the blocks with your character. As you're told early on, you have a super power to move them with your mind! :)

There are also different colours to the blocks, affecting only matching colours, or changing colours. And after a while shapes are added, neighbouring blocks have to fit into each other.
New blocks are introduced in easier puzzles, where it should be obvious what you have to do with them.
There is no level selection, but you can start over any time, losing previous progress.
There is no indication of how many levels there are. A guide on Steam here says it is 67 levels.
The interface works fine, the graphics are ok, though I could do without the fake 'snow' fuzzying some locations.
The character you start watching at the start isn't the most likable, but I guess you can imagine just watching the folks, and not actually playing him.
Definitely recommended for people who like to jog their gray cells and chuckle at the text now and then. Even fuzzy old me got to the end once, and I'm now playing it again. :)

It's a puzzle game that has some pretty good story/lore, fun humor, and unexpected plot twists. It took me about 6 hours to complete, and some of the later puzzles can be quite complex, but you have a decent amount of 'hints' that you're given. that you can use if you ever get stumped.
If you care about achievements, all but two are unlocked through the story. One is granted for completing the game without using full solutions, and one is granted for completing the game without using any hints at all.
Overall, I'd say it's worth $3. I mean, $3 really isn't much, but know that the game may frustrate you a small bit if you are bad at puzzles or single-digit addition/subtraction.
For something you get for such a cheap price, this one sure is a keeper. The game comes with 67 puzzles, nicely designed graphics and an interesting storyline to follow through. The protagonist's sense (Or lack of sense?) of humour is also one hell of a good read. If you're looking at this item on sale, you should definitely grab this puzzle gem.
math and I don't get along, so as much as I love puzzle games, I try to avoid ones with too many numbers, though there are a few exceptions (nonograms, hexcells and its spinoffs, etc.). puzzle chambers actually plays a bit like crosscells, as in you get a bunch of numbers and operators and you have to make sure everything adds up on the board. or in the room in this case, because it's not just a puzzle game, it's also a story about some people who wake up and can't remember anything, but they have to solve puzzles to escape. as they point out at the beginning, it's kinda like saw or the cube.
I found the writing funny enough, liked the graphics, the music's servicable, but as is typical with puzzlers, I turned it off after a while. there are some quality of life settings, separate volume sliders, resolution options, windowed mode, and my favorite: instant dialogue. every single game where text is displayed letter by letter needs this!
there's also a hint system, it can even reveal the full solution as a last resort. maybe it's just me being arithmetically challenged, but some of the 67 levels took a really long time to figure out, sometimes turning into trial & error, but there were only a few of those, and the overall impression is very positive.
as for what's missing: displaying progress (just 'level 1/67' in the corner or in the pause menu), level selection (there's no way to replay levels, even after beating the game, continue and new game are the only options), and it'd be great if dialogs only played once. as it is, if you quit and restart the game, you have to click through the intro to the current level again.
I doubt these will get added, but even without them, and at such a low price, it's definitely recommended.

Puzzles have you use a set of numbered tiles to correctly fill out a board; there are modifiers such as "+1 to all adjacent tiles," etc. There is story and narration mixed in with the puzzles too
I came for the puzzles and the premise but only stayed for the story.
The puzzle mechanics overstayed their welcome quite often, going from fun, fresh and interesting to annoying as hell quite quickly (I would have removed or reworked at least a third of the puzzles). I would have appreciated a better ratio on story segments vs puzzle, something closer to 1:1.
Sadly, I'm not interested in the developer's new game about animals in a zombie apocalypse, but I would really have enjoyed a sequel to this game, hopefully, with some kind of new mechanic or gameplay loop. The story, as silly as it was, was really enjoyable and full of twists.
In all cases, I recommend this game.
Creative puzzle game with a really interesting story!
If you're a fan of math and puzzles, this is a game for you! The fun and sometimes silly story is a plus that makes you want to continue the game, just to find out what's going to happen.
I recommend this one for anyone who is a fan of puzzle games.
Achievements: All possible. Some require no use of the hint system. Fairly easy 100%, especially if a guide is used.

Overall:
Puzzle Chambers is a delightful game. There's ~60 levels of varying difficulties. The storyline is unexpectedly engaging for a game so inexpensive. I've no major complaints about it. It's a lot of fun. I recommend it if you're in the mood for a good, mathy logic puzzle.
Imagine you wake up in a mysterious room, without even knowing why or who brought you there. Then, you start meeting awesome people who are just as clueless as you are, so you team up to solve the puzzles and be free again. Well, that's Puzzle Chambers.
This game has a lot of good things to highlight: intuitive gameplay, good math puzzles, nice soundtrack, colorful and interesting characters, and a plot full of suspense. Overall, this is a great and fun title, so it's worth checking it out.

Great price point for a fun logic game
with a funny, interesting story.
If you enjoy logic / number puzzles, this is a delightful little game to scratch that itch. It keeps introducing new elements to keep things interesting. The storyline adds a nice background setting that will tempt you to keep solving puzzles to get to the next snippet.
In terms of difficulty, the puzzles strike a good balance between flowing logically but often requiring some thought and trial-and-error.
I was surprised to see so few reviews - this game seems underrated, especially for the price.
Puzzle Chambers is a nice little game that unfortunately got zero attention. It is a math / logic puzzle that comes paired with colorful characters, dark humor and a story with a hint of mystery.
There are 60+ “rooms”. They range from very easy to quite difficult. You should expect about 4-6 hours of gameplay without using hints or a guide. The story is linear but fairly entertaining and funny.
Don’t get confused by the low price. This is not shovelware. If you like logic puzzles I highly recommend picking this one up.
Great brain teaser. Sometimes I had the feeling that there is many trial and error, but the final puzzle was solvable just by logic deduction and that was just awesome.
Took me pleasant 7 hours to solve all puzzles without a hint. Hope for a spinoff with Tim.
Well what a great way to melt my brain! I mean that in a good way. Good old fashion puzzle solving..no time limit or score tracker which I love when racking my brain. Story made me laugh too. And not expensive either making it all the better. Took me just around 4 hrs to get through the campainge..and yup I used help..fun game well worth the look over if you want a good puzzle game..no rush..no vs..just you and brain teasers
