This game is absolute garbage. I see now why it has such a bad rating. I thought it couldnt be so bad. But the track IS SO SLOW. On top of that its just not a good track even, theres nothing to look at and its just real hot garbage. I only bought it for the cheev and at least that works!
i liked it but it is bad
Badly designed and very poorly implemented. I have nothing positive to say
Bad! Very very bad! It manages to give you a headache whilst boring you to death, which I guess if that's what it means by carnage well done. It is so painfully slow the whole time you wish you had a virtual watch or smartphone to look at! Not much happens the whole time nothing seems to do anything and also the only other patron on the train seems to be a naked Santa whos upper half spends most of the time smiling and flopping about, I dare say it's not even worth the tiny price of it I would not waste my time on it if it was free.
A disappointment at any price even accepting in early access mode, and obviously in need of much development. Tried on Windows Mixed Reality (Dell) and worked fine. However, the climb to the top of the coaster was far too slow, to the point of being boring, and gave plenty of time to see that the track with its unrealistic kinks is of poor (programming) quality. The coaster car seated postion is set far too low, on Steam a temporary workaround is to reseat the seated position with your headset located near the ground. The overall ride is slow, with little to see. Overall impression is a half finished experience, slow paced, with very little to see but darkness. Much work is needed, and suggest far more exhibits, surprises, and features such as tunnels, scary buildings to go through etc.
Some really interesting ideas, but it was a flop for me.
Dont get me wrong the darkness girl was really cool.
The flashlight is a sweet idea!
The coaster is SLOW, even going back down. This is the first VR game where I ever got motion sickness, and it was when the cars were climbing the first major rise. Took FOREVER, SUPER SLOW MOVING, and no real visual queus to lock you in. Turned my stomach.
When on teh ground your totally exposed and I kept expecting some kind of monster rush or jump scare.....
Frankly, I would skip this one.

Really slowpaced coaster. Suitable for people that get motion-sickness. Far from thrilling. Good atmosphere and attention to detail.
It takes longer to clack up the hill than the rest of the ride. By the time it FINALLY gets to the top, I'm already bored. With some speed and sound tuning this could be a good experience. As it is currently, not so much.
This is the worst game in VR that I have found. Not scary. Void of anything really happening. So very very dull....
I can’t think of another dark coaster for the Oculus Rift at the moment, so this stood out. A lot of the elements are pretty good, like using the flashlight to do things like trigger events, and that the events don’t always trigger the same way. It can take repeated playthroughs to get them all, which is fun.
Since it is in beta it can be fun to be leaning out the back of the cart and looking straight down at the top of the climb, though I expect that will be fixed in a later build. It is a tad slow in parts as other reviewers said, and the end has a lot of space that leaves you expecting something.
Though I’m not sure how fast it could be unless events switch to automatic triggers. Personally I like the long climb at the start as it is the best part of any coaster for me, and this game certainly nailed that aspect.
I do not recommend this game for one simple fact, the height setting... I do not know if this is for everyone, however it is extremely off from my height and thus caused myself a bit of motion sickness. From the perspective i had, i realistically would have fallen clean out of the cart as soon as it started to climb up (which relates back to my height)....
All and all, it seems to have the right idea, my only issue is that it is not adjusted for an individuals height.
This is my review for them What I say/type is what I had experianced in the game. Everybody will experiance things different. With that on with the Coaster Of Carnage VR review.
Cosater Of Carnage VR is a roller coaster game that is set in an adandon circus I think? I swear I have no clue what this this game tried to do to be honest. If it was to scare/freak people out well it doesn't do a good job. The only scare I had was when the crows flew past me. Everything else wasn't scare/freak quality. The game is 8 minutes long and only 1 achivment.
Coast Of Carnage VR gets a 1/10 score. I have to give it credit for the roller coaster going up high since I am terriefied of heights but like I said there is nothing here that is scare/freak worthy about this game. If the developers added jump scares, different thinhs thats moast people are scared of like spiders crawling on you or a clown jump scaring you heck even having the coast go off the rails in mid height would have freaked me but since it didn't have anything the game was just a huge let down.
That is the pony review for Coaster Of Carnage VR
I think this vr experience has lots of potential. When I first played the game the roller coaster was very slow. I would like to see zombies included with more scary clowns and also viewing other people being terrorized by other monsters as well in the park. It would be great if the rollercoaster ride was expanded to see more of the amusement park infested with other monsters/scary creatures. Perhaps different versions of the ride can be developed in the future from mild to intense. I will be waiting to what happens.
This Early Access ride imho is well worth the cheap price the dev is asking for it. The ride is as long as any real life roller coaster. The developer is open to ideas and is adding new content. This has alot of potential to be a real hair raising ride once it is polished some more and some of the new ideas are incorporated. At the moment the ride has its slow points and needs some ironing out, the atmosphere is creepy and has some evil things going on (don't want to give away anything). No where in the description does it claim to be scary, so the reviews that talk about that dont make sence, " Guts and gore, clowns and cadavers, blood and bones, and a cohort of Satans rejects!" but if you have any phobias...that could be a different story. I can see the direction this ride is headed and I personaly like it, has a Rob Zombie feel to it. Grab this EA title while it is still cheap because if it ends up how the developer is envisioning it, it will be more than the current low price.
half of the time i spent in this "game" was painfully wasted climbing the coaster. Once it reached the top it began a slow decent. I spent around 70 cents on this game when it was on sale, and if it wasnt for the price I would be upset.
Edit v0.964
The coaster moves a little bit faster now but is still painfully slow if youve ever been on an actual roller coaster.

Coaster of Carnage is the first horror-themed rollercoaster VR title so far. I don't want to elaborate on the experience too much, since doing so will give away all of the reasons to experience the game, but I will say that the pricetag is fair for the content; moreso if you grab it on sale. At this point in time, it does need a lot of work, but it's not necessarily a bad title. Hopefully the developer will listen to feedback, especially since the game is still in Early Access and is scheduled for release around Halloween of 2018. Continue reading only if you're the developer, or if you don't mind some of the gameplay being spoiled.
As of the latest update, the rollercoaster doesn't seem to be as slow as it were originally, which was one of the painpoints of the game. There are a few more scares added, and those that have arachnophobia (like me) may find themselves actually sweating a little bit for a couple of minutes. Something that still needs to be fixed is the actual coaster seat. I was unable to sit down while playing this, since the seat was far too high above me and blocked my view; I actually felt like just a torso on a coaster seat. This is something that needs to be dealt with soon, as a lot of people require seated positions for rollercoaster VR titles.
With the latest update comes some additional scares, and fixes to ones that previously existed but were bugged. The snow on the ground for December is also a nice touch. That being said, the falling body, chainsaw guy, cultists, and creepy girl with her whispering are simply not enough. The developer has actually added me on Steam at this time, and we're in talk about what can be added to make this horror coaster more spooktacular. It would also be a good idea to add more intense ambiance to set the mood via music.
For now, I'm going to give Coaster of Carnage a recommendation, it takes on a unique concept in the world of VR and deserves some support, especially since the price is so low. I will definitely be keeping my eye on this title, and update the review accordingly. The developer is really involved in his project, so make sure to give some feedback on what you'd like to see in future updates in the forums. Keep up the good work, dev, I'm eager to see what new horrors await.

for $.59 Cent Note: I Purchased while on sale I won't Complain...
Pros:
- It Works The Ride is Smooth Slow but Smooth
- It did have Scary Moments ''Not Many''
- Cheap Price!
Cons:
- Not that Long.
- Not that Scary!
I Was expecting Much Better...But, for the Cost I Feel it is worth it! Thanks!
Early access, not much here to talk about. Glad i picked it up on sale. Let me know when its complete and speed this ride up, I almost fell asleep on it.
Not horrible, but not what I expected. It was worth the $0.59 to try out, and may be a good start for those trying rollercoaster sims for the first time, as it is pretty slow. Minor jump scares, but does have a creepy feeling.
