You take the ball, you roll the ball, you hit the pins. what more could you want?
This game is really bad. I would not recommend this because it is really buggy, laggy, and other problems. Please fix but now this game just sucks and i would not spend the money.
At first it didn't display my Oculus Rift S contollers and I couldn't grab any ball. Worked fine after restarting the game.
It's fun for a while, got it during a sale.
The physics was wonky twice. Once my ball just bounced of a pin as if it was welded to the ground and once it bounced of an obstacle in the totally wrong angle.
It is simple but well made and entertaining game. Bowling meets minigolf (though there is also standard bowling lane mode). I think you don't need to be good in real bowling to have a fun here, most lanes are much shorter and it is more about obstacles and geometry. There are 3 sets of tracks (3x10) + 1 standard lane (4th "set"). Each of them can be played in three deifferent game modes, all of them are interesting. And for the price it is amazingly good deal.

While not perfect, VR Mini-Bowling is a great little local coop game that has quite the potential to be a decent party game. The graphics are meh, sound effects are meh, and music is okay, but the overall gameplay experience is fairly good despite the flaws.

I have the WR for Time Rush lane 1. Dont even THINK about beating it.
Fun game, very casual and relaxing. I was able to play for longer periods of time without getting dizzy and could also play in a chair without any problem. It would be good in the future if possible more gamemodes were implemented or some new mechanics! But would recommend!
Great game grabbed it while on sale, my only criticism there is no room reposition toggle button, i say this as i only have a small area to play and constantly have to check that it's clear to play, i do however have one sweet spot and it would just be nice to be able to play without ornamental damage and dishing out accidental uppercuts to my room mates! But seriously great game short or long time play, you can't moan for the price.
Pros:
- Actually fun
- Nice variety of non-traditional lanes to rotate through
- Physics feel realistic
- Music and sound effects are pleasant and/or non-offensive to the ears
- Environments are not overwhelming or unpleasant
- Bad throws in certain gametypes allow mulligans
- Has local multiplayer(up to 4 friends)
Cons:
- Teleporting is awkward and somewhat jarring on Rift by having to click thumbstick(Devs have acknowledged this in Steam Discussions)
- Stiff rotation(Could be adjusted to with time. Not too much of a con, as this is being implemented in more games and even Oculus’ new home environments)
- Picking up ball from the return manually on some lanes makes for confusing and/or frustrating adjustments through teleporting and IRL, breaking up the flow of gameplay at some points
- Environments are simplistic, flat, and uninspiring. They are novel in that the wow factor wears off once you’ve seen them a couple times. If anything, they lack cohesion(Visually jarring to see moving parts not attached to anything, plain rectangle rooms encompassing the uniquely designed lanes)
- Music fades in and out between different lanes/rooms, which makes for awkward peaks and valleys in the pace of playing.
- Multiplayer(haven’t tested) would be a pain to switch between multiple people on the same headset unless each person is playing an entire 10 frame game at a time
- Mulligans aren’t explicitly obvious when the announcer simply says “Bad throw”
Suggestions:
- Magnetic ball grabbing from the return to avoid unnecessary player adjustment. This is especially important for those in smaller spaces.
- Redesign main room to look more polished(Kind of looks like extra room in a house converted for physical activity)
- Create a more immersive in-game atmosphere besides the abstract-esque “convenient dev test” look currently in place.
What I’d like to see:
- Neon/glow-in-the-dark bowling
- Low-light settings(Something cozy and/or intimate)
- More locations(Realistic or otherwise)
- Themes for settings, balls, pins, etc…
- Novelties or unique skins for the balls and pins

I’m really hoping this game gets more fleshed out as time goes on. At the time of this review, the game feels like it’s more in alpha with the “Hello World” dev test layouts, placeholder fonts and textures that make up for what it is now, despite JUST coming out of early access. If the design, look and feel of the game is brought up to an immersive standard, it could very well be the best bowling VR experience the world offers today. You can tell from the get-go that it wants to break tradition with its unique lanes that force you to approach them in new and fun ways. Not to mention there’s something really satisfying about having the ability to set pins to zero gravity, and watch them fly all over the room when they’re hit by a ball that had to go through loop-de-loops and around bends to reach them.
I’m giving the game a thumbs up. A couple of these issues can be remedied by having a large enough play area to experience this game at its fullest, which I currently do not. It would be unfair of me to hold that against the game when I decided to splurge on a $400 headset that explicitly requires a certain amount of room. The rest of the issues can be dealt with in time if the game devs are dedicated to making this more than what it is now.
This game is a lot of fun, even if you only play it for a small amount of time.
The idea of making bowling lanes like mini golf is brilliant. Very fun game and a great VR experience.
I've only played anout 30mins, but it's better than what I expected so far. Also I'm using a Windows Mixed Reality headset if anyone wants to know if it works on those headsets.
I have been enjoying this game since it was released and I just realized how few people are playing it so I wanted to leave a review. I picked it up for $3 and it was well worth it. The game is now $5 and still a great price for what it is. The developer has added a good amount to the game since its release as well as tweaking and improving what is already there. Most recently a standard bowling mode was added which is a good time as well. I really like the idea of mini golf, except with bowling and I think this game does it well. There are a few variations of the standard mini bowling with stroke play and time rush which add to the game's content. I would say for anyone looking for some simple, cheap VR fun to pick this up. To me, this has more content and replay value than many of the $20 VR games that are out right now.
Rather than update this app the developer has released a VR Mini Bowling 2 that looks almost identical except for small updates that should've been added to the original game for paying customers. This kind of double dipping is greedy and unacceptable... I didn't even know a second game came out, just been waiting over a year for an update to the game I actually paid for. What a scam!! Might as well just uninstall it since it'll never get updated again... feel like I got my money stolen.
I love this game. Crazy bowling is more fun than crazy golf!!
Pros
• Very fun arcade style bowling game
• Fun to try for good spots on leaderboards, even though not many people play.
• Comes with new spiffy unlockable balls based on in-game challenges.
• Nothing is clunky with the bowling mechanics, everything feels like it should.
Cons
• Sometimes walking over to grab a new ball gets kind of repetitive, ESPECIALLY in the time trial mode. If there was an option in the menu to be able to vaccuum the ball up into your hand it would make the quality of life much much better.
• In the time trial gamemode, if you completely miss the lane you won't be given a new ball and you will have to teleport to grab it. Seems like an oversight to me.
• Does not come with any sort of level editor, would be a spectacular addition that would greatly increase the longevity of the game in my eyes.
• The menu feels very odd that it would be centered in the middle of the screen, It would look a lot more sleek if the menu came up above your controller that you would then be navigated via the control pad buttons. Not sure how this would interact with the oculus though.
Main Feature Reccomendations
• Add more balls with challenging requirements.
• Try to implement a level designer with workshop support.
• Add a normal bowling gamemode. - ✔ [ADDED]
• Maybe better implementation of the bowling in the dark in the settings menu. ✔ [ADDED]
• Be able to grab a ball that is not in play from any distance.
Overall, the idea to make a fun mini-golf type bowling game helped to create a fun casual experience that was implemented fairly well.
For the price it is a must buy!

Really fun game! Great value conisdering it's only $5 (less if you purchase during early access), but still has room for improvement. The courses are unique and I like that there are multiple scoring modes. The walls are a bit empty... would love to see some extra artwork there and the sound of the pins getting knocked over isn't the best... maybe just change it to sound like real pins? The unlockable balls are really cool and I love all of the obstacles in the courses. I like how it saves your top scores, but I'll really be exctied to try and break high scores once global scoring is up and running. Local multiplayer would be nice as this would be a great party game. Overall this game definitely gets my approval. 7.5/10 for now... with a few small tweaks this game can be 9/10-10/10.
I give this game a 6.5 out of 10 would be better with multiplayer and more maps, but is pretty fun

Great game, saw this game yesterday and I was waiting to try it. It controls really well and me and my family had a great time playing it! The menu screen made my mom dizzy though >~> but Id recommend this game too someone even though this is only early access!
Fun game, possibly the most fun VR bowling game (most of them suck). It says you need 2m x 1.5 and that may be ideal, but I was able to play this seated with 2 sensors without any problems. But obviously, if you want to feel like you're using realistic bowling mechanics, then a nice play space is recommended.
This game is in early access but it plays well with only a few hiccups. It can use a whole lot more polish to be a great VR sports title. However, you must accept the fact that it's going for an arcade bowling game versus a bowling simulation game.
PROS
+ Simple, fun gameplay
+ lots of bowling ball unlocks to keep you going
+ 3 different game modes which bring a different flavor to the playstyle
+ 20 different bowling courses, all different, innovative, fun, some very challenging
+ smooth gameplay, no frame rate drops or clunkiness, doesn't feel like EA
CONS
- only 2 bland environments, no decorations, only rug is really there, totally bland rooms
- no multiplayer (this game needs local multiplayer, it's a party game!)
- sometimes ball doesn't reset (but you can go pick it up so it's no big deal)
- needs to make it a requirement to start bowling ball throw hit within starting area versus being able to throw it to pins
- because this game needs online world leaderboards
- physics too much on the arcade side .. don't need ultra realism, but just a bit better, especially pins knocking each other
- sounds are not realistic and it's bad, it sounds like bubbles
Please make fun environments. Maybe add 10 more courses and 1 more environment. Online leaderboards. This is a party game, so definitely needs at least a local multiplayer option. This is the start of a possibly great game. Right now it's just good, but very fun at least for a few playthroughs. I can definitely recommend at the current price.
Sale Price Rating ($2.99) 7/10 really good, but could be great, should be a 10/10 with refinement ... better physics/sounds, more fun environments, multiplayer .. please? :)
