This game is fun and adorable with great bits of hidden story to discover. It can get a bit repetitive but updates always help and I adore making up stories for the children I raise.
tiger parent simulator x bejeweled
This game is so fun and addictive, I didnt even know I had almost 90 hours in this!
I really thing this game relaxing and great overall!
Mansow Rating: 18/20
So fun! Really challenging too, which makes the game more rewarding. I love the replay value as well.
This game has the potential to be very good, but in my humble opinion, it is not quite there yet.
CONS:
-Game mechanics are not communicated very well. For example, the exams are awful, you need to stack gems to answer questions, but there is no clear way to get the gems to stack and when you do it seems like an accident more than intentional.
-There is no communication on how to get traits or score well on tests.
-There are no childhood friendships and they only come in highschool.
-The music.
PROS:
-Face battles are hilarious and funny, but also a cultural experience, which is a great touch.
-Running for class president.
-Writing exams.
(I really wish I could say all mini games, but the reality is the first time you do any of them you will likely fail because there is something missing in the way they are described in tutorial. And if you are like me, some of them will not make sense at all even on the third and forth attempts.)
All in all, Growing Up does this same idea, without the Chinese cultural nuggets, but a lot better. If you like this idea, go play Growing Up as it is better. If you have already played Growing Up and want something similar this is definitely worth your time, but don't be surprised when it is just not as good.

Surprisingly fun! This is one of those generation-based games where in theory you're doing the same thing at every generation, but each generation can feel different! This is impacted by:
- what career/goal you target for your child's playthrough
- your parenting style (which impacts how the parents react to the child's activities at each turn)
[*] as well as seeing the benefits of generational privilege haha- It gets easier in the children's playthroughs from having family heirlooms that give beneficial effects or your own learned experience of which classes/entertainment will actually help your child the most -- just like real life!
It helps to look up a career guide online, just so you know which stats/etc you need to grind for your kid's end goal, and that made it more fun for me
I love the introduction of pets in the latest update. It's very heartwarming and your child can have pet-specific life experiences
A lovely, gentle game to play
When you are trying to make your child following some guidelines even though he doesn't want that, you are becoming a Chinese parent.
same parents or same kids
very good , and update frequently
After so many years, this game is still alive
Banger of a game
good game to see the growth of a child
GOD dating is so HARD!
I TRULY feel like I'm getting to experience trying to date while having some strict parents.
I have perfect grades, GET OFF MY BACK! I have a limited time window to get with them, PLEASE!
When you try every possible means to look up strategies and go to great lengths to avoid losing at the starting line, you have already become a typical Chinese parent.
Menus....Menus....Menus.....
I could stand about near 3 hours of "gameplay" - The game looks alright but does not have much interactivity. In the sense of, it is very basic menu functions. Makes me think of life creation mobile games that are menu based.
You click on coloured squares to gain points to help with either parent expectation events that come along now and again or to lower the cost of learning "Skills" with memory points.
That is basically it from what I saw. There are other things to make note of such as stress and your parents happiness and their face rating (How much they approval of your behaviour) but really, each round is mostly the same on repeat with maybe a mini game thrown in now and again (Clicking more coloured squares) or clicking certain menu options for a random outcome (Class President contest)
Not really any real story line and the game passes at a very slow pace too. Or more so, it eats up time fast and I felt no real accomplishment. You can't even customise your character and how they look. I also tried to find out more information about what each of the coloured squares meant but really actually, I did not need to know anyway.
There is also something that comes up now and again which is your school subject marks but there does not seem to be any way to know what your scores are as you go along anyway. So unless you are keeping track of what subjects you are putting into your schedule to learn over time, you will not be able to get a good score (If that matters to you)
Ah, maybe my own people pleasing came up. Trying to meet the parents expectations and also trying to learn new stuff too. But in the end.....It was just too much of same old, same old. With no real pay off.
I give the game a 4 out of 10
locks same sex romance, lacks a proper tutorial, poorly translated into english to the point where you can hardly tell whats going on sometimes, and the dating/freindship system is pretty old fashioned and sexist. other than that, it's decent.
Well, this was my winter vacation and well worth it - talk about value for money. While some aspects of the game did become repetitive, there was enough variety and goals to keep me deeply engaged for days. Some aspects of the game I still don't understand - after over 55 hours of playing, I have no idea why sometimes I unlock traits as soon as I practice a skill and others never seem to --- I can't see that it relates to how rare the trait is. It's just...unpredictable. I really love the aspect of building up stats over generations. A strategy of going for high IQ and high cash in the first playthrough seemed to give me a lot of latitude in later games. I don't doubt i'll dust this family off at some point, and there's still plenty I haven't done, but after days of noodling away (and even a few nights of not wanting to go to bed), I'm ready to move to something else.
Tomorrow. I'll move to something else TOMORROW.
This game is really good.
You can become Hokage in this game.
I really enjoy the game, but I'm feeling frustrated because I'm not able to develop romantic feelings for my same-sex friend. This is making me sad, as I wish I could fall in love with my best friend and have two loving mothers for the next gen
The game is heteronormative, which is bit sad but fair enough considering where it's from.
All in all, it's pretty okay. The UI isn't that fluid, so it's pretty slow and you can't skip/block all dialogue that you've seen but you must click through, text doesn't have "instant" option which all makes it tedious and makes it feel repetitive quite fast when you can't skip "seen" text.
There are quite a bunch of quality of life things this game could use, but if it's built upon, that'll be great. But until then, it's "just okay" instead of great. While the price isn't bad, I am glad I got it on sale instead.
第一代叫龙少 第二代叫战一柔 宠物叫咪霸天 主打混的家/.
Got scolded for not studying good enough as a son then got scolded as a daughter. Perfect sim.
This game brought back the pure terror of prepping for the Chinese college entrance exams. Played through several generations and still didn’t get into college—guess I’m doomed in that reality. Also, raising daughters is sooo much easier than raising sons in the game, seriously.
Gameplay-wise, it’s basically Minesweeper meets one dimension match-3, with some story events sprinkled in. The plot triggers feel pretty scripted—nothing groundbreaking—but once in a while, the devs throw in these cheeky little surprises that make me chuckle. That said, the event narratives are set in stone, and they don’t really interact with your character's growth. After a few playthroughs, it all starts feeling pretty repetitive.
But hey, this game has serious educational value. Perfect for parents—once your kid learns how to read, make them play this game every year. Let them get a good hard look at their life choices.
I really loved this game. ive devoted many hours of my life to this game, and was one of my favourite downtime games to play however ever since the 2022 2.00.00 update my game is no longer playable. My game launches and then precedes to stay on the opening launch screen with no way to actually start playing. this caused me to stop playing until recently, where i have been playing the beta version of the game that works normally on my laptop. I figured back then that this issue wouldve been patched by now but i still am unable to play any of the updated versions of the game. so in good conscience i am unable to recommend this game to anyone in the odd chance this issue befalls someone else.
this game lowkey made me emotional idk i think i kinda understand my father now
although not perfect, definitely a fun casual game esp if you are chinese and like simulation games
chinese..... p..parents......
Pretty interesting. Like it!
healing the generational trauma
Great game that mixes parts of a visual novel with RPG elements.
funasf
Way too much reliance on random, which can easily lead to negative consequences, crashing your plans.
good game
I had a 94% chance to successfully marry the person I want yet just like in real life, the game decided that my love life should be non-existent and i somehow managed to get the 6% of failure
My kid had no friends and i'm pretty sure he was heavily depressed but at least he knew how to draw
Now I know how it is to have no life. Definitely a candidate for the Failure Management.
Chill game overall. I recommend to grab it on sale.
stressful, not fully translated as well as incorrect text, accidentally left it on instead of quitting so I couldn't get a goddamn refund. I'm addicted to the gameplay as well as the perfectionism I feel when playing it and I hate it. Screw this game.
Waste of time, too many repetitive actions.
I never knew how badly I wanted a parent to drive me into the ground and make me feel worthless until I was perfect at everything in life, until I played this game.
Damn my cauc'asian'ism upbring'n.
I'm patiently waiting for the release of the "1940's American Parents" expansion, for the 'phy-si-cal damage' mechanic, I'll have a leg up on that one.
我最喜欢的游戏!!!!
One of the best games to waste some time
As a Chinese person who skipped its education system, I was interested to see it through a video game. Of course, much is meant to be amusing; however, I found the game weirdly very fun and - with each new update - there seems to be more to the game. This is one of those games that is fun every time you come back to it.
pretty fun. At least these parents give allowance
I think I was more excited to receive passing marks in this game than irl
So much charm and still get the girls unimpressed :(
