Fun, yes. But the servers are laggy and no one ever plays. The game has been abandoned
So here's the inside scoop.
Games currently $2.99, get it and play with your buds 4 or more (preferably) and you will easily lose 2+ hours. its a basic BR but funny and surprisingly balanced with a decent skill range. Totally worth for while on dale and your friends got the $3 to spare (i just bought 5 copies instead as a bribe though).
Downsides being, only two maps right now with game (haven't looked in work-shop), and this game would be 5x times better if they included a customizable item menu for gun type spawns or spawn rate, or even disabling healing items. These things aside the maps are stunning and offer up many different ways and scenarios to fight with the small, but effective, range of weapons that are at your disposal.
Also did i mention the music, sound effects, and announcer are 15/10, its kinda a blatant stereotypical voice but it hits that Fun spot right in your heart. Just careful, starting volume was a bit high.

Game seems dead with no one to play with online.
If you watch the original film "Battle Royale" you will see this is closer than other games in the genre - it's fast paced, with "cartoon" gore and close up violence, not sneaking around and sniping from a distance. For example, if you kill someone with a meat cleaver, you get a steak to eat that restores health.
Voice over guy is great - reminds me of Takeshi's Castle!
Progression of this games development has allowed the devs to balance the weapons and maps so much, and introduce Bots so you can kill time whilst waiting to kill your friends. I will say playing against other people is the most fun, but if you join any active game, people are very welcoming. If you're struggling to find a match, join the game discord - The community is awesome!
I've never seen anyone get salty in this game! Even though everyone takes it seriously, you can't help but laugh at it, and dust yourself off for the next round.
This game was the best Battle Royale I have ever played. Why play Forkknife when you can literally kill people with a knife in this game. Not a ton of other players yet, but playing with some friends was a blast.
Fun, quick shooter ... Great content (maps, guns, customisations) so far, looking forward to more!
Even in early access, BANZAI ROYALE is a treat. It is only technically a BR. The gameplay loop is faster, less serious, and (in my opinion) a lot more fun than some of the mainstream BR games right now. It almost feels more like Duck Game or something like that, where you’re in and out of rounds too quickly, and if you’re bad at the game like me, you can still enjoy it and have a great time with your friends.
I’m excited to see the community grow and have more players online. In early access, it’s just me and my friends playing, but that’s not an issue for me. It looks like they’re doing a lot to make online play more available for people who can’t schedule time to meet up with their friends online.
For the price of lunch, you can have a game with a satisfying core gameplay loop, hilarity for you and your friends, and a lot of love and support from the devs. You can also stomp on crummy players like me and be challenged by really good players. There’s a lot of depth in the game and I can’t wait to play more.

Bought this game on the first day of early release. I really love the announcer. This is just like a Japanese game show. It had me at the first game and keeps me coming back for more.
Have fun slicing and dicing your way through your friends. Games are quick, fast, and challenging. Controller support has been added for those that want it. I would recommend this to everyone. Pick it up and join the fun. BANZAI!
This game is super fun to play with friends. Up to 12 players per map. You can customize your character and there are tons of weapons to choose from. It took me a little while to learn how to move in a map but it wasn't too difficult. Rounds are fast and I just keep going back in because this is so fun.
Devs are friendly and supportive. This game is well worth the money. Recommended!
This game is so much fun. Lots of ways to cause meham, easy but fast-paced mechanics, and a nice artstyle. This game is definetly worth more than 6 dollers, and I defenitly recomend getting it. I hope this game goes far!
Bought it with some friends, is super cool! Love the gameplay and funny sounds. Gets real intense fast. For 5 bucks its an awesome game to play with friends.
Some developers feedback; Due to the fast pace, sneaking is never used. Well implementef positional audio could be key to start using sneaking more (like pubg) but its just to fast paced for this feature.
The circle rarely is a thread, due to a lack of active/online players. If your are ingame, the speed of the circle should match the amount of players.
The map feels a bit cramped and more variety in open/close quater spaces would be welcome.
The lack of players will hopefully be resolved once the game gains some traction. Otherwise some bots would do just fine.

AWESOME game, just had a quick and intense session with some co-workers. Will definitely be playing more and following it during Early Access.
The game looks really good. But there's no one on it, so you can't play the game :(
honestly, its one of the best games ive played. i havent played much but I don't even want to put it down. I played it with only one other person and it is still super fun. There is one bug ive found but it doesnt even make much difference in the gameplay and its hard to create. All in all im looking forward to how the game continues to grow and I think it WILL be a amazing game.

Fun, addictive game that will require a dedicated development team to reach it's potential. Well worth the few quid it's being sold for.
Seams like a very good game... just need to wait for a larger player base to build up.... really hope this game takes off.
