Grind game from mobiles.
Hi. I bought this game (through Steam) awhile ago - and then let it languish pretty much untouched (except for a couple of half-hearted attempts in the next few days after purchasing it. I was rather disappointed, I confess.) It seemed like a really bad version of Space Invaders, to be honest. But, in the last few days, I decided (for no apparent reason) to put some effort into it, and very much to my surprise found it to be absorbing, entertaining, and a distraction from my actual life in the world.
Which is all I want from any game.
The key is to follow the little pink blobs since catching them means credits, and credits mean you can equip the third turret (an absolute necessity - you cannot beat the first combat level without the third turret), and to stay close to the enemy, since the Lonewolf's weapons (at least in these early levels) appear far more effective at close range rather than long.
ALWAYS follow the pink blobs. They run out towards the end of the level, and the more of them you absorb before then the more credits you have, and with credits you can purchase the upgrades you will need to survive.
Combat is simple. Point the Lonewolf toward the enemy, move towards them by dragging the pointer across screen in the desired direction, and once in range your weapons will fire automatically. No I/O from the pilot needed. The pilot's job is simply to collect pink blobs, amass credits, purchase upgrades, and stay close to the enemy.
The graphics are very pretty, the soundtrack is acceptable, and the game-play is mind-numbing. Which, as I said earlier, is all I want from any game at the moment.
8/10 - perfect if all you want is to shut out the world for awhile.

Cute casual game. Satisfying upgrade elements for making your battleship stronger. Controls seem aimed at touch/mouse only. I already feel like I've gotten my monies worth, yet there's a lot of content before me; so this is worth picking up.

Okay Nay Sayers...
As others have said, this is a port of a mobile game.
That said, it is not bad for what it is.
If you can find it on sale, I think it would be an asset to anyones library that enjoys uncomlicated shooting, TD-type products. I think it is worth $5 at most.
You actually play this with a single mouse stroke input to spin the ship in the direction you want to go. After that, its all about upgrades, upgrades and more upgrades, as in any other TD game. It is by no means easy to win and there are plenty of maps/missions to play. It can get a little messy on screen when a crap load of enemy ships are exploding everywhere and it is easy to lose your mouse pointer when trying to find the right on-screen button you are looking to push. That brings me to the worst part of this game...unbindable keys. Er, that is to say, NO keys are available. If you dont want to do it with a mouse you are shitouta luck. It probably will never be updated, either as the last message from Devs was back in 2017. Other than that, it is a finished prodfuct without any bugs so far.
Sometimes you dont really want to spend all day learning a new game. Battleship LW is the sort of product you can play within 5 minutes of starting.
No muss, No fuss. Really, I would equate it with GOF 2, and that game seems to get high praise for a mobile port.

Only read if you want to know about the game in depth, I touch on all it offers.
It's alright for a mobile port probably one of the better ones we've seen on steam. It is a very simple game to play.
Play it with 1 hand and 1 finger no keyboard required just a mouse.
Has a little rpg-strategy with pause element to it, also has a little tower defense upgrading element to it.
Let me see if I can clarify my points a little better.
When you start a mission you get a set amount of resources to begin with, with these resources you can buy your turrets and if you desire upgrades to the few you bought. As combat phase progresses you'll earn more resources and can use it to upgrade current turrets on the fly or add more turrets if you have empty ports to add to. Also this resource can be used to activate your defensive skills (these are unlocked as the game progresses) it all feels like a tower defense game in that regard. There is waves of enemies that spawn, but very very thin pause in between each wave, so thin its hardly noticeable. Probably to keep combat more fluid and engaging. Also a bit like a TD game. You can however upgrade your ship permanently to increase the amount of resources you start with each mission.
Somewhat like an rpg game as each upgrade is counted as a level each per module. (I'll touch on this further in review)
The strategy bit falls into where you place your turrets on your ship. I've tried a couple different setups, some turret placements can be more or less effective depending where you have placed these turrets on your hull. I'll use starter ship as an example, starter ship before you unlock the ability to further improve your ship, starts with 3 turret ports. I have found with turrets unlocked by 3rd mission placing rocket on the front and two gun turrets 1 of each on left and right worked better than placing rl on left wing and gun turret front and right. I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this? The enemy will be attacking you from 360 degree angle so placement is very important. Remember you are flying a battleship it is not as agile as a fighter so speed and turning is much slower. So proper turret placement is deeply important.
The rpg side is mainly consisting of the permanent upgrading system. This is where things are more complex to clarify.
The only money you get to keep are from mission rewards, meaning no point hoarding resources you collect while in combat phase. (so spend it with out fear but spend it wisely) Each mission reward amount is based on how much damage you take during each combat phase. Don't worry it is decently forgiving.
The permanent upgrades are pretty vast, so don't be surprised if you find yourself in a moderate grind farming mission rewards to upgrade your ship. You can upgrade your hull to allow you to install more turrets. The turret variety unlock as you progress. There is 6 different turrets if you are curious. All designed to counter specific enemies (yep like a TD game lol)
Upgrade for durability this is your health gauge.
Upgrade your resistance to the games 2 damage types physical and optical.
Upgrade speed of your ship
Upgrade starting resources
upgrading the hull as I mentioned before.
(not sure what the caps for levels are i have starting resources at level 11 so far hull just level 5 with 7 turret ports)
That covers the ships upgrading you also have upgrade system for weapons and skills.
You can upgrade the potency of the weapons adding more damage and extra bonus like chance for instant kill, chance to slow targets. Just some brief examples.
I haven't unlocked the skill upgrading system, but I've been playing games like this long enough. i'd bet its for duration and damage as that seems the logical route.
The defensive skills are:
AoE explosion wipes entire screen of enemies, does moderate damage to and interrupts bosses healing abilities.
next would be the shield placed around your ship giving you few secs of invulnerability.
finally have the nitro as I'll call it to boost your ships speed 2 fold. Your ship is constantly moving it never stops.
Also 3 more that i havn't unlocked as of yet.
There is a text story to follow if you are looking for that info aswell. Personally, i haven't been following it much other than about some strange creatures or something like that. 3 chapters each 10 missions long and 1 extra chapter also 10 missions long, plus when all said and done survival mode we all by now know what that means lol
Bottom line I'd give it a 7/10 it's not perfect, but so far I've got enjoyment from it and sure, if you like the points i touched on and the genre of game I'm sure you'd enjoy it aswell. It will sink some time for you.

Its a good little time waster, music is bland though. Other than that get it when its a sale just like any other moble to PC port never worth the full price.
Edit: turns out the music is alright, not good or bad, but the sound of the guns firing 24/7 make it sound bad.
Game is pretty good but has one huge issue - is already abandomed by devs. Few people are asking on forum about save file location and there is no feedback one week already.
So if you play on laptop and start playing on desktop - you start everything from zero. Save file is not in the cloud...
I can not recommend abandomed game, sory.
Fun game, and on sale!
Kinda like the old Space Wars in the 80's but with updated graphics, story, missions, and crafting! Can just play a mission or two if you want.
Easy to learn, probably hard to master. Playing it on my Gaming PC in 4K. Will try on an old laptop - hopefully it will scale down so that you can play on any machine.
The aesthetics are beautifully done! Kudos to these Devs! Hope to see more and DLC for such a reasonably priced game.
Delivers on being a fun little shooter with a fluffy little battleship sporting pre-battle structural upgrades, along with quite a number of special attacks and turrets, of which the latter can be further boosted both pre-game and in-game with currency looted from killed enemies.
If you stumble upon a level too hard worry not - you can replay earlier stages farming some more in-game currency, and return with a beefed up ship to kick some ass.
I realize this is just a PC port of the game for mobile devices, but I've never played it before so here are my thoughts:
TL:DR: Surprisingly fun, no micro transactions, narrated voice acting, decent port.

Based off the developer description, I expected this to be a broken mess with terrible translations and questionable gameplay. I was a bit surprised when the opening cinematic was not only proper English, but voice acted with proper English as well.
Gameplay is fairly simple: select which turrets go on your ship (reminds me of gratuitous space battles), and pilot your ship around as your turrets auto-fire on enemies. As enemies die, they drop crystals which can be spent on match specific upgrades. The end of each battle features a boss to be defeated within a certain time limit. There are 6 weapons to choose from, with two separate types (physical and optic). At the end of each match, you are awarded with crystals to be spend on ship/turret/skill upgrades.
A story does exist in this game (something about crystals and super powers), but it feels a bit forced and unnecessary. The main character is an attractive anime chick, so I guess that is a plus.
Anyways; the game is fun, the port works well, and the game kept me engaged.
Feels a bit steep at ~$5, but I've paid more for less. I'd recommend.
Oh. And as a bonus, I did not see any microtransation or pay to win shenanigans going on.
