It's a short game focused on the aesthetics, with a nice and relaxed soundtrack.
A walking simulator, probably better played under LSD, reminds us that games can be an purposeless experience with the only goal of opening our minds to realities not possible in the material world; the unachievable achievement pokes at those whom forgot that games shouldn't be a checklist of task that can be forgotten once all the entries are marked, but should allow us to feel emotions.
Video games can be a form of art, and Wanderlust is a testament to this statement; although short, this is a nice little art piece.

Just finished the game. A chill dreamy glowy walking simulator with nice atmospheres and levels to walk around in. Really cool and fun
Literally the entire game was revealed in the trailer.
Using animal figures to teleport is fun (until you run
out of new ones to try). It's only been four hours,
yet I've discovered no new pathways for me to
explore and experiment with. The music and
visuals were nice, but the lack of options were
disappointing. If anyone here knows about
alternate pathways, I'd be interested.

Calling this a game would be somewhat of a lie. It is more of an interactive 3d space. Or a walking simulator for that matter.
The gameplay is lacklustre. Or to be exact, it does not really exist. The only "fun" part is finding out how and where you teleport into the next world.
It is only saved by somewhat of an aesthetic atmosphere, and the actual "Places" you go to are nice to look at. But as a game, especially for its price tag. It is not worth it. It would at max be worth 1$ or free.
There is no story to speak of here which also does not help this game's case. What I will say though, is that if eternity studios takes this aesthetic and music and pump it into an actual game with proper gameplay and story (perhaps surrealish) or with puzzles, it would be a good game, and worth the price tag if not more.
On another note, it is a technical disaster. The steam page says it only needs 50mb, whereas it is actually 6-7gb of space. And a lot of the time it went down to 30fps and even into single digits. And the little UI that exists is horrible to look at (Not that I have ever made better UI though.)

Reviewing this product is tricky as it is not a game. But do one thing, open Spotify and look at the PC background. Save your money.

A New Low on Steam?
A walking simulator where you wander around aimlessly looking for an exit to prompt yourself to the next world. Neither direction nor instructions given with no real incentive for progression. The only saving grace for Wanderlust would be its visuals, because under the hood what it conceals is rather unsettling.
I mean...I'm sorry, but what?
- Shamelessly lowkey advocating the use of (SAM) Steam Achievement Manager for the only achievement available with no other unlockable method? The achievement literally named "Hey, my name's SAM, enjoy your trip."
- Around half an hour or less of play time for 8 bucks?
- Un-optimized textures and copy-pasted assets?
- No Trading Cards since its release in 2017 though indicated on Steam page?
- Misleading specs? 50 megabytes indicated but actually 6.15 gigabytes?
- Usage of supposedly copy-righted music?
Wanderlust is fraudulent and should be removed unless any justification for those points are brought forth.

I was able to snag this ~20 min game for $0.80 which is what is SHOULD cost (not $8...WTF). Not spending full price on Wanderlust changed my opinion of it. It was a relaxing experience where I found some good songs, took some good screenshots and just appreciated what I was seeing. Even with my powerful PC, my frames TANKED in a couple places, most notably in the area where the seeds, or whatever they are, are falling from the sky.
But is it BAD? No. Is it FUN? I'd say so. Is it worth buying on sale? Yes. I'm likely to come back to it when I have free time to listen to the music and just unwind maybe once or twice more.
This game seems to be a good representation of lofi music in 3D games. When I played this game, I remembered Neil Harbisson, a genius painter who expressed music in color. This game is my taste in spite of the fact that gamers either likes or hates.
This is a student's project. Plain and simple. Someone spend some time getting to know the Unity Engine and created a handful of 3D environments as a result.
Advertising such a project as a game is reprehensible, but selling it for 6,99€ is a scam.
During the game you move around several worlds. Each world is empty (as in there is nothing for the player to do). A big object (most often the statue of an animal) is usually the trigger to get to the next world. So you move from one trigger to the next for about 20 minutes and then the game is over.
Technical Issues
Even though it was such a short game, I noticed several technical problems. Now, I played this game on Linux (Fedora 28 with Steam version 1.0.0.54), so you may take my findings with a grain of salt. I will also refrain from counting any graphical glitches I found, as Nvidia's proprietary drivers for Linux aren't known to be great.
-) Wrong path to the executable
The executable is located in a different location than Steam is expecting. Creating a symbolic link isn't much work, but such a simple mistake should usually be noticed and fixed quickly. Yet it is known since February.
-) Options are placebo
The game has an option menu with two volume sliders. Music and Effects. Both of these sliders do absolutely nothing.
-) Options menu
Now this is more of a design issue rather than a technical problem, but still annoying. Using the options menu doesn't pause the game, so if you move your cursor around the camera still follows, which is rather irritating. Additionally once you click somewhere (e.g. to adjust one of the non-working sliders) your cursor disappears. You have to re-enter the menu if you want to make more adjustments.
However, since the options don't work in the first place, this is only a minor issue.
-) Rotating your character
The rotation of your character is absolute to your cursor's position. Moving it from the left side of the screen to the right represents the maximum angle your character can rotate (>360° in this case). This becomes rather weird if you want to move more to the left, but your cursor already hit the left border of your screen. To fix this you have to spin around in the opposite direction until you face in the direction you want to go.
-) The ending
This has nothing to do with spoilers (not that you could spoil anything here). You reach the last trigger, the credits roll and that's it. The only problem is, that the game doesn't quit or give you an option to do so. Your only option is the force quit.

It's short, technically flawed, offers neither exploration nor an relaxing atmosphere due to some weird music choices and visual effects and is outrageously overpriced.
It's a majestic experience, seriously. Have a drink or two, smoke up, eat a couple fun guys, and/or let yourself go. I wish I could find more games like this.. it's beautiful.
Bizarre worlds, amazing foilage (be sure to get up close and really inspect them), perfect gradients, lighting, shading on textures, and shadows at every turn. A perfect soundtrack. Wisps giving me hints to the path ahead. Partical effects covering the screen. Shiny things drawing my attention.
There was curiosity behind every move I made in this game. I finished it in 34 minutes (saw the first two maps played by someone on youtube), but I'm surely going to play it again.
The only downfalls I had in my first playthrough were that 1) my computer was *struggling* to play it at a 1920x1080 resolution and I regularly play games at '2k'. 10-60FPS range throughout the entire thing, mostly in the 20-35 area, and down to 10-15 in some maps. The map with the dandelion-like particles was so bad the audio was stuttering. 2) the maps are constricted by invisible walls; I get why, but it really does 'remove' you from the experience. 3) the transitions between each map were harsh, cut off the music, and interupted the experience--it would be much better if they faded into one another.
Anywho, A+ game and I can't wait to play it again. I'm going to wait a couple days in hopes that I forget the path to the end.

more like a labyrinth game where you don't see the walls and you have to guess / be lucky to advance... also: you walk up the stairs at in one level and suddenly you to jump to advance to the next step...
in most regions the graphics looks way beyond mediocre and there a couple of z-buffer problems in many places...
the music can't be switched off, though the extremely extensive options menu (2!!!! options, no joke!) has a slider for that...
all in all it looks like someone glued together some unity tutorials / training lessons and sells that as a game...
oh, and the trading cards mentioned on the store page: there's none!
so: if you're getting money for playing that, you might give it a shot... otherwise, you wouldn't want to pick it even as freeware...
p.s. the start-configuration for linux is broken, it won't start from steam.. if you want to start it from steam, go to the folder in the error message you get, create a script with the name of the executable steam wants to start, in that script go to the base-dir of the game and start the executable there... and don't forget to give the script exec permissions...

The music and visuals are nice, but that is just about it. The game was too short for its 8$ price, not to mention its sole achivement did not work. There are so many invisible walls that it is nearly impossible to tell where you are supposed to go, since everything looks open. Trying to walk into a field with strange stones? Too bad, invisible wall. Walking up a fight of stairs? Also a wall! I love walking simlators, but I did not enjoy Wanderlust at all.
I have 20 minutes on record for this game, yet it tok about 10 minutes to actually finish the entire game. Half of that very time I was taking a few ''pretty'' screenshots. This whole game is just a fraud. There is no Achievements aswell as Steam Trading Cards. Everything about this game just seems so fishy. Like it was made just for people who would wanted to take a few ''lovely'' images and nothing more. Priced at 7.99 Euros. I'd say grab it on sale for 99 cents or less if you have the opportunity to do so, but you shouldn't get your hopes up to high. Unless you want to support a quick asset trash made from Eternity Studios.
It says you need 50 MB available space on your hardware but it's really a 7.3 GB install.
As much as it gives me headaches walking trough this simulation game it's unoptimized in so many ways. I tryed to lower the graphic settings of the game but it was still lagging.
words cannot describe how disapointed I am with this game, because believe it or not I actually had high hopes for this game, thinking that Eternity Studios would learn from their mistakes and boy was I wrong because of stepping forward, they decided to reverse long jump ala Mario 64 into space because everything they have done here is so much worse

Pretty much the same as Eternity Studio's other game Dream Dealer except it feels like you move slower and your character takes this annoying extra step after you let go of WAS or D, making climbing the only obstical in the game very diffacult, because not only is it poorly constructed, but combined with the wonky new controls and it becomes a chore rather than a fun or interesting expirence

Really enjoyed the different art styles each of the different levels that I played. Only thing I would change is at least let us know what to look for in some way like maybe song pace picking up when you are going in the right direction? That's probably really complicatated and too much to ask for though. Really did enjoy wandering aimlessly through it to a great soundtrack!
This game let me just sit back and relax. Explore simple but beautiful vaporwave realms. I enjoyed escaping my day and listening to the music while walking around taking screenshots for my desktop background collection.
Wanderlust. It is a first person walking simulator game, you walk through different sceneries of backgrounds, like different biomes of places. Beautiful graphics and the music selection suited the different places that was shown. Playing this made me calm and relaxed looking at the beautiful scenes.
However this game is extremely short for $7.99. I'd say it's overpriced for what it is, but you have you admire the work and ethic that was shown right in the screenshots and gameplay.
