For some reason I thought this had a more game-play element than a visual novel. Nonetheless I'm really curious where this is going and enjoying the story so far. It's also a great way to wind down in the evening.
Enjoying it so far. Well crafted, very stylish, well written. Less similar to Va11halla than one might assume; this is more of a linear visual novel with a snazzy cinematic style.
Very nice soundtrack. Would be an even better experience with voice acting.
Very relaxing and nicely made. The only issue I have is the "memory's" take up way to much time. Sometimes the story's are really nice but more often the not are not to well written. It is just a giant wall of text. I think the most intriguing thing about the game is the way the story is shown and acted out and how it is controlled and well... the good story and good writing itself. BUT i have the feeling the memory's are a way to get the story's into the game that got out of the main scope. And they tell things about the world you otherwise don't know or get the context of. I still like it a lot! Can really recommend!
Perfect. Nothing else to say.
good story funny.
Gorgeous game honestly.
The beginning had a great hook to it, making me intrigued to see what led to the situation. The story then goes back a bit to show the lead (or what I presume is the lead up) to the intro. The main story stays strong as it introduces new characters but it kinda does slow down mid-way through. What kept me playing was the side "memories" that told of previous situations/encounters. Favourite ones had to be the Fisherman and Billiards.
Otherwise, in the latter third it picks up again and I couldn't put it down, beautiful main story that has made me view certain things from a different perspective that I never would have realised.
Graphics were gorgeous. Simply adore the use of varied camera angles to focus on different objects/scenes to tell a story. Also took way too many screenshots just walking around The Terminal and in the studio mode it has, which was fun to create scenes in.
I think my only gripe was that whilst it was fun to look for the objects that tell memories, they fit in so well to the surroundings that I did miss some in my first playthrough (not like that's a big deal). Maybe would've liked to see just some ever ever faint particles around interactable objects, just enough to highlight the object (but not enough to ruin immersion) from afar without having to press against everything to see if it'll light up.
Game was a little buggy, nothing game breaking, but I'm pretty sure there is supposed to be water outside The Terminal, judging by SFX, could be wrong. There were a few typos here and there but nothing major so it wasn't a bother.
Really enjoyed this game, hope to see more in the future!
Beautiful visual novel.
I couldn't find an autoplay option for the dialogue and clicking through all of it was a slog. I couldn't relate to any of the characters and didn't like the background music. Definitely would be better with voice acting.
One of the best visual novels I have ever played.
If you don't like visual novels don't buy this game. Outside of that,
Music: Fantastic
Art: Good
Animation: Okay
Writing: ....
Some people might like this type of writing, I don't. Since I paid for the game I played it all the way through. This is very theater kid coded, and I'm not a theater kid lol.
One of the best narrative games I played, which uses a very well-executed 3D posing to create a more immersive story.
Refunded. I don't really qualify this as a game, more like a visual novel with no choices? Didn't get super far but for even $6 this game isn't worth it.
More of a walking simulator than I expected, which is not an inherent problem but I didn't connect with the characters either. The devs did a great job, but this one just ain't for me.
slightly hit and miss in places and a myriad of typos, but repeatedly poignant where it matters. the authors care a great deal about people, and in particular about humans as humans. it writes very lovingly about peoples flaws and knows how to translate the nuanced mask of comedy and honesty into a dialogue format. i was in particular enamoured with the fisherman memory and the ending of the main story. the trope of passing on is handled well. sometimes tries to come across as a bit too profound where it's not, other times tries to use humour as a mask for the ability to just say things it knows are not profound but that it believes anyway, but who cares.
the side stories (note: i don't mean the memories with this) did not do much for me.; one of them kind of felt like one big self-insert, which i guess is fine? i don't know, strikes a bad chord with me whenever i sense it.
it's really short and it's well-made, maybe a little lacking on creativity and new things, but definitely well-worth your time if you're into this kinda juju. or was it mojo?
very tiring to imagine everyone speaking with an australian accent all the time
