More than a century after the bombs fell, you’re fighting a losing battle to keep your beloved Arizona alive. Then the self-proclaimed Patriarch of Colorado radios, promising aid if you'll do a job he can only entrust to an outsider—rescue his land from the ambitions of his three bloodthirsty children.

Based on how buggy WL 2 is im just going to categorically thumbs down this game just to be a shit.
Travelling and trying to figure what to do next is a pain. I'd rather spend more time thinking about tactics and combat.
But, when all enemies have too many HPs for no reason it's just no fun to me.
you cant save the game no matter what you do
i bought the game and created my charcter. took me about 10 minutes.
then i played for 20 or so minutesw and opned the game to relload a save.
i couldnt
ok thats happen just open a guide and try to fix it
didnt work
tried a fresh save(you need to do the first fight each time before you could save)
didnt work
tried it again
nope
the game is excellent i played it before the update that messed up the saves and i love it but why do i need to pay to have a game with probles with SAVES?
There were some significant changes from Wasteland 2, most of which were needed. Didn't like that they got rid of initiative though, it made encounter outcomes VERY dependant on who went first. The story is pretty good, and its full of wacky NPCs that prevent the game from ever getting dull. Overall an excellent sequel and standalone game.
Extremely fun game. The combat is so addicting. The weapons are varied and the hidden ones are fun to find. However, brawling feels sluggish and shotguns don't hit has hard as pistols do. Snipers and melee weapons are insane. This game reminds me of X-COM but post-apocalyptic. The decisions you make in the game actually matter. Crafting is a nice touch. I like making more ammo or medical supplies. The issue I have is with crafting weapon attachments or armor mods. It feels disorganized. It takes me a while to figure out which one I should craft. The voice acting is superb. Every character feels unique. I kind of wish the custom characters had a little more personality. Overall, great game. Had a blast.
I would have liked a better end game and larger map. But overall, just a very nice game. We need a Wasteland 4...
In Wasteland, humor must come with horror in equal measure, and vice versa. The story never lets up on its commitment to showing you the personhood within an endless winter, the tough and wild souls who perservere despite the end of the world. Life is unbelievably brutal, and the only way to survive is to have a sense of humor.
The plot doesn't lore or exposition dump you, with 30 minute cut scenes to "immerse" you in a deep fantasy. You have three targets to grab, and you're expected to keep the peace. You can choose whatever way you wish to fulfull that mission. Or not, the game really doesn't care. Instead the fun is in the exploration. What kind of bizarre life will you find at the next site, what team configuration do you need to accomplish this task, what will you potentially not be able to do until later? The game trusts that you're an adult and can make your own decisions.
The turn based combat ups the stakes, you cant shoot blindly and hope the AI is dumb. It's like a game of chess; even late into the game if I get a one hit sniper kill I still punch the air. And it feels like there are still things I havent tried (after beating the game twice on a different system). An entirely weird science build. Robot followers. Cyborg build. I tend towards a heavy contingent of big machine gun toting women, but that's just me. I can't recommend this game enough, highly underrated.
I really liked this, i have not played any of the previous wastelands but i enjoyed it. Perks are a little bit annoying to allocate as 4 party members seems like a perfect balance and adding more makes them feel useless. The story is kinda cool but it has some pacing issues, a lot of the quests have moral dilemmas which typically look like they only have bad and worse outcomes. Companions are annoying outside of maybe one or two. I liked the x-com feel to the combat. The ending was anti-climactic but i overall enjoyed it and it has a fun world.
Wasteland 3 is an overall enjoyable experience, with its turn based tactical combat standing out as incredibly fun, However, it’s not without its flaws.
The game suffers from persistent technical issues during co-op, with frequent crashes and freezes. Be sure to save often if you plan to play multiplayer. I haven’t tried solo mode, so I can’t comment on that side of things.
The narrative is entertaining and straightforward, but it often underdelivers on its stakes. The game builds up characters only to offer minimal rewards. This tendency can diminish the impact of its storytelling. Additionally, the humor is hit or miss; some jokes work well while others drag on too long.
On the DLC front, Steeltown stands out as a well integrated and essential part of the story, while The Holy Glow should be skipped due to its unengaging plot and reliance on gimmicks, which break the momentum of the main game. It’s just bad, really save your money.
In summary, Wasteland 3 is a good game that delivers a fun, co-op combat experience, despite its technical issues and lack of fixes. Save often and enjoy the ride!
I loved this game more than I anticipated. Mind you, it was my first Wasteland, but typically I'd only played CRPGs like Baldur's Gate, you know, fantasy stuff with romance and deep NPC storyarchs (which I love), so I wasn't sure about this post-apocalyptic world, but it was a hoot! Loved Lucia Wesson and Kwon, loved the wackiness of things like the Bizare. I fucked up so many of my choices and had real consequences, and that was awesome. When's 4 coming out?
Multiplayer is buggy as shit. Still fun and decent game.
Great story, great pacing, fun combat, solid customization, and overall an amazing experience. Took me about 60 hours, which is a nice length for a game. Good bang for the buck without wearing out its welcome. Would highly recommend.
It's fun but a little too tongue in cheek for me. Wished it was more of a serious game.
Talk about consequences for your actions. So much replayability value. This game is a gem.
Loved the gameplay and look of the game but it felt way smaller than Wasteland 2.
Only one real map and not a huge one. The battles get really repetitive very fast and a lot of the choices you make don't feel very meaningful.
In Wasteland 2 you felt like you were working towards a clear goal but also going on all of these side quests with deep self-contained narratives. In Wasteland 3 the whole game feels like one massive quest where all of the things going on alongside the main story line don't actually matter much and never really deviate from the main quest line. There's no "Sandbox feel" to any of it
Worth playing but I still prefer Wasteland 2 over this
very american games. they should fix the bug when starting the game that automatically puts the language back in english. it's just annoying to always have to change the language of the game. but apart from that the game is excellent! very funny too I had a lot of fun during 117 hours of play and I was able to take a little tour eventually.
This game offers enormous possibilities for a large number of dialogues or stories. taking the time to read everything is worth it and I tell you that and I think of the guy from mushroom in ranger prison xD
I had such fun in Wasteland 2 and I really wanted to love this game... but it feels like it needed another year of refinement before it was released, to balance the gunplay, improve the combat arenas, fix numerous gameplay and UI issues, and so forth.
Let's start with the good though - the story is definately interesting, sending the Rangers to Colorado on a mission to aid a local dictator in return for much-needed food... a directive you can choose to follow or ignore. There's some really good original songs, and the graphics are improved from Wasteland 2 without losing their old-school charm.
As for the bad - combat. The guns have no stopping power. That, combined with all the enemies having multitudes more health than your team (at least on 'hard' difficulty, which is what I played), means there's nothing you can do to prevent enemies running past your lines, tanking your entire squad's ambush attacks, and melee-ing your soldiers to death. And unless your own attacks crit (my tip: put attribute points into luck!), killing enemies feels like chopping down a tree with a dessert spoon.
To add to this, the combat arenas are poorly designed, often with few pieces of cover close enough to shoot the enemy, forcing you to choose between standing in the open and getting shot dead, or having half your squad sit out the fight.
And weirdly, line of sight is broken by doorways - this means that if you set your soldiers in cover at the side of an open door, they can't shoot the enemy unless you have another soldier already in that room.
And while the main story is good, so many of the different factions are sadistic psychopaths that it becomes difficult to take them seriously, especially once you get past capturing the first of the Patriarch's three kids. A bit more variety would have made a big difference. (And I don't mean variety in what costumes the psychopaths wear.)
At first, this game seems insanely horrible, but as you get past the inbreds, you realize the world is deep and dark as hell.
One thing to note: READ THE FUCKING STORY. If you don't read anything you won't enjoy this game at all. Listen to conversations and pay attention or you will be running around in circles like a moron...
Great game!
Loved Wasteland 2 and now this, fun, brutal and with a lot of the humour that made Fallout 1 and " the classics they are.
BUT, and I can´t stress this enough!!! Don´t buy the DLC´s they make the game a long winded tedious chore!
Pretty good game to scratch the CRPG itch if you've got it. I wouldn't say it has the most excellent writing or the best cast of supporting characters ever, but everything serves its purpose. There's a lot of neat wacky quests, and it feels like your overall vision for main quest is something you can fulfill. Feels like the story could've gone any way depending on what I chose to do. You aren't given much of a background other than being an Arizona Ranger, so there's real roleplay potential for the kind of character you want to be. A bunch of different weapons and skills let you find your niche too, enough for a full party to have something they excel at. Like any good RPG as well, you have a decent amount of dialog options and you have a fair amount of freedom in tackling the problems presented to you (though not as much freedom as I'd like). Gameplay is pretty much X-COM with some tweaks, so it's nothing too complex or hard to figure out. I felt right at home after about two fights. Loved all the references to 80s culture in the game as well. Having not played Wasteland 1 or 2, I wasn't too sure what to expect but I really liked my time.
I only have a ton of minor nitpicks with the game that do add up quite a bit, such as the importance of HP hindering some builds. I decided to spec into Strength on both characters I controlled for example, cause you're gonna get 1-2 shotted if not. Starting feats are pretty bad too, some of which can hinder you pretty harshly for the rest of your game. Skill perks felt pretty lackluster to me, the stat increases to my skills felt far more impactful than many of the perks I could take. A huge one for me though that's both a negative and positive, the soundtrack is AMAZING! From covers of 80s pop to old American anthems, the soundtrack feels masterfully done. What's not so good is the placement of them! Some encounters have unique music, but it seems so random considering there are major encounters with default music. Meanwhile, seemingly smaller scale battles get one of the unique battle themes. Not to spoil anything, but I felt extremely let down at times due to major battles lacking a unique theme while other fights did.
A HUGE disclaimer for Co-op though, it's not perfect. It's actually quite flawed even years later. Latency is usually fine for these kinds of games (Such as Divinity, Baldur's Gate 3, etc.) but I played through the game with someone on higher ping. While I'm uncertain if these issues are related to connection or not, Co-op introduces problems such as; Rounds starting without any AP, some actions consuming no AP even though Lucky Action didn't trigger, and some animations being severely delayed.
If you're going to play this game, I highly advise playing on the beta branch which fixed some smaller issues I had. To access it, go to the game's properties, beta tab and enter "AllYourBaseAreBelongToUs" in the code field.
Overall a pretty good time, get it if you can on a sale. Even though it was buggy, it's even better if you have someone to play it with.
Best part of this game is it's unique humor. Totally my taste and therefore a really fun game.
The last section of the game feels a bit unpolished and anticlimactic. So don't expect there too much. I think the first third of the game was the most fun and afterwards it was still a pretty good game.
Recommend if you like:
- Decisions
- Skill Trees
- Tactical RPGs
- Dark Humor
Most annoying for me was the balancing of weapons. Some are good in early game but weak in late game and vice versa. So you really should spread out your options.
I haven't played the other Wastelands... but after getting back into tactical RPGs like Rogue Trader (loved it) and Baldur's Gate 3 (Awesome return to D&D), Wasteland 3 (mostly) satisfies that nostalgic Old School Fallout vibe/feel/itch. The tactical gameplay is fun and somewhat varied but some of the systems could have been polished and fleshed out more. Also the the variety of encounters could have been a little better since there was not much need for reevaluating strategies once you found one that worked. Also, initially I didn't understand how some of the attributes and skills actually affected gameplay and leveling. Figured it out but the game doesn't do a great job explaining everything. Some of the world and story could have been more open ended (though you can wander ish). Overall it was great though, with some interesting characters and a story that's serviceable enough to keep you mad maxxing across Colorado. An easy "yes" to purchase on sale.
if anything I would say the game has become more accessible since I played it in my PS4 years. One of the best games of its type. Good RPG with suitably mad post apocalyptic story and characters.
The world, characters, and overall writing of this game was an excellent pairing with its brutal difficulty -- especially on higher difficulties. Not the greatest RPG you'll ever play but it's a great time.
Wasteland 3 switching desert for snow but a much friendly UI and system. The music damn Power in the Union and Everybody have Fun Tonight.
Really wanted to enjoy this game, but couldn't get into it. Felt like the combat was a boring version of XCOM 2 and the writing felt subpar, especially compared to competitors like Divinity Original Sin and Pathfinder.
I think the gameplay is quite satisfying, voice acting is good however I just couldn't get into the setting and the world.
It felt very, for the lack of a better term, "American" and generic.
If I could vote neutral, I would but I can't. And since I stopped playing mid game I have to chose not to recommended.
After playing through the game along with the included DLCs here's my review:
The Good
- Immersive Storytelling: Wasteland 3 offers a richly woven narrative with impactful choices. Some are immediate some takes a while before it pays off. From faction politics to moral dilemmas, your decisions shapes the world, also it gives the game some replay value. On my playthrough I helped Saul with bringing his children back alive, there are a lot of points in the story where it can branch out to different outcome and I loved that.
- Customisable Team: The character creation and progression system is intricate, letting you customize your squad with unique perks, quirks, and abilities. Team synergy and specialization is a must to explore the world of Wasteland 3.
- Turn based Combat: The combat is engaging and challenging, as it requires the smart use of cover, positioning, and skills. And with the DLCs there are special objectives that spices up the battles. The battle of Steeltown gives you the opportunity to clear the DLC with non-lethal approach or not, depending on your style. The Holy Detonation requires you to move from point A to point B while in battle to activate a terminal or kill an enemy standing in a platform.
- Humor and Tone: The game’s dark humor and satirical take on a post-apocalyptic America are entertaining It balances its grim setting with quirky dialogue, outrageous characters, and bizarre situations. Also I loved the fact that you do not have to be the good guy everytime, and the game gives you the options to do so.
- Steam Deck Opotimization: I played this game on the steam deck, and the performance is impressive. I was able to max out all settings. It drains the battery really fast if you just let it on uncapped frame rate so I had to cap it to 30 and it gives me around 5 hours per full charge.
The Bad
- The Inventory Management: Maybe this is due to the fact that I am playing on a controller and this game is a CRPG, the inventory management can sometimes feel cumbersome, especially when juggling to multiple party members' gear. I also have to manually compare the second weapon manually since, the compare feature only shows the first one, not sure if there is a button to press that I am not aware of.
- Pathfinding: There are times were some of the characters moves randomly than you expect them to move, resulting in one of them triggering landmines or tripwires that I was carefully avoiding.
- Ending just ends: I was expecting a good climax like when some characters are introduced for the first time and it is on 1st person perspective. On my playthrough, at the very end, Saul just approached me and asked some questions and that's it, the screen turns black and someone starts singing about the epilogue then the credits rolled.
The Ugly:
- Wasteland 3, although is a masterpiece, it isn't free from bugs, I experienced getting stucked before a cutscene and had to reload my most recent save. Also in combat, there are times where characters are getting stuck in tight spaces and just soft locks the combat. Pretty sure those issues won't be fixed as the last update was some years ago.
- The DLCs requires internet to be able to play and get recognized. I travel a lot and had to start wasteland 3 and load my latest save before I move away from the internet. This is minor but still annoying and I am pretty sure they could have easily fixed this but they didn't
Final Thoughts:
Wasteland 3 is a fantastic mix of choice-driven storytelling and tactical combat, and playing it on the Steam Deck makes it even better with the added convenience of portability. Sure, it has a few rough edges and technical hiccups, but it’s still a must-play for RPG and CRPG fans who's into post-apocalyptic settings. I highly recommend this game
Solid game. it doesn't do much extremely well but it's everything it needs to be.
Where it does excel is in its branching story paths. there's no one satisfying conclusion, no good ending really. Everything that could happen is bittersweet. they did a great job hiding things the player wants behind choices they don't want to make. The ramifications of player choices feel logical, like every consequence is something you should have seen coming. i loved the characters and the story had a tight clean scope. the humor is pitch perfect.
There are quite a few bugs, i had to full restart often. Once your party ramps up there's really nothing challenging. The complexity isn't the level it needs to be.
Ultimately, it plays a lot like a fallout 2 remake; for better and for worse.
This games is an absolute masterpiece of a RPG. There are just so many things that's done incredibly right. Wasteland 2 was a great game already and this one improved it in every possible way.
The combat mechanics is easy, yet flexible, fun and satisfying. The character development is not limited to a single skill and same goes to the attribute progression. The story strikes a great balance between fun and interesting, silly and serious. The variety of weapons, Armour and items is great.
The atmosphere is amazing and the use of music in this game, oh my God. You know it when you play it.
If there is one thing that bugs me, is that I'd love to see an element of chance in the skill check, but that's probably the only thing. On a technical level it looks great and holds up well. It generally works well, apart of few remaining technical issues in a late game and healing darts mechanics (fixed with a game pause).
The branching of the story is very satisfying and between two clear black & white decision there is usually 2-3-4 choice to go with to stay in the gray area, love it.
This is one of the greatest game of all times and I hope we'll see W4 some day, because the story of Rangers goes on...
I liked the gameplay, the setting and story.
Fantastic game!!
My only problem is lack of controller support. Mouse and Keyboard is pretty inaccessible to me but on the scale of mouse and keyboard games this is on the more accessible side of the scale. You can basically play with a mouse only which works great for me.

10/10 - Highly recommended! 🎮
Honestly, I had a good time. Though if you'd want to have a greater understanding of the Rangers and the lore of it all, you'd have to go back to either play the previous 2 (older) games or catch up on all the lore leading up to Wasteland 3.
Still a decent standalone game, though I missed out on quite a bit of lore that could've had changed my decisions here and there. Still a good time. 60hrs for the first playthrough.
Excellent storytelling, great voice-acting and the kind of RPG where you actually have to think upon your decisions, as they all have ramifications. It is a testament to the writing itself that it has at times made me laugh out loud, and other times had me debating with my co-op partner over decisions.
10/10.
Oh, and the way co-op works in this is really good as well.
Wow! This is a quality CRPG! After getting back into the genre and bg3 and dos2 and still unfinished Pathfinder WOTR run: I am finding that Wasteland 3 is a nice change from the other Fantasy worlds and a truly unique and well done game. Reminds my a bit of old Mass Effect but better in like every way.
This game has been one of the most disappointing gaming experiences I’ve ever had, and I feel compelled to break down exactly why it fails on so many levels. Starting with the basics, there’s a glaring lack of tutorials or proper guidance when you first begin. The game just dumps you into the world without explaining the mechanics, controls, or objectives in a meaningful way. For new players, this makes the entire experience confusing and frustrating from the start. It’s almost as if the developers assumed everyone would automatically understand what to do, which is a huge oversight. Instead of feeling like I was gradually learning and mastering the game, I spent most of my time fumbling around, trying to figure out even the simplest things. A proper tutorial or onboarding system is essential for any game, and the absence of it here speaks volumes about the lack of attention to detail.
Once I got past the initial confusion, I realized there was very little to look forward to. The gameplay itself is unbearably repetitive, offering no real sense of progression or variety. Every mission or objective feels like a rehash of the one before it, and there’s nothing exciting to break up the monotony. It becomes painfully clear that the developers relied on padding the game with the same uninspired tasks rather than creating unique, engaging content. By the time I reached the halfway point, I found myself dreading the thought of continuing. A great game keeps you hooked with evolving challenges, creative mechanics, or unexpected twists. This game does none of that – it’s just rinse and repeat, over and over again.
As if the lack of engaging gameplay wasn’t bad enough, the story is absolutely abysmal. It feels like an afterthought, hastily thrown together without any real effort to craft a compelling narrative. The characters are one-dimensional and lack any personality or development, making it impossible to care about them or their goals. The dialogue is clunky and often unintentionally hilarious in how poorly written it is. There’s no emotional connection, no stakes, and no reason to invest in what’s happening. A good story should be the heart of a game, drawing players in and giving them a reason to keep going. Here, the story is more of an annoyance than anything else, dragging down what little momentum the game might have had.
Finally, the overall experience is just plain boring. From start to finish, there’s nothing about this game that feels fresh, exciting, or even mildly entertaining. It’s as if the developers went through the motions of creating a game without ever stopping to think about what makes a game enjoyable in the first place. The pacing is slow, the environments are uninspired, and there’s no sense of reward or accomplishment. Even the visuals and sound design, which could have at least added some charm, are forgettable at best.
Interesting characters and world. RPG elements are all great and have meaningful choices for different play styles. Combat is good and easy to get into, as it is similar to BG3 or Divinity OS1&2. I would recommend for those that enjoy turn based combat and more choice focused games.
Very well-written and catchy RPG. Enjoyed the plot and the enemies and teams. It's worth the money and a well-done job by the developers.
dont bother reading most of the steam review's. the game definetly isn't perfect but its a great game and definetly worth your time. most of he bugs people refer to, are minor and while there are definetly a few things missing from the game which i wish they would have added (propper compainion relationships) i still wholeheartidly reccomend the game
Great game for if you have a baby.
We wanted something like Divinity that we can walk away from at any given moment, or where our 9mo can be held whilst playing, that is co-op. This fit perfectly into our life, was fun, pulled on your morality strings and honestly if Fallout had gone back to its roots and gone in this direction, I don't think it would be as much of a meme as it is now.
Such a great game, baby loved watching it and getting cuddles, and perfect for new parents.
What a terrible, buggy, awful mess of a game. I'm not even complaining about the combat here. This game was shipped with so many bugs and just plain terrible design choices I cannot fathom how this had such a good reception.
I love this game. I've played turn-based games for a very long time and I have to say the combat system is one of the best I've ever played. Normal level is pretty easy. Next time I play, it will have to be on the hardest setting.
The story is not quite right for role-playing. There are choices which are non-Rangerish.
You start off with two non-Ranger members of your squad - stay with those two for the best ending.
Toasters lead to more than toast.
Lockpicking, explosives, weird science, nerd, armor and weapon mods are very handy. Big guns if you want to use the BIG gun.
There are problems with the game. Several known bugs and a few issues with the UI that could have been better. Nothing I know of that would make it unplayable.
Read the book and boards. The mechanics of the game are a bit different from the norm in games. Not bad stuff, but the screen pup-ups when assigning points aren't always what you actually get.
It's basically an XCOM-y crpg with a dialogue and text rich story, lots of satire, camp, and a very explorable world.
My only gripes are 1.) that this game--and least in my experience--takes several tries before it really starts to shine. But once you understand the game's DNA the mechanics feel really intuitive, and the survival economy is fun to navigate. 2.) While choices matter and it's generally fun, this game can be kinda weird about giving you pretty binary choices for decisions that feel like they warrant more complexity.
It would have been nice to have more tooltips and things like that, because I often learn from the loading screen tips way too late into a save. Beyond that? Fantastic game. Hands down a blast.
Some minor complaints is that the game's performance can suddenly degrade and requires restarting the game, and the UI can be finicky in small but annoying ways.
I suspect there's a lot of replayability but I have yet to finish this game once. Highly recommend getting it on sale, but I think it's def worth full price, too!
This is a review from someone who has never played prior titles in the series.
Do I recommend this game? No, for a couple of reasons. I will lists the pros and cons below.
Let me get the biggest negative out of the way first. You CANNOT play the game with the DLCs in offline mode or if you don't have internet access, the game will simply tells you that you don't have DLCs when you're offline, the DRM simply doesn't allow it and that's terrible for players. Why is steam allowing this?
Also the game breaking bugs. Some bugs requires you to load your saves in order to avoid such thing from happening again. The Autosaves aren't frequent enough so if you havent saved in a while, good luck lol.
With those big ones out of the way, let's list out the good things before another bad things about the game.
The writing is great, in fact it's one of the strongest point of the game. The whole narrative of the game encapsulates perfectly what Americana is, even to a non-american like me. The NPC interactions are great, like the Guy with his friend in the CS market talking about his wife's infidelity only to find out that it was just a service drone, and let's not forget about the IRV Clones. 9/10 Writing
The soundtracks, music, and hymns also help support that feel the Spirit/Essence of Americana, like Blood of the Lamb and Power in The Union. 9/10 Music.
With the good ones out of the way, onto the bad ones.
When it comes to gameplay, there is an aspect of it that I don't like. While exploring with Kodiak is fun, the random encounter is not. It's horrible and reminds me of JRPG, while it can be mitigated with skillchecks, random encounter is still horrible no matter how you package it. Terrible balancing in higher difficulty. Aside than that, the roleplaying aspect of the game is quite in-depth and enjoyable. Mid 6/10 Gameplay.
No Mod Support. Wasteland seems like a good game to be played modded, added replayability and variety will always keeps the game fresh. but nope, no mod support. Even the modding scene doesnt seem to bother too much, Nexus Mods for Wasteland 3 is barely filled with anything worthwile.
Forgettable characters I kid you not I don't remember a lot of the characters other than the ones that I always put in my squad and the main antagonists.
The DLCs Steel Town is Okay but Church of Holy Detonation is horrible. I will elaborate further in the DLC pages. Also, make sure to just buy the season pass because it's cheaper and automitcally adds the two DLC for cheap. I accidentally bought the bundles during the sale and found out that it'll be MUCH cheaper to just buy the season pass. Some of the mechanics from the DLC feels like it should be in the main game, like the disruption and non-lethal combat from Steeltown DLC, but I digress.
An in-depth roleplaying experience but ultimately flawed game.
Buy during sale only.
overall i like the game, would be nice to have full controller support for ps4/ps5 controller given the game is released on those platform.
can still play with ps4/ps5 controller but need to use cable, which beat the whole purpose of wireless gig, can also use it wireless but then need to use steam controller input which use different command on screen (we use ps4 controller but on screen it shows A,B,X,Y prompt)
Solid turn-based game, but you have to get used to the specific humor inspired by '80s movies.
Detailed game play, lots of different choices in every play through. Im still finding new things every level of play.
If Fallout and Baldur's Gate had a love child, that prodigy would be Wasteland 3. This game is a great mix of role playing, character development, and tactical turn-based combat. The compelling story, voice acting, and music all help to create the virtual world of post-apocalyptic Colorado. Choices have real consequences which impact the outcome of the game and allow for a variety of replayability options.
Wasteland 3 is a classic. One of the most enjoyable games in this genera in recent years.
What can i say look at my hours played and it'll continue going up as i have been doing everything.
If you like post apoc, fallout, goofy humor, great mechanics, grinding, and just having a solid turn based experience then this is your game.
All Hail Brian Fargo the post apoc mastermind!
