GRIM - Mystery of Wasules is a first-person game which is focused on mystery, atmosphere and exploration elements. To uncover the truth behind the deaths, you will investigate Wasules as Oswald GRIM. The action elements are limited with Spectral State. The main goal of the game is to take the player in a different era and place and attract them with its story. It means there are no combat or explosions of any kind.
About The Story
There are five kingdoms in Dunia. The kingdoms called Dreaborg and Glimor had been in war for 10 years. After the war Dreaborg Kingdom was victorious Glimor was conquered. But suspicious deaths started to occur in the city called Wasules which located in conquered Glimor. Considering this Dreaborg king Owen Grim assigns the protagonist Oswald Grim to investigate these incidents.
You play the game as Oswald GRIM; the youngest and most promising wiseman of Dreaborg. As Oswald, you can observe maps, diaries, governmental records, secret archives and common books to help you discover the truth behind the mystery. Also our protagonist has a special ability called "Spectral State" which allows the player to see the world differently, to keen our protagonsits senses and makes the whispers which the protagonist could hear in some instances constant.
One of the most important points here is that this game does not focus on action or horror. We want you to be excited and thrilled when you are playing this game without having to kill or escape from someone; to feel the atmosphere and the mood of GRIM - Mystery of Wasules and wonder about anything you may find.

I was planning to give this a positive review because, despite the many problems, you can tell that a lot of time and energy went into this project. I truly appreciate the dedication and passion behind it. In addition, the story is decent enough to keep me engaged, and the gameplay is enjoyable if you like walking simulators with light puzzle elements, which I do.
My character never got stuck anywhere, the music is good, the atmosphere is effective, and the world is relatively well done. The lore is extremely detailed, but you're able to skip much of it if you're not interested. I also like the way it indicates points of interest to save you from wandering the open world for hours. It's all very well planned out.
Sadly, this game is just too broken for me to recommend.
1) About half of the items you find to read cannot be read in full because the text is not centered, and it's cut off on the right and bottom.
2) You usually have to find certain items to progress in the game, but they don't always work. Even if you know exactly what to do and do it exactly right, it may not allow you to proceed. This happened in several different areas, and each time, I had to quit the game, completely restart the area, and redo everything before it would allow me to progress.
3) I took a short break from the game, and when I came back to finish up the end, it would not load my game. As mentioned, I've had to quit and reload numerous times before, but for some reason, now that I'm almost done, it won't load and simply kicks me back to the main menu. This is an absolute dealbreaker that I can't overlook. I'll have to replay the entire game (in one sitting, apparently) if I want to finish it. Not cool.
There are also other issues, like the extremely broken English and misspellings in the subtitles. And there's the severe lag and choppiness in many areas, but I don't consider these to be major issues. They're minor annoyances that can be overlooked if the rest of the game is good enough.
UPDATE: So I restarted the whole game and finished it. I did have to take one break, but thankfully it reloaded my game just fine this time. I really do wish I could recommend this, but the technical problems are just too bad. Still, if you have a lot of patience and like playing chill indie games, you may find that you enjoy this game despite its issues.
It could very well be a great game, but I wouldn't know because you can't adjust video setting in the "Settings" menu (you can click on Anti Aliasing, Resolution, Textures, etc until you are blue in the face, you just can't actually change them) so the game is unplayable because everything is skewed off to the side of the monitor with no way to adjust the video resolution/quality to make it playable. And I'm afraid I simply cannot recommend a game whose "Settings" menu is useless....
