Armored Kitten

ARMORED KITTEN
Has a total of 5 trading cards.
(ENGLISH + SPANISH)
The concept of the game is fantastic at first glance: a 2D Doom with a cat as the protagonist. It sounds original, appealing, and fun. And, to be fair, the first half of the game delivers a pretty positive experience. The levels are engaging, dynamic, and keep you hooked. However, there’s a major issue that ultimately ruins the experience: the repetitive nature of the levels and objectives.
The main problem is that, instead of keeping you interested with creative or varied challenges, the game starts relying too heavily on quantity over quality. The objectives themselves aren’t particularly hard to complete, but their sheer number becomes exhausting. For example, early in the game, you get missions like "eliminate a certain number of enemies," which is perfectly fine. Let’s say they ask you to take out 20 enemies of a specific type, that’s reasonable and even enjoyable.
But as you progress, the missions become absurd. Suddenly, you’re tasked with eliminating 430 enemies of a specific type that barely even appears in the levels. 430 times! It’s a ridiculous number that not only breaks the flow of the game but completely takes you out of the experience. What started as entertaining and challenging devolves into something repetitive, boring, and frustrating.
This overreliance on unnecessary objectives turns a game with so much potential into something that feels more like a chore than a source of enjoyment. It’s not about difficulty; it’s about poor design that doesn’t respect the player or their time.
While the concept and the first half of the game are interesting, the repetitive levels and absurd number of objectives ultimately sap all the fun out of the experience. I’m really disappointed, but I can’t recommend this game. If you’re someone looking for fun and a good challenge, you’ll likely feel let down when you realize you’re just ticking off an endless to-do list instead of enjoying the game. It’s a shame, because the concept had so much potential.

I finished the game for 100% because I couldn't get my money back after the game had a bug that the devs didn't want to fix. In addition, there are several bugs and translation oversights.
Meh
Very fun, but very repetitive, it would be nice to have more variation with the levels (maybe some environmental obstacles).
Planning to buy this for my friends.
I like the game, its quite cute and really fun, unfortunately it gets repetitive from the 5th chapter onward. After that every level was quite predictable, and I was tempted to simply finish some of those in a way the developer did definitely not intend, like;
robot protection, round survival and time survival missions were all easily completed by simply positioning yourself correctly, and putting an item on your left mouse button.
The guns available, and all of the boosts are a really nice touch and quite enjoyable.
Most of the text are either bugged and not readable, or grammatically incorrect, or just not translated.
But the story checks out fine, id like to see this game refined a bit, and to revisit it, once done
finally hopped into this game (base game, not the remaster), and it was pretty nice and fun for the first few missions—then the charm wore off really quick.
this game is extremely monotonous and repetitive, and will have you doing the exact same thing for hours and hours. very little replay value. the game also has a lot of quake and doom inspiration in both the visuals (in design; the graphics look like an old newgrounds flash game), music (extremely quake-inspired), and outfits, but also some blatant rip-offs, like literally using the exact same quake pentagram pickup sound effect. for a game called "armored kitten," the game isn't really cute, either. there's also a lot of instances where the english translations are really bad, places where the text is still fully russian, and even places where there's both english and russian text in the same window, despite having picked the english language. the game is also super loud with no volume-adjustment settings.
all-in-all, it was fun at first, then got extremely boring and repetitious, and was a slog to get through.
