If you like challenging Match 3 games, this one might hit the mark for you.
Puzzle difficulty increases as you go, at a good pace.
Expect to repeat levels to get 3 stars on all of them- you can restart each level from the menu button up top during the level, or you can repeat levels by double clicking them on the map after you have completed them.
The art is cute and colorful, and the music fits the setting, though it is very repetitive. (You can turn it to 0 volume in the settings.)
2 Difficulty settings- Easy and Expert.
2 game modes- Casual and Challenging.
Weird issue with the counter in Steam Achievements (doesn't always advance properly), but all achievements will unlock and can be checked on in the in-game achievement window.

No color-blindness options.
Some text is really small and in a font that may be hard to read.
The game really does not explain some things well- like the Torch Power-up. It says to use it to remove spider webs, but you also need to use the torch on the spiders hanging from the top shooting webs at tiles and locking them. You can find an easier level (level 23 was good for me) to replay and torch the spiders for one achievement).
Should be fine for Deaf and HoH players.
May present issues for players with low vision or color-blindness.
The bright colors, sometimes chaotic action on the board, explosions from bombs and rockets, and vague instructions can be over-stimulating and confusing.
Has flashing lights and bright graphics that could be a concern for people with photo-sensitive neurological conditions.

It's a fun Match 3 with some customization for difficulty settings, and it can be addictive and frustrating at the same time.
I have been enjoying it and am not quite done at the time of this review (7.9 hours) and expect a few more hours to complete it. The story is fine for this type of game- don't expect a literary masterpiece, just a simple story in a magical fantasy setting.
Full price seems fine for this game, get it on sale like it is right now ($1.99) for a steal on a fun casual Match 3 game.
One achievement 'damaged'. Crystal Collector - 5 crystal short. Finished all other achievements, so the game was done. Had to play as a second player and complete over 20 levels to unlock the achievement. Otherwise a good match 3 game. Easier and better than the first in the series. Only the first two have achievements, so I will not play the others. Otherwise, I would.
If you enjoyed the previous game in the series, you will enjoy this one too. 100 more levels of Match 3 fun.
A tepid thumbs down, it all works but that is about all that can said for it.
The game is a bog standard match-three game with a cute little story. Unlike the more sophisticated match-three games, it does allow for matches made by drops to be fully effective, making things pretty easy.
There are six power-ups which you pick up pretty quickly. They are pretty basic, and oddly some of them have no use on a lot of levels.
For example there is one that helps you kill imps, but imps are not on a lot of levels.
They can each be upgraded twice using gold coins you collect along the way. It is a straight linear two upgrades, with no variety, options or decisions to be made about how or when to do so.
I maxed them all out a little over half way thru, and as near as I can tell, money means nothing from here on out.
There are 100 levels I think, I got a 'half-way' achievement at fifty. This will make it a very short game for full price. I got it in a decent sale, and it still feels kind of pricey.
It doesn't help that there are EIGHTY levels where you collect tokens that do nothing until you've got them all.
In short, a marked lack of creativity or effort.
Graphics are a tad on the ugly side, animation is okay, music adds nothing but doesn't hurt either. The controls (mouse only after giving yourself a name) work just fine.
If what you are looking for is a simple time waster requiring little to no thought or effort, that you should be able to finish in two or three days, this might be a decent pick up, but don't pay more than 99 cents.
ADDENDUM: 7.6 hours start to finish. A totally lackluster ending, levels never really ramp up the difficulty or anything. Totally blah.
Secrets of Magic 1 and 2 are two of my favourite Match 3 games! I am looking forward to Secrets of Magic 3.
Just as fun as the first one, enough of a challenge to keep you from getting bored but not so challenging that you're pulling your hair out.
Secrets of Magic 2: Witches and Wizards is a standard match 3 game (the move-a-piece-to-make-matches kind).
It can be played in two modes - relaxed or challenge. The latter is to be played with limited moves. Moreover, there's also a "game difficulty" setting which proposes "casual" or "expert". It means more or less obstacles crates/stones and bonuses.
By matching 4 or 5 piecces (any configuration), a bonus is triggered (bomb, missile, etc.). Automatic filling of the screen after a match _does_ also trigger bonusses - when 4 or 5 pieces match automatically.
There are also "weapons" that are acquired at given levels. Said weapons can be upgraded with money that, itself, can be collected while playing (coins hidden beneath some pieces on board). Upon using a weapon (burn a spider web, for example), it will recharge while playing.
I'm at level 20 when I write this review. I've had to set setting to the easiest possible to get 3 stars at level 1 ! So, way too difficult for my taste. Still, even at the easiest possible seeting, it is fun and even challenging with the spiders (spitting webs everywhere) and the demons (demultiplying all the time).
I'm playing this on Win7 64bit without issue.
As good as the first , a great match 3 game.
A charming sequel to the first game.
Now that the main character has studied and gained her knowledge of magic spells, she needs to rescue her parents from the evil witch.
Game play is just like in the first game. Matche 3 or more of the object to clear than from the board. There is always a goal that you have to do (mostly to break free something that has been bound in wooden boxes. There are spiders and imps that try to stop you but you can use your spells (on the right side) once they have powered up) to help defeat them. The spiders are more annoying in this game than the last because there are more of them! I had no problems or glitches during my time playing this game.
The graphics are cute with cartoon story scenes.
Sounds are magically delightful.
Achivements are doable without being too much. (I finished game and got all achievments in under 10 hours according to Steam--felt like much longer!)
I highly reccommend this match 3 game. It's cute, the gameplay keeps you on your toes instead of being boring, and the music and story scenes all come together to make one charming package.
Decent Match-3 game.
Not terribly challenging (I got 3 stars my first playthrough on each level), but about 10 or 15 of the 100 levels require some strategy to get 3 stars. The graphics are colorful, and I didn't experience any bugs. The music is a little odd (the menu screen music reminds me of "Carol of the Bells" which is a weird association to make for spooky game, but most of the music is non-intrusive background music.
I didn't like that I had a brief loading screen between every screen swap, and I hated that I had to replay 71 levels on a second profile to complete the Crystals Collector achievement.
Overall, it's an enjoyable Match-3 game for casual players (although achievement hunters might get a little frustrated).
This is a fun match-3 with something resembling a story as you go along. This isn't particularly difficult, especially after you level up all the tools.
I have the first Secrets of Magic, and this one is just as fun.
10 USD for 10 hours of fun - a lot cheaper than a movie or a manga.
"Secrets of Magic 2: Witches and Wizards" is a fun little Match 3 casual game. It took me 14.6 hours to complete it with all Achievements. Since the list price is just about $10 (and I bought it for about $5), it's definitely worth the money (I'm recommending it). I only have a couple of minor nits with it. First, even though the tutorial explains just about everything, it didn't mention the flask and explosive "tiles" (easily figured out). And, second, even though I got the full 3 stars on level 99 (there are 100 total levels), it only recorded that as 1 star. So, after finishing the game, I didn't get the "All Stars" Achievement. Looking at the in-game Achievement area showed I was short 3 stars (297/300 -- which is odd, since with the recorded 1 star on that level, I should have had 298/300). I re-did the level (getting all 3 stars) and this time, it recorded as such (and I got the Achievement). Other than that, no issues at all. A nice, enjoyable game.
