Very entertaining, and required a lot of independent thought. Some of the quests were hard to accomplish. Although there was a guide, the instructions were so simple as to be of no help. Sometimes the instructions left you stuck for hours or days.
I really disliked that the clock was difficult to read because all ones were the letter r.
There were some youtube videos that showed game play, but not for the most difficult ones. Especially the one about buying the toy sword. I went to the appointed place and the event took place, however, I was never given the option to purchase the sword. I could buy other items, but no sword. Instructions just intimated that all you had to do was go to the event at the appointed time, and you'd be able to finish this quest. Another is the one that tells you an invitation is required to start a quest, but not where you got it from.
This is good game with interesting characters, funny dialogs, non-trivial quests. Unfortunately random encounters ruined it for me. To get from plot point A to plot point B, you have to fight through dozens of same boring encounters. Random encounters punish you for exploration and inflate game time.
This game is and fun RPG to play. Just make sure that when you accept a quest to really pay attention to where they tell you to go because if not you may have to wander around until you find what you are looking for.
Oh my gosh where do I start? This game is truly outstanding, the developer clearly is clearly a game fan with a bit of something to suit everyone. Not too hard but not too easy, some brilliant one liners by our Hero!
I would recommend this game a million times over. Have already bought the second even though I keep restarting this just to catch something I missed!
This is a great game. Excellent plot and character development. Great puzzles. Long and involving right to the end. Cannot wait till Eredia 2 arrives.
Unexpectedly quite good! My last RPGmaker JRPGs were mostly from the 2000,2003, and XP eras so I didn't hold much expectations. But I had as much fun with this as I would AAA jrpgs released the past few years that costs 50x more!
This is a great RPG game for those that enjoy classic RPGs.
In this game not at all enemies drop gold and it makes a lot of sense. Why would wolves or other non-human enemies be carrying gold? This makes the beginning a little bit challenging, but you are able to grind for gold after a while. Though you shouldnt need to do it much. The side quest rewards can give you good items and gold. They also have very helpful recommended levels and are great way to get stronger before taking care of the main story.
Many of the bosses will force you to think and use some strategy, so dont expect to just brute force your way through the game - you will need to use buffs / debuffs to your advantage. And maybe the right equipment wont hurt either.
I love the villains and many of the story characters. The Main Character is a little bit obnoxious, but I guess we can't all be perfect.
Highly recommend buying this and I am looking forward to a sequel.
I love this game. It would be better if you could take out runestones from weapons and armor or at least be able to replace the ones you have in them. It's a fun game as it is. Just certain things would probably make people leave better reviews. One thin is you can get a rare sword, but I found no one who could equip it. You get lock picks that can't be used by anyone too.
I hope they include these improvements with the sequel or I won't buy it.
Short:
A great RPG, with a fun cast of characters and lots of detail. I definitly recommend it to anybody looking for a decently sized RPG with more of a focus on exploration and characters.

- Gameplay:
A typical RPG using a party-system simialar to Dragon Quest or FF, even tho it's combat system goes less into depth then either of these. Your parties skill sets and personalities are predetermined and can not be changed (Except for one character, whoose skill set can be decided on between warrior or paladin). This streamlines it for people who are less focused on number crunching, but if you want to carefully craft your own build, this may be a mute point.
Other then combat, there is also a large amount of exploration to be done, as the game has a well sized map, that has a variety of hidden quests, items and bosses. You will have to deal with random encountrs during your travels and exploration though. There are also a variety of puzzles in this game, that can sometimes be very easy or very annoying, if you are not into puzzeling. If you have trouble with where to go next, there is a guide written by a user here on steam.
Characters and Dialogue:
I personally found most characters to be well written and entertaining, even though I did not like the main character for some time, he grew on me after I spend some time on the game. The other party members have memorable personalities and the whole group has some very good banter. The villain(s) mostly well written and most of the supporting cast are at least interesting, even though you may not like every character.
Technical problems:
The game mostly runs smoothly, even though whenever I opened my questlog and opened a certain quest, my frames would be dropping. Other then that, I did find a few bugs, where you could walk through some walls and I did have a problem with the autosafe function once, costing me about two hours of gameplay. The game also crashed a few times during my playthrough.
A story playthrough took me about 40h, without postgame and without doing all quests before finishing the mains story. I ended up beeing overleveled a bit because I did a lot of quest at some point because the game told me, I may not be able to do them after the next story event. If you want to circumvent this, either play on a higher difficulty or try to avoid unneccesary fights.
The game is getting a sequel, so I thought it would be a good idea to finally write this down.
Goodbye
It boggles my mind that anyone could give this game a thumbs down. This is probably one of the best RGP maker games I have played in years. Yes, the protagonist is an arrogant, pompous ass, but the dialogue and banter between all the characters makes him almost likeable.
It is a very large, open world, and not always linear. There are tons of quests, guilds, crafting, exploration...thankfully the quest log helps keep you on track since it can get overwhelming. I'm a completionist, and it took me about 70 hrs to complete. The story is interesting, and the game play is very balanced. Early on, money is a bit of an issue, since monsters don't drop money, but doing quests/contracts helps build up your bank.
Overall, a great game, and I'm looking forward to the next one!
The main character is one of the most unlikable protagonists I've seen in a long time. A lecherous drunken homophobe, why would I ever want to listen to this guy? Much less play as him? The game pacing is pretty slow, and while some of the other characters are interesting the areas are usually too much of a slog to be at all enjoyable.
I am sorry but I have to give this game a negative review. First it takes a good 60-90 minutes before you get through two toons and a starter story. Then you get out in the world and have no way to progress.
The dev made money almost impossible to get. So when you die or need rest you can’t rest in your bed or starter in. Kill slimes, bats, get exp and I guess ingredients that you can’t sell. Become poisoned and due to lack of gold, you can’t rest in an inn, cant revive a dead member and walk around with 1 hp. Congrats dev. While your story seemed ok but to long to get into at start it is 100% BS that you have no way to rest at an inn or generate funds to recover. WTF is ore and bat wings and so on good for if I can’t rest!
All I wanted was 10 gold, but sorry you can't even generate that in this game.
One of the best RPG maker games i've played. The main character's personality is really off putting but if you ignore that everything else is great.
Fun game. If you like old school RPGs like final fantasy, you will like this no question. Only thing I would request for the future is more character ability custimization. I'm the kind of gamer who loves tinkering with stats/abilities/equipment to optimize my party. But this game somewhat lacks that aspect.

Pros:
- Tons to do. Quests are useful, fun to complete, varied. Main story is pretty compelling.
- Choices (some) matter resulting in decreased karma or failed quests
- Balancing was good. The first 1/3rd of the game on Veteran I found brutal but there is an eventual hump that you get over and I found the difficulty balanced out well. Of note, I didn't realize I could run away from battles until literally 40 hours in so maybe that played a part in this opinion. My bad.
- Battles were fun, skills useful, party members varied. Most importantly, no party member was a throw away in battles. I've used them all at different periods.
- Battle system was simple but fun
- Really enjoyed the story, some surprises, surprisingly deep, decent establishment of lore. I could see multiple spinoff games from the story created in this game alone.
Cons:
- I have never hated any character in any TV show, movie, or game as much as I hated this main character. I almost stopped playing multiple times within the first half of the game. It was a combination of his frequent homophobic, misogynistic, narcissistic, juvenile comments combined with the most absurd responses to this character. This guy should have been slapped silly instead of the "tee hee you're so cute" responses he seems to usually get from NPCs. Unfortunately, I'm super late game and he's only had 2 or 3 redeeming moments in this entire game.
- First 1/3 to 1/2 of the game money is BRUTALLY tight, even for JRPGs. After 1/2 way part, money became no object.
- It could really benefit from some modern advances (most notably a world map, ability to sort inventory, etc.), some more polish on some elements of the game (esp the crafting system which was nearly useless).
- End game it just seems like dev looked at it and said, "Man, I just gotta get this game out there" as it doesn't feel nearly as polished or complete, just rushed. I understand that there's a sequel to this one day in the works but the end game just feels a bit disconnected.
TL;DR
- Surprising JRPG that's been a ton of fun to play, especially if you can overlook the horrible main character. I'd say worth every penny full price (currently 7.99). It'll keep you entertained for a good 30-50 hours, even if the end game seemed very rushed. It's one of those that would have been a near instant classic (again, aside from the main character and the lack of endgame polish) had this been released during the glory days of the PS and SNES. 10/10 would buy this game again, 15/10 if the main character stuck with the classic Cloud text of "..."
This game is awesome. There's tons of quests to do and the world is pretty open. The combat system is turn based but it's really well done with a trait and combo system that adds a lot of depth. I also loved how you can upgrade your gear with runestones. The story is decent and really makes you care about the characters. Looking forward to the sequel
I have been following this game since its beta phases and played tons of it, so if you're wondering why I have a short-playtime being shown here, then that's why. ;) Now I'm excited to indulge in this game once again in its full version glory!
I was already impressed with its amazing visuals, colorful set of characters, involving story-line and character driven plot, and its outstanding additional features like real-time day and night system, world map fast travels, exciting side quests and many more!
Not only that, the developer himself, RishigangiX is a really nice person with a wonderful creative talent! :D
This game has tons of content, amazing enough for me to write a review for this full version! I will do a first impression LP for this game soon, to prove to you guys how polished and great this game is, and maybe even, convice you guys to get it as soon as you can! ^_^

- Tons of side-quests to get distracted by
- Really intriguing plot with awesome and funny characters
- Gameplay is balanced enough, and really gets you pumped up
- Music is great
- Overflowing with content and hidden stuff (Open world goodness)
- Mini games and puzzles if you're into them!
- Cool custom artworks for each playable characters!
- First person battle system that's actually very engaging
And yes, I didn't put in a con, cause guess what? I myself couldn't find any faults to it as it is nearly a perfect experience. ;)
Conclusion: Highly Recommended! Any fans of classic JRPGs will definitely love this! ^_^ So what are you waiting for? Load up that steam wallet and get this game! The price is right and maybe even too generous for the amazing content that Eredia has to offer! :)

I'm probably gonna add more into this review while playing the full version! ;) Again, I'm basing this current review off my play time on its beta phase.
This is a standard RPG Maker with standard RPG Maker battle system; but infused with a lot of script and plug in. Make your RPG Maker game experience a bit different from before. But despite all of those enhancement, this game still an RPG Maker game. So if you have play a lot of RPG Makers game around, you won't find "WOW' when you see the enhanced graphic and system in this game.
But, it is not the system that make me crazy with this game, It is the story and the game experience that make it worth for me to buy it. Just look at it, many RPG Makers game in Steam has only 2- 20 hours of gameplay, but this give you more. for a player who hate to grind like me, the game offer a lot of feature and missions that make me "sucked in" without the feeling of boredom.
That's because most the missions don't bring you to a never ending dungeon that force you to grind. But instead, you can get of missions that have a great deal of variety. A lot of them have it's own story that won't bore me even when I take a lot of missions from this game. Like Criminal Investigation, saving Alnce from a Wonderland, etc.
But the main drive that make me attached to this game is it's characterization. The main character, Kenrad Krauser is so my kind of hero. He reminded me of Rance (Yes, Rance. For you who know him, and have play Rance game, yes, it's him. But without the luck for women, and doesn't has a cute slave like Sill. Of course, with different appearance too).
This Kenrad has grow a lot in my heart, to make me wonder on how will his character be developed in this game. I want him to success, while an old fortune teller in the game said that he will become a drunk who sleep at the river, without any women accompany him in his life (doh, I hope it won't be happen).
But there are another characters who are interesting. Like Elric. An ex gangster who is hunted by his gang just because he kiss his boss in front of a client. The prince who is Kenrad main rival because he has the opposite personality and adored by so many women, unlike Kenrad (oh I hate him, I want Kenrad to become the next RANCE!!!!! He must get out of my party, QUICK!), and many others who have their own personality and backstory.
Because of Kenrad, I already want the next installment of this game (Sequel). Because I know that a single game won't give justice for my favorite hero to shine. He deserves more. So dev, please hurry to make the continuation of this game! Although I haven't even finish it... yet.
Highly Recommend : 8/10 (Interesting Story, Detail and Huge Game World
I love RPG Maker Games, but lately most of the RPG Maker games that I have played are just slightly above mediocre. However, I would highly recommend this game and even though it is a bit pricey. I paid full price of $8, but it is definitely worth it.
This game have nice graphics, and a very interesting story line. It almost feel like a huge open world game, with a lot of detective-style puzzle solving. The hero also engaged in livefly banter. Despite being quite egoistical, the heroes and his group are quite endearing.
A good game is nothing without great game mechanics and lots of grindings. This game have both. I also like the way money are tightly control, so that you will not have enough money to always buy the things you want. Non human monsters do not drop gold/money, which make it all the more compelling to do all the little secondary quests. The quests are all well thought out and require quite a bit of problem solving too.
There are also various hidden variables like Karma, Friendship, etc that are not visible to you, but will indirectly affect you in this game. This helps to keep me on my toes, and read each conversation carefully and pick the best decision. However, since you may not see the consequences of your decision immediately, and you cannot inspect the hidden variables, this add tension and suspence to the game. I love it, and actually keep multiple save games.
Anyway, I am going back to my game. Check out this game if you are an old school RPG gamer like me.
I've been following this project since it's inception, have helped it grow by contributing as an editor, proofreading and bug-testing, and it truly is a gem. The game spans a good chunk of time for the hardened explorer and even for the casual player, it offers some truly unique challenges. From my time with the game, it offers a unique story with an unconventional protagonist who was written to be polarizing.
Pros:
A cast of quirky, compelling characters with their own motivations and goals.
Many unique sidequests that are much more than simple fetch quests.
A lot of content of variable types
Meaningful day/time system
Lots of crude humor, but overall a heartwarming tale of comrades and struggling to get by
Cons:
Sometimes very wordy
Subjective things:
The main character is going to either be loved or hated
Several characters are exactly dynamic
The world changes to their actions, not them being changed by the world.
Don’t be fooled by my rather short steam playtime; I’ve gotten early access to this game, and have finished it before.
Pros:
- Nice old-school battle system.
- Various systems to mess with, like crafting.
- Multiple alternate endings, two of which are in the demo!
- Nice character designs. Ruro is bae.
- The custom artwork is high-quality. Kudos to Sage Takeda!
- The RTP and other royalty-free resources are put to good use.
- Interesting story with a good amount of humor (and puns!).
- Quite a few of the contracts have interesting plotlines. One of my faves is The Amorous Ogedian. I’m surprised a certain screenshot from that isn’t on the steam page xD
Cons:
- Battle system is rather archaic in parts, like how you can’t switch out your party members easily. Golden Sun had it down in the early 2000s. Does the RMMV community not have scripts for that feature?
- The playable characters could use more character development. Other than two of them, they stay the same throughout pretty much the whole game.
- Only has one normal battle theme. Would’ve been nice to have a different normal battle theme play after a certain point in the game, to better give the feeling of progression.
- Quite a bit of the text could use some touching up.
- Quite a few bugs, though they're just minor ones.
Fashion nitpicks (for fun):
- Ruro’s design could use a bit more yellow to accentuate the purple. I think she’d look nicer if her hair decs and sash were gold-colored. I’d replace the grays with purple, too.
- I’d replace the red on Sharina’s outfit with the blue she has on her skirt, and make the greens all the same shade.
[*]For Kenrad, I’d replace the darker blues with a very dark gray, and I’d add some white for better contrast (and so his outfit doesn’t look too dark).
Overall, I like this game quite a bit, and despite the cons, it’s quite a bargain for a game under eight dollars (at the time of this writing).
