After managing to escape death row, a poor unfortunate little marshmallow with blood on their hands cannot shake a past that shackles them. They're sinking into an abyss of surreal horror, isolated but not alone. Join this terrible yet heartbreaking little marshmallow, a mysterious and intrusive romantic named Simon, a gang of friends who may not even be real, and other strange characters as they struggle in a hell of doubt... What's even the point? Is there any future our tortured little marshmallow can look forward to?
Creepy mementos of love... A plague that makes people stare at dirt... A familiar yet grown up face of someone who should be dead... What do all of these things have in common? When the fangs behind our facade sink deep into the mind and reflect our darkest thoughts, it becomes a struggle to not let our shadow take over.
A semi-sequel/spin-off to Close Your Eyes, though made so it can be played stand-alone.
A 3D surreal horror game that combines fixed camera angles with 2.5D elements. The game is mostly focused on its dark world that is occasionally littered with a strange threat or puzzle. Things start off a bit slow but gradually escalate, all while being mindful to pace itself and balance a level of intrigue, involvement and introspection.
Travel between several strange locations, varying from a decrepit theater to a small forest village with no people in it, partake in strange events and overcome any challenges that may come your way. But be wary, things are often not what they seem.
- An intense yet odd atmosphere backed by an original soundtrack.
- A strange and cryptic narrative about loss, meaning, connection, and suffering.
- Quiet horror that settles into a mood rather than rely on jumpscares, paced to keep things interesting.
- Blending together scenes utilizing fixed camera angles as well as 2.5D gameplay with the depth of 3D.
- Scratch deep beneath the skin to reveal new flesh; the game is an entry into the ever expanding 'Yai Gameworks' universe.
No one has full control over themselves, no matter how much some of us wish we did.

Definitely full of new surprises with a new perspective change, also a follow up to Close Your Eyes I believe?
Some places gave me the eebie-jeebies and some full of surprises! Exploring these areas definitely gave a new experience so you definitely won't get bored of this one. Although still waiting for Act 3 so will conclude how it will turn out.
traumatizing. nice game!!
This game has some rad ideas but the execution is kind of iffy, the devs has some great ambition when it comes to this game but it felt really hollow. I would reccommend it to people who likes this sort of games but as for me... I don't see myself invested in this game, the story is somewhat cool, I guess? The ideas are sick and the visuals and choice of perspective are just awesome, the big problem for me was mainly the characters and gameplay, the puzzles were comprehendable but movement just felt really sluggish, the characters were cool to look at but their personalities were just a little to forced or at least felt forced. For example, the purple hair girl, I forgot her name, just didn't felt like a genuinely well thought of character. I couldn't even remember their name, I wasn't engaged but all I know is that the character was your victim since the mc killed her, I think? The guy whom speaks of random poetical nonsense, or whatever, is a little to loud and just flat. I get what the devs were aiming for and it is a really good idea but it felt like a highschool sophomore level of writing and that's exactly what I thought it is, a school project. The music was alright but I really hated the segment for that purple hair girl, the song was probably Joji? But whatever it was it just sucked, when it comes to putting music to express a character it has to be a song that matches the character extremely well. In this case it just seems like it was just thrown in there because it was probably the devs' favorite song or whatever, it was a really poor choice.
The game is alright, I didn't enjoy it but I'd only reccommend it to those who like these types of games, I got it for dirt cheap.
weird and boring
At first, I was iffy about this title. I wasn't certain how to feel about the shifting moods, the lore drops, and the overall pacing of the piece. But, that's when I thought the answers had been simple, and, while I didn't mind them per say, I hated that an originally cryptic and winding story had so many of its mysteries solved so quickly and easily. Yet, upon playing it a few times, I noticed a lot of details I had missed, and that the story was far from completely unwound, adding plenty of interesting mysteries and lore to the first game.
While originally I disliked the shifts from light to dark, and they may be confusing or seem even mood ruining to a first time player, after giving it more consideration, I finally understood their purpose. In the wider narrative of games that have always been very psychological, following Little Marshmellow's past and regrets, these shifting moods/scenes are actually such a good way to showcase his depressive mental state, having highs and lows, and being unsure how to feel. With the return of the host, it's also a rather cruel way to confuse both the character and the player, giving them small moments of calm and relief, only to have the overall horror and sorrow of the main character's life come pouring in again.
So, while it may originally be off putting to those with Close Your Eyes still fresh in their mind, and has a different horror style than other Yai Gameworks titles, I think, upon closer inspection, fans of Close Your Eyes will find this style works brilliantly with the current narrative. It represents a greater idea and bigger whole, showing a new, learned touch of subtly on the creator's part, and I adore that.
As for the lore drops, they're done in a satisfying way that gives us more information about Little Marshmallow, while also and skillfully keeping the cryptic and symbolic style of the original Close Your Eye game. I do hope arc 3 gives us more clarity, not too much if they plan to release a more proper sequel, but enough not to drag it on for too long. We'll just have to wait and see, and I greatly look forward to seeing the direction of part three.
Though each arc feels very short at first, they do what they have to, and branching dialogue paths give it replay value along with expanding and fleshing out what may have appeared as too one note or short the first time. Still, if arc 3 is potentially the last arc, I hope it is made longer considering all the previous arcs have given the creator to work with. But, so far so good and there's a lot of potential in this project story wise.
Presentation wise, the style isn't top down like the rest of their games, yet this makes for some very cool scenes and can add to the horror/suspense elements. Certain scenes were definitely more unsettling because my vision was restricted, though the game never punishes you for the restrictions of your camera, which I appreciate. While the camera did have it's wonkier moments, I didn't experience any that made it difficult to play or caused me to lose/die.
Compared to their other games, it also feels much smoother to play overall. Gone are the near impossible puzzles that take hours to complete, or the winding paths or large areas where it's difficult to tell where to go next. This title keeps it simple, with patterns of progression that make it easier to catch on and continue the game. I've also noticed, while previous titles (for reference, I've played Close Your Eyes, the old version, Take The Dream IX, and Red Haze) had most items be clickable with descriptions, distracting players like me into clicking everything just in case its important, Feast Your Eyes mostly does this for environments with a lot to take in, and, when things become more serious, only for important/changed items. These sound like small changes, yet give the game its own unique flair and smoothness. It's always very satisfying to see a creator improve in these ways, making their wonderful stories more accessible for players.
While the game isn't finished quite yet, upon exploring the currently released elements further, I'm very excited for this game. It shows a lot of promise, and I'm glad to see the cast and story of Close Your Eyes still being given love by the creator, though I suspect most of their games may be connected in one way or another. Either way, I can't wait to find out and see where the story takes us. Though it has taken a while, I'd rather have a fully fleshed out and well thought out arc 3 over a rushed or forced one.
Promising game but unfinished, third and final act was promised more than a year ago and no news since.
Won't be buying from this developer again.
SO FAR this has been a real treat, a few moments have really made shivers run down my spine.
Pretty hyped for Act 3, hopefully it comes out soon!
Interesting presentation with a dream like feel. The first person grid based movement is ok but it can be a little hard to see things that are on the wall. Maybe there is a look up down button and I didnt found it. owo
Another great and creepy entry in the "close your eyes" universe.
If you enjoy your horror slow, gradual, atmospheric, and crunchy, then I will always suggest the work of Aesthetic Gamer. This is no different, and well worth the price of admission.
The man is also a wizard with RPG Maker MV, and has really learned to make the engine sing!
Another incredible experience from Yai Gameworks, wonderfully emotional and terrifying. Little Marshmallow's story continues in a heart wrenching and pant pissing adventure that challenges your puzzle solving abilities and morals. I absolutely cannot wait for act 3.
Incredibly intense, moody, surreal yet real. Those are the words that initially come to mind fresh off Act 1. FYE pulls a grand sum of zero punches in terms of content but handles it all in a mature, artful way that's still disturbing -- and might have you leaving some lights on tonight. Voice acting is on level with Close Your Eyes, if not better, and the music/audio is fitting, chill, and modern... a hellish audioscape... a deeply harrowing nothingness.... whatever it needs to be, and it does it so well. 3 USD honestly feels like highway robbery. Nothing but praise for Feast Your Eyes -- I can't wait to see where AestheticGamer takes us....
This is honestly such a good game, i'm not really sure what genre it fits because there are horror elements but it's used as a story telling device instead of being an outright scary game. There are times where i felt kinda scared, sad and found things funny and I have a feeling that the next 2 acts are gonna be the same in terms of the types of emotions it'll make you feel just on a more intense scale and I'm most certainly here for it.
More than excited for Act 2 & 3 cos so far i really like this game! The soundtrack is criminally good too (all in my opinion ofc)
Definitely worth the wait. ♡
A mid tier Yai Game, Can't wait for act 3
Aesthetic Gamer, being a horror game connoisseur that he is, particularly excels at nonlinear narrative, creating an immersive atmosphere that often feels like a blend of Silent Hill and Yume Nikki, and just being a resourceful developer in general - making a substantial world out of primitive homebrew assets, and even doing some voice acting himself (which has improved significantly). Drawing may not be one of his talents, however, I have to say that the simple graphics, combined with 3D perspective and creative visual effects in this game, work very well when compared to a top-down view, I enjoy his art style in this specific format. This game is not complete yet, I managed to finish the first act around 45 minutes, it had some branching dialogue so I suspect that we may see multiple outcomes or secrets sprinkled throughout the game, but I will hold of until the journey is complete. Pros: Cons:
I played most of his games to some extent, even though they generally tend to overwhelm me with confusing pathing to submission, but I found the pacing and navigation in 'Feast Your Eyes' more enjoyable. There was never a dull moment in the 45 minutes of the first act, every 30 seconds the visuals or the narrative was grabbing my attention. Aesthetic Gamer generally does a great job with jump scares that do not feel cheap, there is always a build-up in tension, and even when he reserves to a loud visual effect, it is used sparingly. While most indie horror games have a linear story progression from start to finish, Dusk Golem tells a narrative in a disjointed manner, like collecting lost memories, creating that psychological effect. On that note, I find that this game has some parallels with Silent Hill as the character seems to be punishing himself.
+ as always with AG, compelling narrative and characters
+ I enjoyed simple visuals, fun use of perspective
+ I think the voice acting improved a lot
+ atmosphere and jump scares were done well
+ good choice of soundtrack and music
I don't have any significant criticism at the moment, the experience was well-paced and I enjoyed just about everything. Sometimes games by Aesthetic Gamer have an occasional stutter, but I only noticed it in a few locations and it was tolerable.
Overall Thoughts:
I think Aesthetic Gamer has improved as a writer, voice actor and horror game developer over the last several years. If the following acts will be paced just as well, not only it might be his best game yet, I think it could be one of the better indie horror games that I played. It's very cool how resourceful he and his fanbase can get with a limited budget, not many people can make homebrew sound effects, voice acting, music, narrative, art and programming. Of all the things that come together to create an immersive experience in this indie game, I am specifically impressed by the writing, the world feels bigger than I can see, it reminds me a lot of Silent Hill and the mystery that surrounds it.
