Great game if you love minesweeper or hexcells. Works perfectly on Steam Deck. Not sure why it isn't verified.
Should probably have payed attention to the "unsupported on steam deck" label but yeah. 5 hours played, 40 puzzles done and my save file gets randomly wiped. Not sure what happened but this is a first for me on the deck.
As a massive Hexcells fan, this game is just what I needed. I've played less than half an hour so far, but I can already tell that it's beautifully crafted and builds up the challenge nicely. An absolute bargain!
A superb take on Minesweeper with handcrafted puzzles. One of the best—if not the best—on the market so far.
the puzzles are good
LOVE this game. If you like stuff like sudoku & minesweeper and hate guessing, u'll love this too
My personal gold standard for these kinds of puzzles, and tough as nails. A game I keep revisiting every now and again and it's always a joy.
A truly excellent waste of time.
there's so so so many mines to sweep. in this big beautiful world
Love these types of Puzzle games, and there's plenty of tough (and easy) puzzles on here to enjoy. The price tag is just right (although I got it on sale... can't justify new full priced games with the huge backlog I have here on steam lol). The puzzles never require guessing, but some do have some beastly logic to work through (which I love, but some might not). Still working my way through this, and I find it a nice chill game to play when I just kinda want to relax (I find deep focus on a fun/difficult activity very relaxing).
The platonic ideal of a logic game.
this game is like the math nerd puzzle version of haiku writing. in this game, because you never have to guess
EVER, you can investigate any single part of the puzzle and discover information that is somehow relevant to your overall progress. it feels truly incremental in a way no other puzzle game really has for me, that ANY progress is GOOD progress. oh, and it's minesweeper. this shit FUCKS. HARD.
If you like minesweeper-esque puzzles, this is the game for you! It features lots of beautiful logic and is gentle in how it presents it--it introduces you to logic in its basic form in the early levels before making you apply it in a more difficult manner later. Keep in mind, that does not mean the puzzles are easy (in fact, a couple friends have reported that it's too hard for them), but that the puzzle design and progression is very well done.
Perhaps my favorite part is how well the clues come together: there was almost no point where I felt unsure of where to look because the puzzles are constructed in such a way that areas of interest stick out, creating a fluid solving experience. And even when you know where to look, the logic on many puzzles keeps you thinking, which is something many other puzzles I've played lack. It makes the puzzles that much more satisfying to solve, since you have to work for your finish.
Some things to note are that the UI you choose is all set up during the launch of the game. I know I overlooked this at first. Additionally, the hints in the extra cube levels weren't entirely intuitive to me--they were fair, but confused me a number of times. Aside from that, I have almost no complaints, and would very much recommend this game if you're looking for a good mental exercise!
A purely logic based (and just more fun) version of Minesweeper that doesn't leave you with those annoying 50/50 situations. It also does well at being challenging, but not so challenging that it's not fun to play anymore. You may get stuck for a bit, but if you take your time you will eventually find the solution.
Excellent innovations off of Minesweeper
I can't go back to regular Minesweeper after playing this... It's SO GOOD. Awesome to take a puzzle at a time when you need a break etc.
As others have already pointed out: one of the best if not the best minesweeper type of game around. The design of the puzzles is superb.
hand-crafted minesweeper puzzles that always have a nice twist and are very good on the go.
A richly varied, extensive collection of hand-crafted Minesweeper variant puzzles.
It's Minesweeper, and while fairly difficult, there is no required guesswork. You get what you pay for, at well over a 1:10 hour ratio.
The only potentially-negative aspect is that the game punishes you for mistakes, by flagging the entire level, which is fine until you realize this can be bypassed by screenshotting the current state of the board. If you want 100% and aren't interested in redoing the puzzle, it may become tedious if you trip mines often.
Autismo prime gameplay, love it, my friends think im not normal anymore
Great game you can chill out and play at your own pace. Definitely worth checking out. Doesn't have the visual quality of Hexcells infinite, but more than makes up for it in variety and increased difficulty.
Looking for a minesweeper variant that could challenge you in a fair way? Don't have much money left in your account? Need a game to put on the background while listening to a podcast or an album? Man, do I have the game for you.
Tametsi comprises more than 100 levels that feel like they were crafted by an artisan and to be fair probably were based on the storefront description. In fact, none of them require you to guess at any point where a mine might be based on probability, your next step can always be determined logically by careful observation and reasoning based on the rules applied to that board. Of course, those rules can be quite tricky to get used to considering not every cell is a square, not every level follows the same neighbouring criteria and color regions can play a big factor on what remains. Nonetheless, once you're through to the other side the accomplishment is quite rewarding.
While the game lacks any kind of music and barely has a few sound effects that doesn't make its presentation inherently bad but rather quite accessible. In fact, there are a couple of options that you can toggle to make your experience more suited to you like a colorblind mode, one that shows the remaining mines for each cell instead of their total, and so on. Furthermore, in case you misclick or make a mistake you can always undo your last move and complete the level by brute force. While I personally don't find that as engaging and the game marks levels completed without making mistakes differently you still have that option.
To sum up, this has been the best version of the classic game I've played so far. For a dollar this was more than worth the purchase.
absolutely awesome game, great time sink and something ive poured a lot of time into.
good puzzles and good challenges in every level. highly recommended
woahhhh this gmae isl ike minesweeper but coool? help
Reasonably fun, very challenging and sorely lacking in any ambient puzzle music; visually also quite plain; however a very good variety of minesweeper style puzzles and LOTS to do which makes up for a lot of its shortcomings.
This is a pretty minesweeper game
Pros:
Puzzle quality is as good as it can be for such game.
Quite neat and clear interface.
A lot of customizable options at the start (most noticeable dynamic clues that shows how much is remaining instead of total).
A very neat difficulty curve, the start is easy and the end has something to sit through.
No content locking - the game provides option to skip some puzzles.
Quite simple drawing mode to mark things.
Cons (those didn't bother me much but it is something that can be improved):
No option to click on tile that sees all its mines to reveal all remaining adjacent tiles in one click.
Drawing palette is tiny and it is hard to choose specific color.
No option for drawing tranclucent, like 50% opacity.
Region colors are not consistent so it is not possible to pick a single drawing color for the entire game.
best minesweeper puzzle game i have found
i got the tetris effect but with this game. like i will see my friend standing next to a tree and go "my friend is 3. the tree is a mine. she has 2 mines remaining." my brain does this involuntarily. i've dreamed about tametsi puzzles a couple times. it fucking sucks i love this game
Simple rules that lead to surprisingly difficult puzzles, one of the best puzzle games I've played
Most of the puzzles are excellent, a few of the harder ones can require too many "if this then that" strings.
The core mechanics are awesome and I really want to like this game but the level design is just not fitting for a "game".
Right after the tutorial you already have to use the drawing mode or start guessing wildly.
There's no easy start, nothing to be engaged by and no flow. "hexceed" executes this far better. Each puzzle has a few difficult spots but in general is rather easy to solve. There's a satisfying flow to it.
Here each puzzle takes forever to solve properly; Explains the "40 hours of gameplay" on the store page...
Is this a Ubisoft game?!
I'd probably rather buy a magazine of Sudokus or play the daily crosswords puzzle than playing paint on my computer.
This game made me found joy in suffering. Every time I boot this game up, I find myself staring at squares and hexagons, trying to figure out what could possibly be the next clue. Maybe I have to try to hypothetically solve the entire board to prove this configuration isn't possible by contradiction (and miserably fail), or maybe I accidentally marked a mine wrong and I just stared at the screen for 20 minutes for something that would've been trivial. Who knows? But the answer's definitely somewhere.
Highly recommended if you find Hexcells Infinite too easy.
Banger game
I'm about half way through the entire game (mostly just the bonus lvls left). I've enjoyed every hour of this game but there's certain aspect that occasionally makes me want to give up on solving a puzzle.
1. Scribbles are not saved per level. I'm kind of forced to commit to solving the same puzzle until it's done unless I want to redo my notes.
2. can't change the color of my right clicks scribble.
3. can't display my notes as slight translucent overlay when I toggle away
4. can't click the yellow boarder numbers while in scribble mode for the yellow strike through lines
This is a super old game, I'm honestly not expecting any updates but I will not be myself if I don't at least get a word in on how I wish the game could be.
Awesome minesweeper variant! Difficult, but all the puzzles have logical solution.
It took me a while to discover the quality-of-life features. I don't understand why all the settings have to be set before the starting the actual game. Really inconvinient, especially if you want to try out different things to see what works better for you.
Competitive minesweeper
Wow, this is really good! Tametsi is an "artisan's minesweeper". There are a few extra rules, but the main draw is hand crafted levels that can be logically solved from beginning through end without any guesswork. Levels get challenging pretty quickly, which is a plus in my book, and variety in rules, size and shapes keeps deductions varied enough. The game is also big, there's a lot of puzzle to sink your teeth in.
i love this game! It has tons of unique mechanics, such as ?s,numbers in rows and colours. It also has a variety of shapes and sizes including orthogonal squares. the only downside is the negative mine counter but overall, pretty good! 4.95/5
Excellent puzzles. It gets quite hard (after the first 50 puzzles or so), but everything is brilliantly crafted, and nothing ever feels unfair once you understand the logic.
One of the best, but also hardest Picross-likes.
Do diagonals count? Do they not? Who knows.
Yes, I dug through the forums to find the answer. Would be nice if the UI did a better job of helping. Or maybe just make the ruleset consistent.
I sweepa the mines.
Highly recommend this game for both people who play puzzle games all the time, as well as people dipping their toes into the genre. I think everyone vaguely knows how minesweeper based games work so there's a low barrier of entry. Fun and it's visually nice to look at too.
Great minesweeper-type game so far. I've played a lot of Hexcells and fell in love with this very quickly.
Not as zen as "Hexcells" but just as much of an improvement over Minesweeper in that every puzzle has a solution. However, this one is additionally good in that the cells are varying sizes, shapes, and colors, creating interesting mosaic patterns in the process. .
made me feel stupid
Recommended for people who like puzzle logic games similar to Minesweeper and Hexcells, but much more challenging.
starts like hexcell, but gets better and HARDER :)
still , a very very good logic game
I'm only on level 9 but I can already tell this is peak
