Overview: 3D runner, is a bit hard-core game-play to see an obstacle ahead, controls a bit sluggish. It seems a port or re-use of another game. Launching it opens Steam VR, but it doesn`t run in VR mode - has none. game is not good by itself.

It's been 3 years, I don't think multiplayer is coming. I'll start off by saying I enjoyed the music and was surprised with the amount of music in the game. That being said, there was nothing else I enjoyed about this.
You often spawn directly in front of obstacles which leads to instant death. An odd choice, and an annoying one. You run down a short city corridor before you make a 90 degree turn down another identical street. This repeats and the speed of your zombie increases.
It's not very enjoyable, and I would not recommend it.

Hardcore ZBoy is an astonishing level of achievement that this quality of an infinite runner could get brought here to Steam for the world to buy. As mentioned before, it's indeed an infinite runner where you can sway left, right and jump. The game comes to corners where I assume you're supposed to turn, but alas, no button on the controller turns so I end up scraping my zombie's face against the wall unable to see, because the camera never turns either.
From the moment you start the game, you're dumped onto an object that causes a game over. Oh, but you're in luck, because this game shuffles its pieces so what might be an instant death within the first second of the game five times in a row, can be a safe, vacant street the sixth time.
Your zombie character will fall through the floor from time to time. Its interesting, because once he fell through and I was allowed to keep running and jumping as he dissipated into a white light below. Other times, the prefabricated terrain will disappear. Its quite disastrous, but disastrous so fast, there's no waiting to see it.
If you're here to take the game serious, the objective is to eat as many brains as possible. Well eat or collect. You touch a giant floating brain, it disappears, I assume they are kept in a pocket inside the zombie's body in one way or another. The game shows your record and by record I mean your distance. An actual record would be keeping track of a previous distance so you can compare this distance to your record of longest distance. Leaderbaords would have been nice, but I hear I should review the game for what it is, rather than what it should be.
For anyone wondering how could this developer make such a similar game to other developers, there is an official video tutorial somewhere explaining how to make this exact infinite runner. Then I assume the assets get dumped in. The problem here is there's no twist to make it the developer's own. Plus the actual tutorial works better than this.
The trailer lets you know what you're in store for, but if you're blind or reading this review without bothering to look at the game, I hope you can tell the level of quality. SteamDirect made its money and chances are Hardcore ZBoy could become legendarily bad, but the problem is, it's bad in the first second. It's bad before you get into the game, because the trailer is bad and the menu options are bad and patched together using text boxes. Sure you can make an entire game and a company logo, but you can't muster the user interface to be better? There's no bad that keeps coming, you've seen its flaws in the trailer and from the instant you start playing. Its one of those games that's so bad, people will be angry at Steam for swindling this developer's money via SteamDirect.
The bottom line here is no achievements, no cards, no leaderboards, no turning at turns and in general no fun. Every minor thing that would bolster a game's check boxes fails to be here. Hardcore ZBoy avoids mediocrity of the middle ground that is so-so and hits the mark of a terrible game with gusto. It's one of those games so bad that it made me jealous to read my friend's review and I thought oh now this I need to play!
Unfortunately this game is a complete waste of time and you shouldn't spend any money on it.
i bought this game like an asshole lmfao that is what i get for not reading reviews! 1. Jump does not help atall to avoid crap or jump over things you do a backflip bassically. 2. it is glitchy. 3. you die way to fast if i am a zombie i should be able to take a beating. 4. why would i run away from humans when they should be my main food source. 5. why do i run faster yet my direction buttons are still slow it is impossible to get very far. 7. there are glitches where i end up smaking into the obstacle where i spawned bassically inside it and 8. the graphics are not that great but workable for me lol. pros 1. the sound track is great though like most metal type music i can not understand most the words he is screaming into the mic but idc lol. overall i have no clue why steam is not letting this be totally free seeing as worse a game is the less you should pay for it in my opinion plus idk how it even got on steam in the first place i think steam is desperate for more games so people use it instead of other pc gaming apps like origin {wich origin sux ass took me a whole week to make it work it kept saying i was offline meanwhile steam, google, netflix exct all worked and i was connected to wifi!}... but whatever just do not be dumb like me do not get this game or see if you can get it on sale for 10 cents it's worth about that much haha! Member always look at the reviews cuz the more people complain about 1 or more aspects of the game the more then likely is a true statment and you should avoid the game/app then! have fun with other games rock on gamers!

Hardcore ZBoy isnt a funny game, it isnt unique, it isnt even a good looking game. Hardcore ZBoy is a failed attempt at a cash grab, it is patheticly awful and should NOT be on steam at all. This is the kind of game that can be made in unity in a few days max. It has glitches, it has bugs, it has awful physics, the random generation of the game means that 1 out of 5 times you will spawn inside a sign and die, other times your character wont turn and you will just hit the wall infront of you and die.
If, like me, you get a discount on this game and you want to test it, then please dont forget to refund it, this developer doesn't deserver any of your money.
Got this game 90% reduced for 10 cents.
This game is not really fun to play, all you do is run around as a Zombie while avoiding obstacles and collecting brains.
Surviving will grant you "Record", while Brains give nothing. You will also run faster every second, yet the controls or physics don't change accordingly. If you die you have to wait everytime.
Don't play if your not into glitches.
