Playing this game brings back memories of the classic game Eternal Daughter. It looks nice and you'll feel like you want to keep playing to see what's next, but eventually it's impossible because it's built on the fatally buggy Fusion engine. You'll find glitches that get your player stuck, or sinking into a floor until you're trapped in a wall or in the wrong room, or you have to try a dozen times to get it to jump right. It's a shame.
Anahita is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs, and boy, if these "developers" really are the troglodytes behind the cancer that is ClickTeam Fusion, well, the quality of this mobile app explains a lot. The mobile app is a (badly) hand drawn 2D side view narrative driven "adventure" game... which makes this sound a lot fancier than it is. It's just a bunch of simple puzzles with some incredibly clunky movement and a tonne of badly done cutscenes inbetween as you guide a girl to find her lost toy.
From a technical perspective, as a mobile app, this doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
The artwork here is terrible, it's a hodge-podge of amateurish MS-Paint/"My First Wacom Tablet" style drawings used instead professional looking game assets. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget to arrange someone who can create graphical assets properly, or lack of talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low, enough on its own to deter gamers.
There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision.
The controls and game handling are notably very clunky and unsmooth here. It's janky and unsatisfying to play... and any experienced gamer will tell you, the handling, responsiveness and general gameplay feel of the control scheme must be well polished for this kind of game to succeed. Unfortunately, this is something the developer seems to have phoned in, with little to no apparent gameplay testing. They dropped the ball on this one.
The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the mobile app unplayable for differently-abled gamers, or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts.
Because this is a mobile app, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the iPhones that the mobile app was designed for. These are unfortunate handicaps and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was an afterthought for the iPhone developers who are to blame for this. The mobile app is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for mobile phones forces upon a game. Once more, mobile devs have made gaming worse for everyone. I didn't spend thousands on building a gaming rig just so I could pretend it's an iPhone.
Some of the defects in the mobile app can be attributed to the choice of using the Clickteam Fusion construction kit - the "No-Code" construction kit that "Anyone can make games with!!". Including, you know, people who aren't game developers. Which is a problem. This is a very poor quality toolset sometimes used by amateur developers as it's free (so they don't have to pay for GameMaker Studio) and doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities (it's arguably worse than GameMaker Studio). Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. So it's inappropriate when amateurs try to use these for profit, without any actual, real game development effort taking place. This doesn't result in products that have any real meaningful value for gamers.
These technical defects push this mobile app below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
The poor quality of this mobile app is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 4 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality mobile app is to be expected.
Once more we see greedy mobile devs trying to scam PC gamers. On Steam, this is $2 USD, on app stores, it's free. Mobile devs must learn PC gamers are not here to be gouged, and can't be expected to pay a premium for a free mobile app just because it's been lazily dumped on Steam. This is unacceptable disrespect for PC gamers. Because this can be played free elsewhere, and because of the other defects, it's impossible to recommend. Who do they think we are?
No, just no.. It's one of the very few adventure games that I find totally uninspired. The solution makes little sense and it's somewhat.. Out of nowhere. Even with a guide, you'll find yourself face-palming as to how you progress.
The character is slow, it has quite a few boring back and forth and the soundtrack isn't even helping.
It's also EXTREMELY short and the "story" isn't even good.
All this has going for it is the opening video..
Do not buy. I would say it was a waste of time.. But then again.. The game needs almost no time so..
The product is going to be refunded shortly after checking the rest of the games I got along with it during the sales.

Cool Game, Great Vibes, Great Animations. Puzzles are hard though but I managed to like them a lot. I played the game on Android and I bought it for steam to. Keep up the good work.
I liked the game very much. It has some great graphics and animations, plus the story is lovable and sweet. Sure the gameplay's kinda buggy ( I blame that on engine though ) but the game overall is worth playing.
I really like the artwork and the animation in this game, nice and simple but very well done.
Once I figured out the first puzzle I didn't have a problem, you kinda realize its going to be sneaky and a challenge, when are adventure games logical?! there's a big enough clue something can be do in a scene.
For the price you can't go wrong, its well worth a look
The game is so cool! An adventure game with amazing puzzles; get out of the box to solve them. Creative hand drawing animations with nice story. Its really hard sometimes but the satisfaction when you solve the puzzle is AWSOME. Everyone must try this game!

Everyone must try this game! It's cheap for the price and it's all about having adventure that includes mystery and some tricky parts of course! Besides I bought this game because I think the creator of it can easily make much bigger and better games with more support, so it's always a pleasure to support game makers and artists.

This game has good animations. has a little problems with keys but it can be handled and those puzzles are the best property of the game which I LIKED THE MOST.

The Steam review system sucks, as I can only leave an up or a down vote for a game I feel conflicted about. Anahita The Good Girl is an incredibly charming game in a genre I love, and yet, I feel obligated to leave a caution to people like myself.
I should be in love with Anahita. It's a combination of two of my favorite genres of all times - cinematic platformer and arcade adventure, all wrapped up with super-charming minimalist art and quirky hand-drawn animation, and even a full-motion opening and ending movies. On the other hand, it's a broken, buggy mess with zero quality-of-life features, infuriatingly unresponsive controls and a few puzzles that can only be solved by looking up a guide as they make zero sense in any universe (the piano puzzle and the falling rocks puzzle in particular).
If this game ever receives an update that makes it less broken, I'd edit my review, but as it is, and it breaks my heart to say it, Anahita is way too frustrating.
A very fun game

Maybe at first I was a little disappointed with the difficulty of the game puzzles, but gradually and with the continuation of the game, I was satisfied with it.
I suggest you buy this game and enjoy it
First puzzle. You need a rope and bucket. The bucket is lying on the ground in plain sight. The rope is sticking obviously out from a tree within clear reach of the player. But you cannot pick it up. How do you get it, by getting ontop of the nearby well and jumping onto an invisible platform on the tree sprite then jumping onto the part of the tree where the rope is thus knocking it down and allowing you to pick it up.
This makes zero practical sense why the player cannot pull the rope down from the tree like any ape could. And it makes zero ethical sense because the platform you need to jump to is literally not visible at all nor is that part of the tree more pronounced or differently coloured then the rest. It is just an invisible platform which lines up with a part of the generic background tree sprite. And you can only even reach it if you jump while specifically standing on the well.
Second puzzle. Get a bowl. Where is the bowl. The bowl is in a screen which you reach by walking into a solid wall with zero indication that it is anything other then a wall and before this puzzle triggered the wall was actually solid as well. So the player has absolutely no way of knowing this area even exists without randomly walking into the solid wall and realizing it leads to a new screen which has perpetual barking sound effects which have probably given me a headache.
Third puzzle. Find a use for the milky feather. The previous puzzle was leading up to you milking a cow and spurting the milk onto a black feather you found. Makes no sense. Ran around the whole map, could not find anything to use the feather on. Ran around the whole map, could not think of anything to use the feather on because this makes no sense.
This is not an adventure game it is a puzzle game and it is an incredibly bad puzzle game at that. First puzzle, took forever to solve because it requires you to jump onto an invisible platform you have no way of knowing is there. Second puzzle, took forever to solve because it requires you to enter a hidden screen you have no way of knowing is there. Third puzzle, makes no sense at all and could not even find anything at all to solve it with. The solution is probably exactly like the other two, completely unintuitive and basically hidden from the player.
At that point I did not even stop playing because I was fed up with the awful puzzles, I quit because I did not want to have to search around in the screen with the dogs barking in the background anymore. Here comes the headache that will last multiple times longer then this games playtime even if I did bother to suffer through it all.
Inspired setting with heartwarming graphics,
as mentioned by other reviews, feels like great (and rare) cinematic platformers such as Another World,
beautifully handcrafted animations both in-game and in cutscenes.

Amazing game!!!. Like to Another world or Flashback old classic style games. Beautiful hand drawing animations with nice story. Price is really Ok too.
Anahita is basically an adventure game that uses platforming controls instead of a point&click interface. While I really like animation the game has some of the worst puzzles I have ever seen. There were at least 20 moments where I questioned the logic or the complete lack of it. Although I will admit that I found the obnoxious puzzles somewhat hilarious.
Well, the controller support wasn't working. There are no hard platforming sections but the jump delay managed to kill me at least 30 times. On that note, the checkpoints would not work in a predictable manner. You will need to grab something that looks like a background more than once. Sometimes I found new areas by complete accident.
The game is about 1-2 hours if you do it blindly. It has 4 different areas, each with some nice doodles.Although there is no text other than visual storytelling. If anything I enjoyed the heartwarming ending.

Unfortunately, this review is mostly positive because of the low price. I think the doodles art style is pretty cool if you into that. The main issue is the puzzle logic but there are all kinds of small problems that degraded my experience.
I finished this game recently on Android. In a word it was absoloutly "Fun". Actualy I liked it very much that I bought the PC version too. Honestly I think that this is a game that should absoloutly be played on PC. Graphics and Animations are really adourable and cute, Puzzels are not very hard nor easy And the Gameplay is fun.
