Rogue Trooper

It's really good!!!

I never played it as a kid because it just looked like a "generic shooter", but this is totally the original Xbox's version of Vanquish for the 360. A shockingly polished shooter with 1 nonintrusive gimmick [The one-resource-backpack-crafting-thing] that doesn't do anything surprising story wise, but does it VERY well.

It's just filled with so many little things like an intercom telling the enemy near the end of one mission you killed a general last mission. A turret section were you have to run between 3 different turrets while fighting people off your train. And the art direction is beautiful!! I was stopping just to look at the cool sky vortex thing during the stealth tutorial, or a massive crashed ship you have to climb into, or the neon signs throughout the city level. The crafting system even put me into this survivalist mindset where I was asking myself is it worth fighting this group or should I sneak past? I was thinking like I was a "Rouge Trooper" behind enemy lines!!! I was so pleasantly surprised by this! Only real problem is the final boss was just a horde fight. Nothing special.

The port's ok enough, I had to set up the controller myself because there's no contoller support or widescreen. I really wanna get the remaster when it's on sale, but this version is perfectly playable and fun and I highly recommend it.

It's a fine short game. It's a bit clunky. The story is a bit cheesy, more so in terms of presentation (but I still like it). The game is fun however. They tease a sequel which unfortunately didn't come out. It has potential as a series. It turns out that this game's story is based off a British comic book. I had to look that up just to be sure there wasn't a second game out. So that's kind of funny. I guess it is a series, but not a game series. The only thing I would warn is that this game only supports one 16:9 resolution and that's 1280x720. You'll get more pixels instead if you run it at like 1280x1024.

I bought this for a dollar or something. It's worth it.

I enjoyed reading the comic years ago. Now getting to play as the rogue trooper is very cool.

A goated comic book adaptation. The HD Remake does nothing to improve it, other than make it shiny-er. Get this intead, it's the original and a classic!

Отличный и захватывающий экшн-боевик 2006-го года выпуска. Еще одно доказательство что игра может затягивать и не будучи обмазанной графикой. Сюжет, сеттинг, музыка, боевые сцены - все на качественном уровне.

2000AD fan... shame it's so dated.

Had a blast playing this Smurfs adaptation. Was one of my childhood games which I never finished before. Now that is also complete.

Can't believe how much I enjoyed this game, I thought that the nostalgia made me remember this game being good but I'm happy to say that even now it was a blast to play.
Strongly recommend.
