Bizarre game, couldnt even get past level 8, and was too bored to try for more than a few mins. I don't think I understand the point of the game to be honest. I am also not really sure why I paid for this. I may have been very drunk at the time. Not sure.
This game is awesome and really makes you think (there's an achievement for that). I also like the soothing soundtrack (Garden Music by Kevin MacLeod). Placement helps you understand the pieces better and how they work together to form solid defenses or deadly attacks. By the time you have finished this game you will be better able to think outside the box and analyze critical positions more efficiently. Solid thumbs up.
I see reviews from people that say this is not challenging but they have played less than 2 hours. If you use the guide then sure, you could do that but this honestly is tricky if you play it without cheating. I am an experienced chess player - 40 years and counting - and this is a good little puzzle game that will drive you nuts at times.
I am bothering to downvote this game because I particularly did not enjoy it, I found it very boring to play.
Two major mistakes I think the creator made were to not show which pieces were attacking where and to immediately move on to the next level after beating the current one (I need to be able to see *why* I won first, before I go moving on, in order to enjoy it...). I don't think a lot of work was really put into this.
Fun little minimalistic chess puzzle game.
Not too challenging.
Would be nice to have the option to switch to windowed mode.
