It is five years since the events of 1999’s “The Silver Case,” set in the new 25th Ward that arose in the bayside area of Kanto. In a room of the “Bayside Tower Land” apartment complex, a woman is found murdered under mysterious circumstances. This sets off a series of seemingly random events bridging across multiple protagonists including The Silver Case’s Tokio Morishima. With all viewpoints assembled, a truly shocking pattern emerges…
Available for the first time outside Japan, The 25th Ward: The Silver Case is presented with completely rebuilt HD assets and additional content not found in the original version.
Key Features:
A SUDA51 Trip - Set in the “Kill the Past” universe, the series continues its bleak look into a semi-futuristic world on the edge of collapse and the misfits and antiheroes that inhabit it.
Brave New World - The return of the signature “Film Window” system is brought to The 25th Ward for the first time! New visuals, sounds and controls capture the game in a fresh perspective.
One Story, Many Sides – Explore this dark take on Tokyo from three different perspectives, “Correctness,” “Placebo,” and “Matchmaker.”

The 25th Ward: The Silver Case is a cool detective game with a lot of storylines. The music is engaging and relaxing at times. This is a visual novel but there are two chapters that have some turn based combat if you're interested in that. You shouldn't have to play The Silver Case to enjoy this game, but I'd say that it wouldn't hurt to do so if you haven't. Like all visual novels, The 25th Ward can get kind of tedious at times. There are a couple of grindy achievements if you're an achievement hunter. That said, if achievements are important to you, the final achievement is going to be a very tedious pain that feels wildly unnecessary. I am a fan of detective games but have a tendency to get bored with visual novels about half way deep. The 25th Ward had a cool enough story to keep me going until the end, however I'm shocked at how many people actually have the final achievement. It's a frustrating experience but it shouldn't run you off from the game. The 25th Ward will lack replay value after you've done everything, but you're going to get about 15-20 hours of gameplay if you wish to 100% the game. The story is solid, the game is aesthetically pleasing, and the music is top notch. I give it a 3.5/5 overall.
matchmaker made me cry
Matchmaker was specifically designed to make me incredibly depressed and make me go crazy but in like. An awesome way
jabroni
It is a unique and bizarre continuation of the Silver Case. The gameplay was upgraded, and not always obvious puzzles (due to translation) were added. Amazing soundtrack and visual style. The narrative is more and less structured at the same time. And yet 100 endings is a bit too much.
A fascinating narrative and visual presentation shackled to a game that desperately wants to be more than just a visual novel with very mixed results. Most of these gameplay segments boil down to 'moving' (by way of clicking a direction and watching a cutscene) through very dull, almost entirely featureless environments trying to find the one point of interaction that will allow the story to continue. Just an absolute chore and I'd strongly recommend using a walkthrough if you do decide to take the plunge.
so kino I vomited blood everywhere
Masterpiece
good
When it comes to visual novels, this one simply didn't manage to grab me. The UX and UI are lacking in ergonomy and the story doesn't manage to make a compelling case to make you stay. There are many others out there that are more worth the time, despite the good ideas the game seems to have.
i kinda creamed by the end of this
ngl 51 outta 10 game
when my past is killed this is what my head will play plus more yaoi (matchmaker)
8/10
A sequel that was just as wild as its predecessor. The Matchmaker storyline was easily my favorite. Tsuki and Osato are such a great duo. Their final chapter got me choked up. The Correctness storyline was def a bit hard to follow in some places and some of the puzzles were a bit tedious, but overall I enjoyed it. The Placebo storyline was also fairly wacky, but easier to keep up with. Morishima was amazing as always. Now, someone tell Suda I need that Yuki spin-off ASAP.
mystery is a place. you can explore it in The 25th Ward.
incredible.. truely incredible..
A perfect sequel to The Silver Case. Don't sleep on this ride. Don't miss this ride. SAVE THE LIFE. KILL THE LIFE.
Oh, and SUDA owes me 50,000 ¥ + a PC port of Flower, Sun, and Rain for making me go through black out 100 times.
Don't depend on the net.
