It feels like a short version of the Dark Souls series. However, its original systems and fresh experiences make it an enjoyable game that transcends being merely labeled a mini Dark Souls.
I really wish I could like this game. I managed to beat all 8 bosses, except the final one. It's just too punishing. I like challenges, but this is actually masochistic. I like to have fun when playing a game. Challenges should have solutions that aren't just based on pure skill and perfect timing for all inputs. I get that final bosses should be hard, I have played all Dark Souls games and Elden Ring. I love those games. This is not that kind of game. The challenge is so steep that I'm willing to bet most people who get this game haven't beaten it, let alone gotten to Adam. Adam one-hits me at random intervals. His combos stun-lock me and sometimes I get him to half health. But there's always a random full health instant kill from weird hits that shouldn't do that much damage, as if he has a random chance to crit. Random chances for things isn't a good boss mechanic. Bosses should follow rules and be well designed. The other bosses in this game are phenomenal. Some are frustrating and demand perfect timing and skill, but they have weaknesses that are exploitable. Adam has weaknesses too, but sometimes those weaknesses decide to turn off or he has i-frames, I dunno. There's a randomness to his defenses and damage that just isn't fun. Kudos to everyone who managed to beat him.
Other than that, I actually have a lot of praise for this game. The style and theme is really cool. The seven sin bosses are each so unique and interesting, truly well done. They fit their sin-themes very well, I think. The combat is mostly smooth, though it's disappointing that there is no real tutorial about combat mechanics. Apparently there's a parry function, but I've never seen how to do it so... that's shame.
All in all, this game has nice art and style. The bosses are mostly great, but demand too much precision. One-hits should be more choreographed. The whole thing of losing your will from stamina drain actively made me dislike this game. As I said, there's a lot to like, but there's too much to dislike sadly. I wish I hadn't bought it.

yea no thanks i do not like games that 1. steal ideas from other games like this game tried to be a dark soul's clone and failed horribly. to learn how to play the game you gotta fight some ghosts. also if you wanna pause mid fight or whatever to bad there's no pause button the game just continues anyway. 2. you're basically just screwed not to mention the game dont tell you what the abilities are and what they do. good luck fighting the first boss as it dont matter close or far combat it teleport away. also you can fall off the ledges as well. i do not recommend this game at all.
