Upcoming Roadmap
Please note that this roadmap highlights just some of the key additions coming to the game. Each update will also include a variety of new content, quality-of-life improvements, and bug fixes. As we progress, we’ll be diving deeper into each update to share more details with you.
About the Game
Join the chaos of war and be a part of the most iconic battles of WWII across the Eastern and Western Fronts as well as North Africa. Key battles include Carentan, Omaha Beach, Stalingrad, Kursk and more. Hell Let Loose drops you into the action, where you will have to fight across fields, bridges, forests, towns and more war-torn environments! Lumbering tanks will be dominating the battlefield and crucial supply chains fuelling the frontlines, you are essential to the colossal, combined arms warfare.
An Epic Theatre of War
Take to the battlefield in this squad-based, 50v50 multiplayer game, and choose one of our 14 roles available within the Command, Infantry, Recon and Armour unit types. Play as an Officer, Spotter, Medic, Tank Commander and more, to experience every aspect of World War II combat. Each role is equipped with different historical weapons, vehicles, and equipment that are intricately detailed, bringing the realism to the brutal and bloody warfare. Unit focussed gameplay is crucial and when done well can command the tide of battle.
Hardcore Gameplay
The combat takes place across huge, to-scale maps, recreated by utilising aerial and satellite imagery of real battle locations in stunning detail using Unreal Engine 4. These realistic battlefields are divided up into large capture sectors allowing emergent and constantly unique gameplay to evolve between the two forces of fifty players. Work as a team and make continual large scale, tactical decisions as to where to attack or defend.
Fight Together - Win Together
Hell Let Loose is not about kill to death ratios – teamwork is central to gameplay. Communication is essential. Players work together beneath the leadership of Officers and their Commander to take strategic targets on the battlefield and dominate the opposition. In Hell let loose, it’s always better to tackle things as a team. If you think you can handle the chaos of war, we’ll see you on the frontlines!

Horrible balance, shitty gameplay structured around communication but no one wants to communicate. You have to pay for most of the content, the factions are not at all equal. Tanks represent about half the power of your 50 man team, so if they die you are just screwed. If you want to play a game like this, save your money and play enlisted, or better yet, dont play that equally shitty game and do literally anything else with your time. You will either be playing with sweats who will kick you for not constantly filling the radio with unnecessary noise or apes who can barely work a keyboard. If you get lucky enough to get into a good server (thats right, I said server-- no matchmaking), you still need to rely on 49 teammates to not be so dumb they can barely tell left from right. The "realism" is just not getting hit markers, you can still tell you hit someone by either the dull thud of the bullet hitting their body, or the sharp ping of it hitting their helmet-- regardless of distance. The machine guns are "balanced" around the idea that they cant ads without being prone, but they are laserbeams over any distance, so it doesn't really matter. The American M1 Garand is objectively better than any other factions main gun because it is semi-auto and therefore allows for quick follow up shots. There is no way to practice leading targets in the practice range since its only dummies and targets, no movement. The machine guns give you a screen shake effect so you dont even need to be hit, you can never peak them to try and figure out where its coming from. The AT is the most important role but 90% of players use the AT gun to get infantry kills, because 99% of people who play this game are just kill farming, not playing the objective. I have yet to play a match where I felt it was close, either my team stomps or gets stomped. Less than 50% of people have a 10 kill streak, and the achievement even insinuates that you need to camp to do that (Filthy Camper). Warfare is a game mode that can be played on maps like Utah and Omaha Beach (don't feel the need to explain why symmetrical game play on asymmetrical maps is a stupid idea). If you don't get a good, or even competent commander (God forbid none at all), you are screwed. There is no way to even suspect if someone is cheating because you cant verify how you died. The realism comes after good gameplay, it does not make it. Lastly, weapons are class exclusive, meaning if you want to play officer, you need to grind to get a long range weapon, and if you want to be able to kill tanks outside of AT, you need to level a specific class. The only problem is every class but rifleman is limitied to one per squad, so you will be hard pressed to level while playing with a competent squad. So its either have a good team, or spend time leveling up in a squad full of lizard people from the Denver Airport. 10 second respaun timer, before you can even select which respawn you would like to go to. The respawn will sometimes just kick you out before cycling back to the 40 SECOND TIMER. If your squad doesn't know how to place, never mind properly position garrisons, you are fucked. So much of this game is out of your control, and your effect on the game will always feel like less than your opponents, just because you have to sit and watch the 10 second respawn countdown over, and over, and over again. Don't get me wrong, when you are doing good and so is your team, this game feels great. But that is very infrequent, and more often than not I have to leave before I hurt myself from smashing my fists on my desk after my sixth different respawn point is being camped
I respect the authenticity in this game but for that very reason; it's just not fun to play. It feels like this game relies more on playing with a discord group on their server or a event cause otherwise there is 0% communication now.
Also, I dunno why, but even though there is 100 players it feels like there is really like 32 cause the maps have so much wasted space. You're sitting in the deployment screen way too often with like minute long respawns that can reset if your selected spawnpoint gets squished.
Going from BF5 and RO2 I noticed the sights are way too small, crusty AA rendering and a bland looking color pallete where your enemies are always dark silhouettes. Screw that it's a pixel hunt unless you just run up on shit and accept looking at the deployment screen often.
This game wastes your time and that is one of the worst crimes a game can do. Older WW2 games did it better. Lastly fuck that queue system. The worst queue system in FPS games.
this game sucks massive meat slabs. server admins pick and choose when to enforce rules and when to make up new rules on the spot for their little d riding minions. also the game play is trash. want to run around for an hour to explode out of nowhere? go play dayz.
Once you find a good community with voice comms, this becomes an amazing, tactical, fun and rewarding experience.
Very difficult game especially for beginners. The servers suck mostly because they're all discord server related things. They might kick you for weird things. The server will say 97/100 and still put you in a que. If you get into a server good luck with literally anything. Tanks are difficult, and the roles are complicated and there is no helpful tips or tutorials and seeing enemy players is very difficult. The terrain is hard to get over and things that you normally could get over you can't. I guess WW2 soldiers can't get over small rocks. WOULD recommend this to players who have a lot of time on their hands but if you don't, don't bother. There is also a time you have to wait to redeploy which for me has gone up to 40 seconds. It gets very annoying when you can't get within 600 meters of an objective without dying and the closest spawn takes 40 whole seconds to spawn. So overall its very complicated and ESPECIALLY annoying.
Easily my most played game in the past 10 years, however developers of first Blackmatter now Team17 keep f*ing with the game, focusing all they have on 'content' over game mechanics and bugs. Content in the form of ever less playable maps, NIGHT versions of all maps (which you can play immersively and die to unknown threads or pump up the brightness like everybody else and have a lightly worse looking version of the same). New "Game Modes" that nobody asked for, especially veterans and clans do not get a say but are widely ignored when they call out issues with gameplay. Every update breaks more things than it introduces, game is slowly but surely getting optimized for consoles changing GOOD gameplay solutions (menus for loadout) for WORSE ones. Did I mention bugs not getting fixed that have been in the game for 5+ years now? Loadout bug. Now I just had the 17th or so update that resets all game settings (liked your sensitivity? find it again!) and loadouts. Why do I bother customizing characters? It takes AGES to set up all classes of all factions so you don't have to get into it during a match, especially if you want to have one saved loardout for summer and one for winter maps. Happy? Update. Do it again. And that's the s**** they want to sell you in cosmetics DLCs :'D
This game used to be great. It's still fun, but making EVERY UPDATE WORSE THAN THE ONE BEFORE is a true feat. HLL devs are not players, they are corporate and nothing else. Don't support that BS.
Don't buy.
game so unfinished i cant even change the resolution without game breaking, or change resolution in windowed fullscreen. embarrassing.
Really good game if you have some friends to play with, Some server are better than other but overall a really good game. There are some few annoying parts when using vehicles example getting stuck in a chicken house with a tank.....! Very frustrating. But hey if you like a team game then this is the one.
So fun and immersive, I shiver at every shot and every bomb. The community is always great, I've met some wonderful veterans who have really helped me learn the game. The teamwork aspect of it feels so significant and complex and strategic that even when my team loses I can often feel acomplished with my squad and feel like we gave it our best. Really good game! Don't be afraid to be a newbie on this one, others will have your back :) even being a somewhat shy person who would never use voice chats in games before this, I really feel very welcomed by the playerbase, and talking on voice chat with my squad is one of my favorite aspects of playing this, it has really helped me overcome a bit more of my timidness. Anyways, amazing game, great multiplayer shooter with very special teamworking aspects, I love it!.
Respawn, go forward, shoot, die, repeat like that.
HLL vs Squad 44
-Customization is nice in HLL, as it adds options that are wholly unavailable in Squad 44, however in Squad 44 everyone has uniformity, which is more historically accurate, but with no flair.
-Kits/Loadouts in HLL are neat, but the leveling system is not. In Squad 44, you are locked to certain kit choices by role, but every kit is available to you without any levelling
-The lack of a designated locked logistics section with Engineer roles gives HLL the same problem as modern Squad, and places a heavy burden on the shoulders of the Commander to take care of what should ordinarily be done with a logistics section. The addition of this section in Squad 44 allows for 4 engineers to take on the role of both demo and construction. The construction done by engineers in Squad 44 allows for the placement of a larger variety of fortifications and actual anti-infantry/anti-tank weapons, including anti-tank guns, machine guns, and mortars.
-Squad 44 lacks a resource node mechanic, where resource nodes do not exist, and instead players are given a set amount of armor at the start of the game that gets depleted as the game goes on. Supplies in Squad 44 are unlimited and are deployed to the front exclusively via truck. The logistics section gets trucks consisting of 2000 supply and there are several trucks available to Squad lead with 1000 supply.
-Weapon sounds in Squad 44 are more historically accurate and they allow one to pick out distinct weapons by sound alone.
Roles
-Commander:
In Squad 44 the roles of the commander are to call in heavy weapon strikes and to work with squads to capture objectives and take out tanks, team spawns, and squad spawns, all of which are available without the need to capture resource nodes. Commander in Squad 44 does not have to do any boots on the ground work with spawn placement, allowing the role to get a better perspective on the battlefield to call in strikes. Additionally, Squad 44 does not have a recon plane option, and you cannot see enemy players on the map whatsoever unless marked.
Infantry:
-Officer/Squad lead:
In HLL, Squad spawns are available to an Officer or Squad lead role, anywhere on the map, without the need for a radioman/two teammates. This makes setting up spawns easier and more relaxed. However, it does not encourage teambuilding. In Squad 44 you need other squad mates to set up a Squad spawn. While this can make setting up spawns a pain in the ass, it also makes spawns doubly as important, and requires squad leaders to communicate.
Additionally, this is all the Officer/Squad lead can do. In Squad 44, the Officer/Squad Lead also takes on the role of HLL's engineer. They can place a higher number of fortifications than the engineer in HLL and can additionally place anti-infantry and anti-tank weapons.
No signal smoke in HLL.
-Rifleman:
The ammo box in HLL is more historically accurate, but the infantryman lacks a placeable sandbag position that is available to every infantryman in Squad 44.
Each rifleman comes equipped with a camera that can be used to take 19 black and white screenshots per session in Squad 44.
No smoke grenades in HLL.
-Assault:
No major differences.
-Automatic Rifleman:
No smoke grenades in HLL.
-Medic:
No grenades in HLL.
-Support:
HLL has a flamethrower for the western front, which were used in small numbers, and under represented in milsim games. No smoke grenade in HLL.
-Machine Gunner:
No major differences
-Anti-Tank:
Limited number of AT weapons available to AT in HLL, and ranged AT feels like you're throwing baseballs at tanks. This is both historically innacurate and wholly decreases the effectiveness of AT troops. In Squad 44, most AT weapons can penetrate side armor.
-Engineer:
This role is neat in HLL but has a smaller variety of placeable fortifications, and lacks the ability to place weaponry. No class like this exists in Squad 44, as the roles of an Engineer are given to the Squad Lead/Commander.
Armor:
-Tank Commander:
There is a more detailed interior for HLL viewports, but a lack of different POVs, where HLL only has a periscope and 360 periscope, Squad 44 has a periscope, commander interior, 360 periscope, and exterior hatch view. Otherwise this role is functionally indistinguishable.
-Tank Gunner:
Gun traverse speed is remarkably slow in HLL and lacks a multitude of POVs, where HLL only has gunner crosshairs, Squad 44 has a periscope view, and exterior hatch view.
-Tank Driver:
The gear shifting in HLL is more realistic, and there is a more heavily detailed interior, but the game, again, lacks POVs. Squad 44 has a periscope view, a 180 periscope view, and most importantly, an exterior hatch view, which is necessary for looking around to make sure you are not caught on rocks or stuck in a ditch.
There is additionally no ability to fire a smokescreen from inside the tank's driver view, which makes retreating much more complex.
-Tank Hull Gunner:
There is no Hull Gunner role in HLL and instead the role is delegated to the driver, who relies on tracer rounds to make sure he hits his target. The addition of this role is largely considered dispensable in Squad 44, but it also enables for more accurate hits and more accurate kills as opposed to HLL.
Recon:
-Spotter:
There is no role like this in Squad 44, and the addition of it is really neat, as a Sniper role works best when accompanied by a Spotter.
-Sniper:
It is nice that this role is more easily-accessible in HLL, but there is also a limited number. In Squad 44, any Squad can have a sniper, despite role locks behind Squad size.
Final thoughts:
Hell Let Loose is by far an objectively worse game than Squad 44. The implementation of overcomplex resource nodes and lack of any logistics section greatly reduces the ability of a team to work together and greatly reduces the weapon options of a commander. The armor gameplay is objectively worse, limiting player ability greatly. The placeable fortifications are greatly limited, and as far as I can tell, there are no player-placed anti-tank or anti-infantry weapons. I was wrong about this not being a milsim. This absolutely is a milsim, and a horrifying mangled mess of one which places every aspect of milsims in the hands of the commander, while infantrymen and armor run around and play the game like battlefield. I regret buying this and I am actually so pissed that it installed and launched on it's own while I was sleeping, otherwise this would be the quickest refund that I'd ever issue to steam. Please for the love of god buy Squad 44 while it is still on sale. The game is only 15 fucking dollars.
Not worth. Relies heavily on teamwork. No teamwork, your army gets knocked back 2 decades. Its hard to get teamwork since players are either doing their own thing, or just arguing in chat. Imo good amount of instances of cheating, however if you try to call it out, no one will believe you.
Finding and getting in a game takes 30 mins. Then the servers will have dork ass rules and kick you if your below a certain level. Also no freedom of speech because some acne ridden admin will ban you. Only medics can res people and no one chooses medic so no point in waiting for one. All around shit title.
This is a fun game that offers a more realistic version of a WW2 FPS. It's kind of like a faster-paced WW2 Squad. However, there are a couple of big glaring flaws related to the deployment system and the revive system. The deployment system in HLL involves everyone selecting a spawn point: HQ AKA main base, Garrison, or Outpost (like a squad rally point). The spawn timers reset in waves and everyone who selected that spawn point respawns at the same time. The major issue with spawning is that enemies can hide WITHIN your main base/HQ and shoot you as you spawn. Same with Garrisons and Outposts, to the point where you have no ability to shoot back because the enemy sees your character model before you can ready your gun, aim, and fire. PLEASE fix the spawn camping issue in this game, particularly with HQs. Enemies should be restricted from entering HQ areas.
The other big issue is how reviving works. The only class that can revive other players is the medic class which would be ok if more people were medics, but very few actually choose that class as there isn't really a benefit. The result is everyone immediately giving up and taking the 10 second penalty instead of waiting for the rare medic to actually revive you. Hell Let Loose would benefit from treating the medics like Squad. That way they can heal faster, revive faster, and have way more bandages, but every player can revive another player if needed.
Gave it a good try but i just don't think the game is worth it. to many little annoying things ruined it like having to change your uniform based on the weather.
I have a friend from work who plays this game otherwise I would never touch this toxic steaming pile of a game. Firstly the network performance is horrible. All the good servers are community ran and they all have level locks on them so you must be level 25 or higher to join or get kicked. Tbh this would be the downfall of any online game. There are not enough official servers. Most are full or have slow connections. I have fast internet. Secondly the community is extreme toxic garbage. I have played a few games where there will always be some d-bag with anger issues screaming into a mic at people. Not an enjoyable atmosphere. I cannot tolerate violent people at this stage in my life. A buzz kill for this title. I get this game is more of a military sim but holy cow man. People in this game are more than rude, and probably beat their girlfriends after a bad game if they got one. My connection issues cause gameplay issues. I make a mistake, lag thorws off my mouse aim and some useless childish piece of crap ends up screaming at you because of it. Pretty bad overall experience with the community. The only fun I had was with my buddy in this game and he does not get angry about silly bullshit things like these people do. I'm not new to this genre either having played titles like Arma 2 and Insurgency over the years. This is not very enjoyable outside playing with friends.
This is a fantastic game, I love it so much. The feeling of being another cog in the machine is an amazing style of gameplay. Hopping between different roles in a squad and getting to learn each is fantastic.
However I cannot recommend this game at the moment because Easy Anti-Cheat is breaking everything on my PC via Blue Screens. There are no faults with my system, every other game runs flawlessly, and re-installing Easy Anti-Cheat doesn't fix the problem. Most egregiously the most recent blue screen fried my custom keyboard. I can't in good faith recommend a game that has damaged both my system and some of my hardware.
When it doesn't brick my computer and peripherals it's actually a ton of fun.
So, starting off, this game looked really really promising when i started my research and bought it, i sunk like 2 hours in watching guides gameplay and videos of the game. I get home today really hyped to try it out just for me to get really slow response times, stuck on a loading screen, or the game just not even working. Keep in mind, i run this game on a high end PC with nothing else running in the background. I also use pretty good internet. it just seems like i can not play this game no matter what. I'm gonna try a few more things to help fix this but if it does not work I will refund my purchase and keep this review up.
wait 10 minutes for server page to load
cant use any weapon that even remotely interests you
spawn in and run for 10 minutes realtime
suddenly fall down and bleed out for 5 minutes real time while no one even attempts to help
die
you've just played this game for half an hour :)
don't be fooled by what you think the game will be. it's not that.
Got it during the free weekend and was hooked! The leveling for classes do take some time to progress but the different roles you can play imo is what makes the game so fun. Like Squad but smaller maps.
A few gripes:
Scout Class- the officer role for Scout has to be filled and maps usually have 1-2 Scout Sqds available.
Engineer Class- MORE STRUCTURES!
Support Class- I wish their supplies were buffed from 50 to 100.
Uniforms- Make them more idk better looking I guess.
Arty- Some matches you can adjust the mil quicker than others. Idk if its a class thing or server thing but
they should have a class designed for it.
Overall: great game 8/10
Hell Let Loose nails the chaos of war with huge battles and tactical gameplay. Teamwork is key, and the realism makes every fight thrilling. If you love authentic WWII action, this game’s a must!
game plays like it came out in 2003, in a bad way.
to name a few,
Cheaters EVERYWHERE.
Constantly spawning and dying from seemingly nothing.
Invisible enemies everywhere.
invisible walls where there shouldn't be invisible walls.
no accessible buildings except ones that are completely useless to you.
no working doors.
guns have shot deviation that would lead you believe they're smooth bore.
did I mention the cheaters?
honestly, if you want a MILDLY OK first person world war 2 game, go for enlisted.
it has SOME of the same problems as this game, but at least its free, don't waste your money here.
Since crossplay was introduced, the gaming experience has dropped a lot.
Auto-aim for console players should be removed.
New players don't want to learn the game mechanics they want to play WWII COD.
They simply don't have the patience for slow pace war game like Hell let loose.
Wanted to love this game. The detail is great but spent 3 hours being killed over and over with never a chance to even get a shot off. multiple times i'd spawn and be up for less than 10 seconds only to wait 20 seconds to respawn. Not worth the $30 I payed for it.
Not a military simulation nor an arcade shooter. The weapons are way too accurate at range. Only 20% of rounds fired from soldiers in WW2 actually hit an enemy. This game it feels like this is 90% or more. Just not a game for any player but a vert very small niche. Finding a server that is balanced and fair seems like filling out a tax form. Game play feels tedious at best.
Hell Let Loose is the perfect blend of strategic warfare and absolute chaos.
For example, you’re trying to coordinate with your squad and suddenly someone decides it's a great time to run straight into a tank or an open field because why not? Right!
The maps are massive, the gunfire is intense and the only thing more frequent than explosions is the "Friendly fire? Oops!" moments.
If you're not busy dodging artillery, you're probably lost in a field wondering how you got there. It's like a history class, but with a lot more screaming and very questionable decisions.
10/10, would die for the tenth time in a row.
Fun game if you don't treat it like COD, take your time, play as a team. And don't play as commander until you've got a good grasp on the game.
I got scammed pretty hard, i'll be upfront and admit it. I only play this through game pass now cuz can't join servers on the steam version. Either crashes the game or just a looping loading icon.
Waiting for the servers to appear takes several minutes some times, very buggy, with a few Freezes/crashes, game is clancky, nothing fancy at all in any aspect. No fancy movement, shooting is basic, very basic. Good game to be an annoying sniper. Other type of ground troop you will be in hell for sure. Long distances to be covered, big respawn times. Can't see enemies. Waiting and running simulator. Kicked constantly by a bot because the officer in your squad left. Super annoying. There is some griefing, and lots of cheaters.
There are better free games out there. No way this is worth the full price, not even half. Much better games sell for cheaper during holidays. Doesn't live up to the hype one bit.
Not dead at all
Loads of unqiue social situations
Other classes are overwhelming at first but although the game can be intense overwhelming and full of death its actually really chill
the game reminds me of squad, all the same mechanics to be honest except for the team work, i will probably be refunding this game, i think its because the game is on xbox gamepass is whats causing the lack of teamwork and cohesion between the players, it just makes the game not enjoyable one bit, there are no squad leaders, and even if there is there is no cohesion between the squads, just makes for an overall not enjoyable experience
I keep being told the player base is friendly but every server I have joined I get spawn killed and flamed by teammates. this turns into a respawn simulator very quickly
Actually so poorly made it is insane. Great internet and average pc can barely get into a game despite how bad the graphics are. If you alt tab while loading you just gotta restart the game. I am baffled it can be so poorly optimized lol.
Honestly when this game is fun, it's incredibly fun. Probably even the best FPS experience that you can have. The graphics are great and the sound design in incredible. This results in the game on a surface level being very immersive. That said, the problem is trying to find a server, team, squad, etc. where this game finally gets good. 90% of your time will be spent playing with people who either don't have mics, refuse to talk, or completely disregard the objective/don't play with their squad. Also, the majority of the time you are going to get shot and killed by something you cant see.
I really want to like this game but I can't. This is the most frustrating game ever made. It favors people with crappy graphics. The lower the settings and crappier graphics card you have the easier the game is for you. If you have any decent or good graphics card don't bother.
The game is suppose to be realistic but fails at that too. I've given this game multiple chances as it has the potential to be an amazing game but each time I give it a chance I'm disappointed at how unrealistic it is. The games tries but fails miserably at it.
no one is talking, dead squads, can't really recommend it. It's just like people bought this game to play like it was COD, which obviously doesn't work out when the game is based on team work.
As someone who often enjoys Milsim/Squad-based shooters for multiplayer, this game makes it extremely accessible and "arcadey" when I'm not feeling as committed to either Squad or Arma. Incredibly fun, balanced, and gorgeous to look at. Plus the WW2 setting is arguably the best feature. Highly recommend!
Not call of duty. If you want to enjoy it, use a microphone and talk with your squad mates. If you want to play solo without a microphone, no where near as fun.
mix of milsim and battlefield style pacing, next gen level graphics historical accuracy. get into the right squad and have a group of guys working together nothing is better than that. no complaints.
good game shit devs lack of banning and dealing with cheaters bigger problem is the cross platforum console crap and there aim assist pooop shame
One of the best games I've ever played, steep learning curve but and can be extremely frustrating at times, get a good squad with a good officer and a team that communicates and this game is next level. immersion is next level. keep it up guys.
Fun Game. Highly recommend if you played on PC Game Pass and want a better experience. Still wish it ran a bit better.
runs better than all the newer games looks better than the newer games plays great feels great just honestly all around great
This game is pretty much perfect for it being this old. However I'd like to see some cross-platform abilities for PC and Console.
Might be fun for peaple with cheats or those who learned the maps 4 yrs ago
spent $50 for the game because friends wanted to play.
spent enough time in the practice mode to make sure that I knew what I was doing before a game that now I can't refund the game
friends get on
find out crossplay explicitly excludes PC
so I can't play with my console friends, despite advertised crossplay
Really bad, dated graphics, sluggish gameplay
games good but after a update the games 100% unplayable i cant join any servers ive tried everything to fix it and nothing works waste of 50$
refunding because i cant paly the game becuase its so bad (i cant connect to host)
This game has come so far since I was originally gifted it about 3 years ago. It is everything I ever wanted in a large scale tactical FPS. There is an essential aspect of communication between Command and Squad leaders, thoughtful markers and ultimately the game incentives teamwork and punishes Call of Duty-style bravado. I've also noticed the average age is a little higher, as this game probably turns off those looking for a mindless shooter.
Lastly, the game looks absolutely beautiful and runs with absolute stability, compared to titles like PUBG that look and run like they came out in 2008.
I could not recommend HLL enough, it deserves all the praise it gets and more.
