Join the chaos of war and be a part of the most iconic battles of the Eastern and Western Fronts, including Carentan, Omaha Beach, Stalingrad, Kursk and more. An Epic Theatre of War
Take to the battlefield in this squad-based, 50v50 multiplayer game, and choose one of our 14 roles available within the Command, Infantry, Recon and Armour unit types. Play as an Officer, Spotter, Medic, Tank Commander and more, to experience every aspect of World War II combat. Each role is equipped with different historical weapons, vehicles, and equipment that are intricately detailed, bringing the realism to the brutal and bloody warfare. Unit focussed gameplay is crucial and when done well can command the tide of battle.
Hardcore Gameplay
The combat takes place across huge, to-scale maps, recreated by utilising aerial and satellite imagery of real battle locations in stunning detail using Unreal Engine 4. These realistic battlefields are divided up into large capture sectors allowing emergent and constantly unique gameplay to evolve between the two forces of fifty players. Work as a team and make continual large scale, tactical decisions as to where to attack or defend.
Fight Together - Win Together
Hell Let Loose is not about kill to death ratios – teamwork is central to gameplay. Communication is essential. Players work together beneath the leadership of Officers and their Commander to take strategic targets on the battlefield and dominate the opposition. Unique Meta Game
Manage resources and supplies to call in support, bombing runs, new vehicles, strafing runs and to reinforce strong-points or flank enemies. When a sector is captured, it will generate one of three resources for your team, creating a complex game that will influence your team’s march to victory. Strategy is key to success.

Poorly optimized, a lot of stuttering. But gameplay was great in certain points.
Very fun and immersive game, requires lots of teamwork and communication which helps make it even more immersive. The dynamic map changes due to weather and what time of days is also amazing going from being able to see to nothing at all due to the snow. Definitely recommend people pick the game up and try it just try to have a mic and communicate with your squad at least a little.
Game runs laggy as all get out on a 13700k system yet still manages to look very dated. I've tried this game a couple times over the course of 3 years waiting on updates and gotten a refund once before. Steam has denied my most recent request even though I have less than 2 hours played on this purchase. I feel scammed.
I love watching people I spent all game becoming friends with getting turned into pink mist. 10/10 PTSD simulator. Would recommend.
This game used to be a whole lot of fun and then team 17 got a hold of it as each new update comes out theres more and more and more bugs and errors and connection issues and fps drops etc etc etc the game is now to the point to where no matter what i do i can not stay in a lobby for more than 5 minutes without getting a "lost connection to host" (this is the only game i have any connection issue with) Team 17's recommended fix for this issue?? switch your router or change ISP. a dev team that tells its player base to buy new routers and change your ISP instead of simply fixing their broken game is a dev team that doesnt deserve a player base
Fun WW2 shooter, graphics are great. Tons of servers and they're still updating the game with new content on a regular basis. Went through some rocky changes in the last year but they've come out on top IMO. Definitely recommend this game.

I met this guy from Mississippi, we had a good conversation while pushing up to the enemy for about 15 minutes. He and I alone snuck through their trenches and took them out without being detected. He told me about his kids, his wife, and the stuff he got his kids for Christmas. As we finally got to the frontline I watched him be blown up by an artillery shell. 10/10
Hell Let Loose was a lot of fun when I first played it, even though my computer at the time was quite bad. Unfortunately, it has become nearly unplayable now. Despite upgrading to a much better system, the game still runs poorly. It’s such a shame because the game has great potential. The player base has also dwindled significantly since I first tried it. It would be amazing if the developers could address these performance issues. Having to remove intro videos just to improve FPS is a clear indication that the game needs optimization. It's frustrating, especially when the game could be so much better.

spawn, run silently with a few other confused idiots for about two to three minutes, die instantly, repeat until match is lost. for a little variation, you might also get banned for accidentally choosing a role or creating a squad even when there are no open squads. amazingly boring. really great stuff.
every time I've played this game I've found the steamrolling more and more noticeable. you're very unlikely to find a functional team, especially if you're not playing as (with) the nazis on the german team. this game would be good if it was tweaked sufficiently that there was any game to experience at all for 9/10 players but there simply is not

I'm sure this game is great, but i'll never get to know because I can never get into a game, & when I do I get booted or lose connection because the server ping is so high...
Too be honest. There is nothing wrong with the game, its fun and a good play. Except for the fact that you will be kicked from the server every 5-15 minutes. Idk if its my internet or what. but when you join a server that says 25ms ping you should be good right. wrong. the whole time ive owned this game I have "lost connection too host" every game........ every game...... and I thought it was the crossplay doing this. so i turned it off and found out the game is dead on pc. there were 3 servers compared too 800 on crossplay. and the 3 servers had no one on any of them. So this leads me too believe the game has server issues as my ping does not affect me in other games. at this moment its unplayable for me and honestly a massive let down. hope this error or glitch gets fixed.
After spending some time learning the mechanics and playing a few matches, I can confidently say this game is a blast, but not in the typical "run-and-gun" shooter sense. If you go in expecting a tactical, team-oriented experience, you'll have a much better time.
The audio design, gunplay, and map layouts are all top-notch, creating an atmosphere that feels gritty and authentic. Hearing a mortar strike land nearby or exchanging fire in the chaos of battle is quite immersive.
That said, there are a few rough edges. Servers can be hit or miss depending on your region, though queues to find populated games aren't too bad. Optimization on certain maps leaves much to be desired, even with a high-end rig. I also wish there was more gun customization, like skins, to add some personal flair.
Overall, I'd rate this an 8.7/10. It's a brutally fun and immersive game, and I'd happily watch my squadmate get turned into bits by a mortar strike again.
I love this game, but the community has ran it into the ground. A woke agenda coupled with borderline acoustic admins make this a grueling experience for new and OG players. This game has given me many fond memories and laughs, damn near PTSD lol. It is a sad day. trash game due to trash people. You will ruin the community.
have had a connection to host problem for a long time now. im not the only one and team17 just chalks it up to being the gamers isp not the spaghetti code they did. just know if you get this they wont fix it and youll be out money.
game is hot ass if you want a mill com game buy arma or squad. this game has little to no communication through teams and really isn't "realistic" like the other games listed its missing more than the game provides. was looking forward to playing until my first 15 minutes,.
I wanted to like this game, but it just has too many issues.
The main one is that pretty much no-one online uses a mic. It spoils the game completely. Everyone is just playing their own separate war, essentially making this a single player game. There's no command and control. No coordination at all. That means you mainly wander about the map until you get shot out of nowhere. 99% of the gameplay is just that. It's dull and frustrating.
Other issues include the completely unrealistic and non-immersive spawn system. It makes no sense and has no bearing on reality. Same with the logistics system.
I'm really disappointed as I've been considering buying this game for a while now.

HLL is really fun when everything is working. The problem is it rarely has everything working. Every update T17 puts out seems to break more of the game. T17 is quick to put out new paid DLC skins but not so quick to fix the game breaking bugs and glitches that have plagued it for almost 3 years.
Plus the community has taken a real shit the past few years. No one communicates. No one plays as a team. No one plays the game as intended. People are more concerned with farming their 0.15 K/D ratios then playing the roles as designed.
T17 should be ashamed of themselves for what they have done to this game.
Spend 10 minutes trying to load the game, 20 minutes waiting in a queue for a server just to lose connection to the host, rinse and repeat till you actually manage to get in one.
Spawn In and spend 20 minutes trying to catch up with your squad before a Bush snipes you.

I am experiencing big VOIP bugs in game, where my headset is not recognised and cannot communicate with teams anymore. This is very annoying.
A Great WW2 shooter that will pave the way for future 100 vs 100, 200 vs 200 servers or more. If you played company of heroes and enjoyed it. Imagine playing COH in first person mode. It gets to many negative reviews because these players don't communicate or support any of their squad members. This game relies heavily on good communication and supporting your squad through specificly taylored role classes for breaking defencive points or holding them. Reinforcements rely heavily on resources that an officer class can only build. Only officers and commanders can build respawn points for your team to spawn on. If you find yourself in a squad with no officer don't expect a warm welcome from the veterans who been playing since early release. Make sure and have mic and do what your told for a good experience that will keep you motivated during the learning curve. If you never play officer your putting a huge burden on them because you can't do the officer roles you can't see the whole strategic map and markers put down by other officers.So the regulars get mad Because then they have to do it for the whole team. Little cod punks who won't even turn their music down so they can turn their mics on. Stay away from servers who allow 3+ squads with no officer as u don't stand a chance of holding ground because your always pushing from rear lines.
You will die allot at first but if you listen to people and do logistal stuff then you'll soon get the edge and patience needed to dominate. I highly recomend this to any who ever ask themselves if they would've been a good military leader and stratagist or who just want to chill and hang out with 49+ people at any given time as it's a great way to meet new gamer friends online. So yeah get it RIGHT NOW and don't be shy hit me up if you need anything to get started. I know the game pretty well and can introduce u to seasoned vets that can make a solid soldier out of you in week or twos time. See you on the battle field.
"70" dollar game on 50% discount. Even though this game was 35 every single month before hand. Don't buy this game where they are enticing u with a "good deal" even though its worse than what it usually is.
Playing as Axis just to to hear the anthems and pop some heads with a *cling* is the best experience with this game.
Very fun WW2 military simulation game that utilizes a class system to engage teamwork with others. Each role has their own niche and you have to work with your squad as well as team as a whole in order to win. Games can last more than an hour at times and is just an overall fun, breath of fresh air compared to the really fast-paced Call of Duty type games.

One of the best WWII multiplayer games I have ever played. If you are reading this to buy the game, I would absolutely recommend it. But what new players have to understand is that this game isnt like any other fps game. To get good, you need to play and overtime you will get better. Just dont get angry when you are getting spawned killed or getting shot from nowhere. It only means that the enemy player can see you but you cant. PLAY IT PATIENTLY, INTELLIGENTLY AND STRATEGICALLY, AND THEN IT WILL BE ENJOYABLE. Also use a mic for better experience. Communicate at all times
Cannot connect to the server, i have tried every tip and trick that has been suggested, fresh install, same, unable to get past the first screen.
Good game and have had no technical issues since purchase over 3 years ago. New update has given "Network error please try again" and despite following every thread on steam, reddit plus instruction from team17 threads the game will not work. Would not recommend this game right now as there is no fix that I can find to actually play. If there isnt a fix soon I will have to refund.
They introduced a random network error and can't seem to fix it. Had no issues in this game in all the time I played it up until now, zero help from the company other than "try changing these network settings".
This game is broken, it is completely unplayable as hundreds of players cannot even reach the main menu. I was playing this game fine, and out of nowhere when I try to launch it, I get an error saying "A network error has occurred" however, my internet is fine. I looked up this issue on the forums and went through the various "fixes" step by step, and like everyone else, these "fixes" did not work. I can play every other game in my library.

I have played this game too much, it has slowly but surely gone backwards since 2021/22. This week Team17 has nominated themselves for a steam award, the same weekend where they forgot to renew there SSL certificate rendering the entire play base unable to connect. Don't waste a cent on this game, if you can get it for free it maybe worth it.
I really enjoy this game. Levelling up does take awhile but it feels rewarding when you do. On the other hand, I think they need to figure out a way to add more unlocks for overall level progression to make it more intriguing to grind.
I would only recommend this game if you’re going to be using a headset and plan on participating with communication as it makes the game muvh more enjoyable and helpful to others. The community overall is great with some very experienced individuals and some not so much (which is okay! we all learn). I’ve had a couple overly “hardcore” people but that comes with every game.
One thing I would really enjoy seeing is the Medic class reworked a little. You receive little to no ammo to fight, finding myself running out all the time. I know the class is meant to be use to go around healing people but it doesn’t make it worthwhile to play as.
In addition, the downside I have with the to this current date is the game’s optimization. Russian maps I always find my frames to drop making me have to lower the quality down even with running a high-end PC. Would love to see a full fleshed out update tackling these core game issues.
Overall, I would recommend this game to those interested in a much less “fast paced” environment compared to traditional FPS games.
Side note: Please at some point, introduce the Japanese Empire! Would love to have a massive change in environment and play style!

Excellent game with some great potential for fun from match to match. Make sure to watch video guides on how to play beforehand, communicate, and listen! Yes you will die, a lot, but that's part of it. Play smart, let people come to you unless you're flanking. Have fun!

Great game, I have so much fun with it, it is boring if you play with people who don't communicate, but the games with communication are some of the best gaming experience I've had.
This game is awesome if you can really get into the role play aspect. Make sure you use a headset too and speak to your teammates
Played over 200 hours without a problem. Out of nowhere i no longer find myself able to join any servers.
"Loading" Simulator, with an infinite "Lost Connection To Host"
It has "not" been fixed with the new update. I don`t know if i will ever be able to join a server again as team 17 never take accountability for the people with this issue. They say it simply can`t be the games "fault" and must be the gamer`s "internet" which is at "fault"
Funny they think this when almost everyone with this problem, which i have found on support feeds, say the same as me. IT ONLY DOES THIS IN HELL LET LOOSE
Love the game but hate the fact that i cannot play it. But since it worked fine and now i cannot play at all, getting this game "now" seems like a gamble. So i will have to say i do not recommend the game.
Sometimes I cannot help myself but to think that developers behind this game are AI bots with their software version from 2005.
So, the main reason I cannot recommend this game anymore to anyone is how they treat HLL from authentic and cosmetic way. The old devs made completely innacurate winter uniforms while saying they are just "placeholders" for "soon-to-come" accurate ones. Meanwhile they've left the game not delivering on their promises. New devs come saying "we will make this game more authentic", and so they got my a** all hyped up because BM said they'll be making this game more authentic regarding cosmetics and uniforms since update when Carentan got released... Fast foward to the release of Update 16, the old inaccurate uniforms are still in the game, half of the new accuarte uniforms are behind paywall and whats even worse you can still see winter uniforms on summer maps.....
And don't let me even start on having airborne uniforms on non-airborne maps and vice versa...
The game is just being milked with DLCs for money and it has become SOULLESS product, the very much thing this game was all about...
All this can be summed up in pretty much one sentance; If I wanted to play more hardcore BF5, I would be playing BF5 on custom servers.... (yet another thing this "praised-to-the -heaven" game is missing)
I have over 700 hours in this game but for whatever reason it crashes when I die, when bombs go off, when tanks blow up, when I shoot, when I got shot, and it takes about 20 minutes+ to even load into a game with my friend group because of the weird way the servers queue people so... after many hours of genuine enjoyment I just can't put an hour of rebooting and trying to join servers every time I want to play this game against an actual 10 minutes of gameplay. Goodnight Sweet Prince.

doesnt even load to the main screen to hit enlisted or any of the main menu options, also doesn't let you in servers when connecting, specially when you have a really good internet connection
