Warning: Asset Flip!
"Jewels of the Mysterious Woodland" is an asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated someone else's template/tutorial for a Match-3 game, stole some images off the internet for backgrounds, changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and submitted it to Valve as if it was their own game.
Myarcadegames Studios have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic 2D art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the lacklustre 2D visuals.
The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just iPhone screen tapping stuff. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here.
This looks and feels like a mobile app, but I wasn't able to find it on the app stores. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all).
Regardless, for all intents and purposes "Jewels of the Mysterious Woodland" might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones and play games that might as well be mobile apps.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 6 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
"Jewels of the Mysterious Woodland" has the preposterous price of around $4 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the unethical nature of the developer. Remember that if you buy a game from an unethical developer, you're putting your money at risk. Because this is the kind of game you can just play for free on mobile phones, it's impossible to recommend anyone should pay money for the same experience on Steam. This is also competing with over 9,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
I think this is the worst match 3 game. It's very terrible. Don't buy it unless you are too tire to play other games.
Pros:
+Relax music.
+Nice background pictures.
Cons:
-No Steam cloud.
-No Steam achievements.
-There are 297 levels in total. They all look the same.
-The SFX sound is bad. You should turn it off before play the game.
-There is no manual or in-game hints can tell you about the function of some special jewels.
-The rating system is a mystery too.
Terrible Match-3 game.
As at least one prior reviewer said - the levels have no posted objective which is bad. So it's just hit & miss on whether you can achieve concluding it. However my reason for the thumbs down is the "No more moves". Some of the boards are designed so restrictively you can get this a half dozen times in a couple of minutes. Not much of a "match-3" game when you're limited to one choice or zero choices. Not worth even the 1$ price point. I gave it to level 70 or so in Arcade mode. I can't see it improving.
Look elsewhere for your match-3 fix.
Unsatisfying experience.
Bad game design.
Poor controls.
Annoying sound effects.
Many beautiful pictures and meditative music but it doesn't save the day.

Overall: Eh.
I bought this because I'm struggling to find simple games on Steam that don't try to incorporate story elements or other types of gameplay.
This game is fine, it's simple and straightforward. It doesn't bother trying to shoehorn in some adventure.
Cons:
It's hard to figure out what everything does, how a level ends, and I didn't realise it was even timed until the 5th time the game just stopped and told me that I had lost.
Normally I adore match 3 games but this one I cannot recommend.
First off you are given a menu with 2 options: Classic and Arcade. The art style is very cute and the game does have relaxing music. These are the only good points I have for this game.
When you choose either classic or arcade if you wish to relax with this game do yourself a favour and switch off the sound options and leave music on before beginning. I suggest this as the sounds when matching were loud and obnoxious - not relaxing at all and in complete contrast to the music style.
Then you have no tutorial/storyline whatsoever. If you click on the menu whilst in classic mode then you restart from level 1. In this game there is no option to save!
Arcade mode is slightly better but not by much as you are given various world with 3 star ratings on each. In order to get these 3 stars there is no indication on what the goals are in order to achieve this.
In conclusion a very cheaply made game not worth the price on the market. Try and get this free in a bundle with other games otherwise completely not worth it.
doesnt work for me when launch cant see any game menu . windows 10 home 64 bit
This game feels very cheap. Gameplay is random and boring, the artwork is mediocre, the same new-agey music loops endlessly on every level. Not worth it even for a dollar; you can find better games for free online.
Your basic no-frills Match-3. Just you, some shiny jewels, and some tinkly relaxing music!
